You should totally dump Sif for Trog then use all the spell books on ENDLESS FIREBALLS MWAHAHAHA. Seriously, though, I'd say keep Sif. I don't have much experience with Ash, but I know the whole cursed items deal sucks.
Ash is... pretty incredible, actually. If you've got channelling from another source, whatever spell access you need, and the ability to survive Sif's punishment, I'd totally say go for it. The auto-ID, limited detmon type thing, the varying XP related junk... there's a lot of good things going on. If you've got channel elsewhere and the spells you want, sif offers... miscast prevention. Well, and free amnesia.

As for the cursed item thing, it's not actually that bad, since the whole auto-ID everything will mean you pretty much never use remove curse scrolls for anything but kit changes. You still get enough from being partially bound that you can just leave a couple slots open if you need 'em for quick swapping.

Not sure if much to say besides "go nuns go." The church's response isn't very surprising, unfortunately :-\

Also wondering how/if th'walmart thing's going to effect prices in th'things. Lot of people in my area basically rely on the damn place to be able to get by.

Prayers of Ganbo. Favorite track in Grandia I, but the whole game's relatively solid.

The Little Sprite. More accurately, the entire bloody soundtrack for Seiken Densetsu II & III, as they're made largely from distilled pleasure. Kikuta in general's just pretty nice, as far as music goes.

Neat. Carrot appears to both be somewhat shorter than humans and carrying a spear almost three times its height.

I can't help but wonder if that's somehow an expression of... envy, despite not being equipped in such a manner,* or if that possiblity is voided by th'fact that a giant carrot is basically a walking euphemism already. It's a question worth pondering, in any case.

Artists rendition awesome, rest is nice, too. *Waits for next installment*

*I... guess? I suppose being giant magic carrot doesn't necessarily preclude the possibility of sexual reproduction of that sort, but y'know, vegetables tend to have somewhat differing methodologies.

Yeah... if fame is a set value (even if it's hidden), it's still ridiculously easy to fix up, though requiring ever so slightly more effort. If we reach that point, I'd be happy to try to walk y'through it if you have some trouble. It really is a tremendously painless process. Requires basically zero technical knowledge, to boot :P

If cash is the only thing you need for it, it is ridiculously easy to point a memory editor (I've been using the free edition of ArtMoney for a few years now, but there's others.) at an emulator and magic up some moolah. Can take a bit of time (as in few minutes, not few hours) depending on how powerful your system is, but the process itself is absolute cake.

When you spend a lot of time in a warm/cold environment, your body adapts to become more/less heat retentive. Your lineage also plays a role... although sometimes the genetic traits populations have can be a little odd.
... over twenty years in this flipping hellswamp of a state and I still can't stand it. Give me sub 60Fs any day over 110F in the shade (w/ breeze) and near 100% humidity. Or anything above around 70F, really.

Florida'd be really nice if it weren't for the temperature and the people. And the bugs and the snakes. The alligators and hurricanes and swamp bits are fine. I'd just like to exchange the swamp bit for bog, from what I understand. A cold, bugless, snakeless swamp sounds just delightful.

We can't find and track every tennis-ball sized lump of rock.
When... when you say "can't" there, are you saying that in a sort of theoretical sense or are you referring to actual technical limitations you know of? If the latter, could you toss some links out so we can educate ourselves?

You could also interpret those questions as a simple, "Why not?" We have some pretty impressive computers nowadays.

I also found an absolute treasure trove of sea shanty and Scottish folk song MIDIs that I can easily convert to sheet music.
Woah, woah. Can you share this bounty?

Also the smaaalll problem that walmart's, y'know, a US company engaging in illegal acts, in this situation. Regardless as to if it's socially acceptable in Mexico, it's kinda' breaking the law, from what I understand, for ol' wallie world to be indulging it it. As in, US law. That's sorta' the (/their) problem.

There we go.
*applause*

Much better done than I would have managed, too.

So there I was doing really well, on D:8 with plenty of food, potions, emergency scrolls, a maxed out book of earth and a book of beasts when suddenly I find a boulder beetle. It's name was yellow so I thought "I'll summon butterflies to keep it still, then I'll use lee's rapid deconstruction on a wall and pelt it with stone arrow" It rips through my butterflies and kills me in two turns.

Fuck you crawl.
... the roll can be side stepped and without it, the beetle is speed six. Why didn't you just walk away? Even with the roll, a boulder beetle should never get a hit in if you're a ranged character. You just kite and it loses the ability to do jack.

Am I underestimating what the roll does or something?

Breaking glass is one of the more beautiful sounds the world has to offer.

I can't help but wonder just how much effort it would take to make a breaking glass voice transformer whatsit...

Depending on the type of glass and method of breaking, you can probably get a pretty full tonal spread, or whatever that's called. Collecting the samples would probably be fun, too, if expensive.

Be an interesting project, anyway.

Ehn. If nothing else, you'll retire comfortably, eventually. At that point, you can just go "T'hell with it."

As for the day itself, didn't know about it -- don't really keep track of dates, most of the time. On the other hand, only thing I really talked to today was a dog, so...

... also not currently in school, for what that's worth.

IMO, regen ring is freaking incredible for a lot of the game. I mean... look, regen is like half of what makes trolls merely fairly shitty instead of absolute crap. Now put it on a minotaur which is a lot like a troll with somewhat worse UC and basically none of the downsides. I'd wear it as my standard kit and switch in res rings as necessary. It makes a lot of things pretty much absolutely trivial, though it does mess around with your food clock a little.

And yeah, heavy armor Mi has some trouble with casting, especially if you go large shield, too.  Now, going with two-handers, you've got a bit more leeway, and can maybe pick up that shield spell (and eventually TSO).
