Just insta-ban anyone who says anything positive about any commercial and/or governmental entity :P

And maybe every other person that says something negative.

Stick 'm in science until someone more permanent comes along, mebbe'.

As for going places, obvious answer is Geriatric haystack explore some new planets. Loot can be found anywhere, so we obviously want to go everywhere :P

Um, G? Any particular reason you're commenting on something that happened a good 3-4 years ago?

Money buys some happiness, but what most people don't get is that they sacrifice happiness for money in the first place.

It brings diminishing gains, once you get enough basic money to eat, have a nice room, a car that works, and a little entertainment. You can get maybe better stuff when you move into middle class. But after a certain point, it's more about showing off than actually bringing in any happiness. And showing off doesn't really bring happiness either, as people tend to not respect someone who has a golden fountain in their backyard, compared to someone who spends that money on charity.
Ha... yeah, it's been shown that once you're over a certain base level of wealth(/income), there's basically no -- or, at best, very, very little -- correlation between wealth and happiness. That level being around the point you don't really have much to worry about in terms of necessities. It's less "money brings happiness" and more "not living in poverty brings happiness." After that point, wealth isn't much of an indicator for happiness.

This is something psychology has been pretty much demonstrating for decades now :P

... PB&J waffles. You take two waffles, put peanut butter on one, then jelly on the other. Place the slathered sides together. PB&J wafflesandwich. Is good.

Honey is better than jelly for that, though~

Tossing a critter into the available future-corpse pile~

Name: Jack Thejil
Sex: Female
Zodiac Sign: Scorpio

Wealthy or Low-born? Low-born
Scholar or Soldier? Soldier
Worldly or Spiritual? Worldly
Hardened or Green? Hardened

Other Notes: Death from afar! A specialist in ranged attacks and a craven sadist, Jack hopes to get her malnamed hands on whatever the strongest source of physical ranged damage becomes available... and then promptly use that on the nearest squishy. Probably start aiming for archer, but from there...? Guns will be her eventual favorite thing in the world.

Assuming she lives for a longer amount of time, a secondary preference for status effects (especially physical-ish ones, like poison.) could come into play.

As for other things, add some behavioral limitations: Being a coward, Jack prefers not to end her turn beside foes and, being a sadist, gives preference to attacking whatever enemy is physically weakest (i.e. mages, healers, etc. Possibly just whoever has lowest brave or max HP.) when she has multiple targets to choose from.

Haha, happy thread has enough views this tiny hell machine is identifying it as a phone number and asking me if I want to add it to a contacts list when I tap the number.

This amuses me.

All I can really say is that I just basically waltzed to the end game with my latest MiFi attempt, which was my first go (Well, okay, there was a MiIE that survived way longer than it should have) at them with the changes. Easiest time I've ever had hitting clvl 27.

And Squirrels in the other movie... Which I thought was odd since... Squirrels don't live anywhere close to peanuts.
Wait, what? Am I missing some sort of context here? Squirrels live plenty close to peanuts. Squirrels all over th'bloody place 'round here. Peanut fields don't get any sort of exception from that. Maybe not literally in the fields, but in the forest/underbrush inevitably surrounding the fields, sure.

Oi. Throwing in the suggestion for Nadeiseco EN boost again, and probably throw the booster on it, too... at least if my memory's working and the booster is the +1 move thing. Perhaps I should have double checked my reading comprehension first :-\

Maybe some EN for Maizinger and Belz along with the weapon boost for Belz, too.

I miiiight have a bit of a hardon for not running out of dakka and go juice :P

Though it helps that EN's one of the cheaper upgrades, heh.

Why sell when you can lease? Ninja'd while adding things to pizza, bah.

Also, yeah, quite a lot is nature reserve stuff. America being America there's not much likelihood of stuff not government controlled not going to shit in semi-short order. Mind you, ol'US doesn't exactly have a monopoly on those sorts of shenanigans, but yeah.

Typing on an iPad is terribly strange.

On the varying bright sides, Internet access in bed again and I found a nice ocremix internet radio thing, I didn't pay for th'ipad (bumming off family until get new computer now that the lappy's finally kicked it), other domicile residents are gone for a day or two so 65F on AC, and having finally typed all this, Pizza Cooking Time.

Laptop (only computer I really have... well, had... consistent access to) is finally more or less kicking the bucket. Won't stay on for more than about 10 minutes, at which point it just kicks off.

Helluva day for it to happen, too, 'cause my great-uncle kicked the bucket earlier this morning. Not that I found out about it until a good eight hours after the fact. Not very close with the guy (only met at family gatherings), but I'm currently living with his sister (i.e. my grandmother) so... yeah. Poor day all around, really.

Obviously not equal issues, but yeah. Maybe I'll finally get around to re-reading that modern logic book or go through the encyclopedia of philosophy set I've been using as mousepads or something.
