I'm not quite redneck enough to go about nudging snapping turtles with my shoe.
So, I take it this isn't you then.

Nope! I've had a few relatives that have done something like that, though. All pieces still intact, too.

The most I've done to snapping turtles is poke one with a stick, iirc. Might have hooked one once when I was much smaller, dunno. Memory's a bit fuzzy that far back.

Today, a turtle bit my shoe.

It was entirely too cute.
I'm guessing it wasn't this turtle, or you wouldn't have a foot left:

Yeah, it wasn't a snapping turtle, though we do have 'em around here. Wasn't really small, but not terribly large, either... maybe, hrm. Two by two of dollar bills? Around that size. A bit smaller than my shoe, length wise, I think. Bigger than hand, smaller than skull. Generic turtle.

Maurice Sendak died.  :(
:(

I've got a where the wild things are tshirt I've been wearing semi-regularly for like, six or seven years now. Not really sure what else the fellow's done, but I did like that book when I was a wee sprog.

I'm not sure, but the read me might shed some light on it.

That said, considering who the artist (Well, portrait and concept art stuff) is for a lot of the (earlier, at least) langrisser stuff, I would be utterly unsurprised if it was being translated straight.

Might depend on which translation you're using, though. The mentioned langfandood one is more or less completely machine translated and somewhat notorious(ly bad) among the romhacking community. The more recent ones are of (much) higher quality.

I'm thinking throw lookass into radar if there's room, until someone better shows up. Just for the pun of it.

After that, dunno. We've got to use him for something, though, as he is the perfect age. What areas still have open space, and how much?

Pirates, eh. Well, the obvious response to me is, "There can be only one!"

The one being us. Monopoly on violence, go! Also loot. Pirate loot is the best loot, because no one bothers you about murdering them all and ransacking the corpses filching their booty~

If your space adventures don't have propellers and sails your inner child has died, you killed a child

(Yes, probably a UI thing rather than a model thing)
Space adventures get propellers when they're steampunk :P

Sails require magic or solar sail technology (or steampunk again). Inner child still there, just with a stronger preference for coherent world building, heh.

That thing looked more scifi than steampunk, though, which would mean propellers would probably have some... minor issues. Unless the race building them was just some manner of crazy, in which can superfluous propellers would be fine on a humongous spaceship. Perhaps they're used as infantry threshers in atmosphere or something, I'unno.

25929
Do... do those space ship things have, uh. Propellers? Because it looks like they've got propellers at the end(?) of 'em. I'm curious, because space propellers are a bit, well. I'd think they'd be a bit useless.

The other side to that is that if they're wandering, your critters also have a nonzero chance to wander into the invisible critter and do some damage... they've also got a chance of actually distracting and pulling off whatever's attacking you instead of just damage soaking. I've pre-channel impkilled invisible Sigmund with the former without lucking out with shadow imps, and managed to lose unseen horrors with the latter. It's definitely a thing.

My SOP is definitely tell 'em to wait and take off in the other direction. At most, I might wait until I've managed to hit a corridor -- you almost certainly want them to try wandering if the only direction they can go is toward the enemy.

There's times for both strategies, though. Meat shield is almost certainly better if you're dipping toward stairs, ferex.

There's always a slight amount of satisfaction from not coming in at the absolute bottom~

Ah, right. Remembered. Regarding the langrisser series, there's also this. And for you, nen, there's also a translation for the PC version of warsong putzing around, as well as a retranslation for the genesis version.
