... jazz is obscure? What? I mean, I don't feel like commenting on the rest of it (agree in places, disagree in others -- there's direct and tangible benefits to learning skillsets and bodies of knowledge you'll never use, ferex), but that line is just... my brain, it hurts. I'm guessing you maybe don't mean that, but... still.

Jazz isn't exactly obscure. Smooth jazz is one of the more prolific modern genres, really. Elevator music if nothing else.

I got around to finally finding, cutting out, and saving
I won't and can't say where it's from, and will not suggest anyone go looking for it, but those who know it, know the joke. That face is one of the best punchlines in illustrated media. I'm giggly for a bit now.

Most other major religions are monotheists, ain't they?
Um, the other big name religions outside the Abrahamic tradition are Buddhism (primarily non-theist) and Hinduism (Which is effectively polytheist, at least from the general Western understanding of it. Particulars are a bit more complicated and can vary.), at least as far as I know. So, uh. Not really?

Outside the Abraham trio and those two, what's left with a major (global, mind) population block? E: Or just American population block, really. Buddhism was apparently coming in forth with about .7% (Multiple millions, to help offset the apparent size of that.) of the population, back in '07.

Hey, in the area I'm in, that I was even getting it right guessing at it puts me above the curve :P

... seriously though, why is it Danish instead of Denish? People would be less likely to confuse the country's people with delicious food that way. Guessing it has something to do with the actual language?

26225
Is this America's education system? D:
OP's claiming Denmark, actually (I... think. Danish is Denmark, right? Wikipedia seems to think so.), at least in another thread.

Not sure how Denmark stacks up to the US currently, though.

They fleed their nation seeking religious freedom wasn't it?

Plus, I realize this is a blanket statement, but I believe that the first immigrants would abhor the way that we use religion to further political agendas, gather wealth, and standardize. That is what they were fleeing from after all, wasn't it?
Ehn, from what I understand it was more like they had sticks shoved so far up their arse the english kicked them out.

Parse that sentence for a bit. I tongue in cheek it a bit, sure, but yeah.

Religious persecution was in there, though, yeah, but from what I understand most of the ones that jumped ship due to religious persecution were basically pretty major extremists, which was why there was such backlash. Y'know how some of the more open minded in the States occasionally make comment about kicking the more extreme religious sects out? Pretty close to what the English actually did, though it was less "kick" and more "apply pressure until they go away."

Puritans and suchlike were kinda' assholes, though I say that in the least insulting way possible. I mean, they were at least some portion of my ancestors and all that rot. But yeah, American public education kinda' sugarcoats all that.

Heat gets too high you'll shut down for a bit.

At least some slots (Inventory, if nothing else) can be gained via installing some utility items. Not sure about weapons/engines/etc. Help or manual or something mentions "evolving," but blazes if I know what that entails.

Not sure about coverage and support. I think I had figured it out at one point, but have since forgotten. Probably has something to do with the other stuff installed getting damaged and how much weight slows you down, or something.

Nah, there was a badly stripped screw that needed to come out. Dremel was for cutting notch in screw so it could come out.

Also cut a bit of a notch in the case, but eh. Wasn't anything important in that part of the laptop :-\

Did I miss it, or has someone pointed out the obvious yet? Darvi came close, but let's put this less punnily.

In God We Trust is on US money because, to Americans, money is God.

We should go back to Out of Many, One to get rid of the idolatry and heresy, I say. Decent and faithful Christians should be up in arms over the promotion of money to the level of godhood, but somehow shameful hedonists have corrupted Christian words in order to hide their own sin.

But yeah, to the folks asking about annoyance pre-petition, that motto's bugged me for well over a decade now, ever since I really noticed it. It be nice if it went back to E Pluribus Unum.

I can feel the whir through my beeeeedddddddd.

Frakking fan. Thing. Or whatever the hell's loose in this damn laptop. Soon as th'bloody technical manual gets sent (*checks* Ah, it's sent. Okay!), it's laptop disassembly time.

Because my bones are humming lightly and this is driving me up the wall.
Plus: Laptop back together and at least temporarily functioning.

Minus: Look at quote timestamp. Look at this post timestamp. I just finished putting the damn thing back together. Did sleep between and there was a few hours break in there while waiting on a dremel, but other than that I've been spending the whole bloody time tinkering with this bloody machine.

Minus: There was a dremel involved.

Minus: I have more screws than I started out with. Despite basically demolishing a screw in the process.

Minus: Laptop's keyboard isn't quite on right anymore.

Minus: Fucking. Whir. Still. There.

Minus: Whir is now anemic sounding and strangely intermittent, which probably means nothing good.

Frumple is not particularly happy right now. It's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but gwargh, seriously.

It's not terrible for a short amount of time. Problem being is it's constant, and accompanied by a horrifically annoying racket. Which is why the thing's about to come apart and get fixed. Hopefully into a state in which it still functions and doesn't make whirring noise.

You can see the statute itself here. Section 3 is the SYG part. Basics of it is if you're in a place you have a right to be outside the home, you can defend yourself with lethal force if you have good reason to believe the situation calls for it; you're not legally required to retreat.

The details released to the public seem to have it pretty clear cut that Zimmerman isn't protected by Florida's SYG law (and thus should be in the process of facing trial), but it's possible there's more to the story than publicly released. Unless more news hits the public, there's not much more that could be said.

FAQ's saying 25 USD for a download, 50+shipping for a box (I.e. CD, some misc. junk, and download access).
