You don't have to be, it's just not doing it sometimes has things go wrong :P

The annoying thing about life is actually that sometimes even if you are attentive every waking second you still break a toe or whatever occasionally. Shitty human construction is shitty, bleh. No amount of attentiveness is going to help if your leg decides to give out on you or an earthquake knocks something over on you or whatev', y'know?

No drugs, just double rainbow.

Seriously though, I think that was maybe the second or third time I've seen that in person in my life, so it's something like a once a decade phenomena, if that. Neat stuff.

Cameras I have access to a shite, so no picture, but.

Double.

Rainbow.

Presumably a ratio of roughly suplexed dragon in the corner pocket, I guess. Makes sense to me!

Huh, first I've seen mention of that. Looks like a 30+ year old building collapsed, not entirely sure why, yet, but likely poor maintenance on top of shit building location.

Honestly, given how piss poor infrastructure work is in a lot of this state, it's somewhat surprising we don't see this kind of thing happen more. Maybe there just hasn't been enough time since the big buildings started to really get built...

Not as blunt as I'm about to phrase it, but damn. Tales of Wells Fargo, episode title To Kill A Town: Old Outlaw to Young Wannabe Outlaw, paraphrased by way of removing the innuendo:

"A man like me, a man like me is always alone.

... except that time I fucked your mother."

Friggin' westerns, man. Friggin' westerns. I haven't sat down and actually watched through, like... any, at least in the last decade or two, but the stuff you see in passing actually gets pretty wild.

...

Also tales of wells fargo is like remarkably decent as western serials go? Probably one of the better I've eyeballed in terms of consistent quality. It's weird shit, basically freakin' old school corporate mercenary gunning people down and stuff when you boil down what's going on, but all... western-y. It'd basically be a megacorp propaganda series if you dumped it in a cyberpunk setting.

E: And in other wtf news, game I nabbed during steam sale (Dungeons of Chaos, not sure about much about it, yet) has a difficulty level of LOS TIBURON, which was just. Okay. Sure. Guess we're land shark difficulty now.

For some people*. I stopped reading that sort of junk years ago because there wasn't anything entertaining or cathartic or intriguing about it, just misery inducing. I'd finish reading what I started (mostly, anyway), 'cause at the time I hadn't really developed the skill of telling something written that was making my life worse to fuck off, but they never really did much but make my day worse.

Once I got the basic message of that sort of stuff, I pretty comfortably chucked out the thought of digging through that sort of literary sump ever again. Got enough misery in my life to wallow in more of it when I got time to read, y'know?

Now I dredge through other literary sumps, that at least occasionally have people throwing mountains at each other and relationships that are anything other than immiserating trainwrecks, heh.

If it's just turning into pulled pork, dump some bbq sauce (or just syrup, for that matter) in there with the beans and marinate as per usual. Pretty sure that'd turn out okay-ish.

Sophocles is one of the best people to misquote, because they were actually alive in 420 BCE. Stick that in your quote and blaze it, yo'.

Unless wesnoth has changed a lot since the last time I played it, I don't think it'll be difficult to accomplish things it hasn't, like non-jank movement and unit progression, enjoyable combat, city building, and so on :P

Like the game well enough for what it is, but what it is is fairly specific...

And yeah, of recent-ish stuff, AoW probably hits closest to MoM, least of what I've personally played. Wesnoth's just an entirely different genre, heh.

Someone needs to tell google, then, heh. The snippet that pops up right at the top when I search for it is

Naruhodo is an exclamation to express the feeling of being convinced by the opinions of others. Naruhodo originally means “as much as possible” or “as hard as possible.” Today, it is mostly used as a term of agreement, understanding, and conviction.

Which, I mean. Does make it fit the discussion that was happening better than just about any term of agreement I'm aware of, y'know? While also nicely slotting into that "oblique slashfic innuendo" communication niche! You wouldn't have any trouble convincing me the usage there was intentional :P

Fish are friends until they're food, right. Then they're friendly food! It was a good movie arc, very filling for folks what eat fish.

May it be ever happy until the point it's made tasty :P

... as hard as possible?

There's something poignant in that sounding like some kind of multilayered naruto slashfic reference, tbh.
