No. The one and only option is fire.

Especially if you've got ones big enough and built right they do that little screaming/boiling insides thing lobsters do. I'unno if spiders do that, but maybe if you set enough of them alight there'll be a cumulative effect that becomes audible or somethin'.

Either way, burning arachnids.

... seriously though, they've got to pop or something under sufficient heat. If you can get different tones, dueling arachnid incineration. Like rednecks, but pyromanic and arachnophobic.

Luminosity. Try it and tell me.
It has gone into the tab horde. We'll see, heh. Seems lengthy, which is a point in its favor.

And yeah Ree, Twilight's one of those things I haven't even attempted to find readable fanfiction for. Bloody thing's either bait for poor slash writers or some freakish permutation of poorly written mary-sue indulgence. M'terrifyingly aware that a good writer can do amazing things even with a mindbogglingly poor starting point, but still...

Zigsprint is pretty neat. Wish I had a better idea how far it went, though. Second attempt only made it to th'15th arena. Ashenzari's a surprisingly good god choice for it, if for no other reason than sucking up death curses.

Didn't even notice they'd slipped another two sprint maps into the game, heh.

Well, if you can get your heavy armor up to a decent level the magic penalty is minimal, no?
No.

Well, it depends on how heavy you're going. Chain/ring isn't terrible, but higher than that (iirc) even very high armor skill doesn't stop your casting chances from tanking. You're not going to cast in crystal plate or GDA unless you're rocking casting boosters, high Int, and probably ridiculous skill levels, ferex, iirc.

Quick wiztest in crystal plate with 15 across the board for skills and 13 int was showing Great up to level four spells, though... maybe it's not as bad as I thought. Little more checking shows bopping it down to 10 makes even level 2 spells poor. 27 armor, though, puts it back to the starting values. So... I'unno. GDA makes things a bit worse. Depends on all the other variables, I guess :P

Someone better with actual number crunching could probably give minimum skill levels points, ha.

But yeah anyway. Wiztest says you could probably just pump strength and shove points into whatever spell schools you feel like you need and probably end up managing to get off low level utility stuff without much trouble. Just take a while, heh.

The Zimmerman thing's came up a couple times in other threads so far, yeah.

Only thing I see odd about your information is the mention of a gun permit, which Florida doesn't have/require. Might be talking about a concealed weapons permit, though.

Re: Potions... depends on how Xommy you feel like being. Iirc, Xom gets happier if you chug un-ID potions in high tension situations -- but, of course, that's incredibly likely to get you killed :P

As for skills, I'unno. Probably melee focus (Fighting, weapon, appropriate defensive skills) until you've got some leeway in survival, then some casting hybridization (providing you either get rid of that magic effecting mutation or something to counteract it, wizardry ring mebbe). A few points into Int (eventually) for low-hanging utility spells couldn't hurt, but that's probably a bit ahead. Really depends on if you're going heavy armor or not; if so, no magic, if not, limited utility junk.

I haven't had much luck with melee characters though, so YMMV, heh.

I'd guess around five years, maybe a bit more. Got it a bit used from a friend, a few years ago. Earliest files I'm seeing in the system directory is from '04 but... near as I can tell, the model was first sold in '07.

Anyway, it's a laptop, thus shittyshitty hardware, especially the video card. Stats all clear the recommended specs on the faq, but...

Game runs fine and spiffy until I actually hit the in-game stuff where you're moving around, et al, at which point there's vicious chug going down. CPU's probably a little weak (~2 ghz) for it, too.

DsCK of Xom, yesh. Then MiIE, because it's surprisingly workable.

I think I'd rather have a prick who isn't racing to disassemble our civil rights, than a suave democratic president who is more than willing to shred our protections for the sake of industry.
... does that first bit describe any of the major runners?

Starcraft, schmarcraft. I still maintain that the first Starship Troopers movie is the only real Warhammer 40,000 movie.
... there's W40k movies outside that fan one that wasn't supposed to be released but was anyway? *checks* Woah, what the hell. There is. Surprising.

Specs too high. Poor computer says "Ahahaha no I'mma' chug wit' dis. Also CPU going to go 100%, hope you can stand heat." Looked interesting up until it hit the actual game world and became nonfunctional, though :P

Gonna' seed it for a while, at least.
