... glasses aren't that bad. I heavily recommend titanium frames, though. Any sort of memory metal, really. Everything else will break.

Or contacts. Contacts are bloody annoying, though. Still, you get to keep your acute peripheral vision with those.

I... I guess it could be worse?

... I'm not entirely sure how, though. Interpretive dance, maybe?

At least they're trying to get the proceedings out to the public... I guess?

Actually looking at the thing (though not listening, not running sound at th'mo), I have to say I find the coloration and construction of the puppets suspicious. Is it coincidence that the puppet on the stand is both of caucasian skin tone and the most human looking?

That... I'unno, that's terrible but hilarious(ly hypocritical). Last I checked (Last year, now) at the very least Buddhism is an atheistic religion (Hell, more than one version of it can be interpreted as hardcore materialism, forget the gods), and I think Confucianism is, too.

He put himself down as muslim (and attacked islamic beliefs), though, which I guess was the (legal) problem or something. Which makes things a little more clear as to the why of what happened. Still immoral as all frak, of course.

Sad thing to me is there's parts of the US that wishes they could do that, too :-\

Obama seems to be unworried.

... also possibly somewhat condescending toward SC voters, heh.

Clockwork powered chainsaw spork.

What do you people think of naturism?
I think it's not the best of decisions to make in certain geographical areas and during certain activities, but am otherwise uncommitted. Haven't exactly had much (if any, really.) interaction with it, either.

I'm rather fond of clothes, though, on a personal level. Pockets are very useful and concealing certain physical tells in relation to muscle movement, etc, make the paranoiac in me happy. Also mosquitoes. And ringworms, and so forth, and so on. Nudity in a swamp isn't the wisest of choices to make, for most people. Bad enough when any skin is uncovered, in my experience :-\

Yeh weren't payin' much attention, friend. Apple's on the list. M$ is on it with a (?), apparently indicating either lack of reaction or contradicting ones, I guess. You'd be better off morally boycotting both and going with linux and third party manufactured hardware.

It's going to suck getting around to that after this computer breaks. Apple's for destroying one of the greatest inventions our species has ever managed to get around to creating and M$ supports outright slavery, so they're both kinda' out of the question now :-\

E: Assuming using linux hasn't been criminalized via ACTA fallout by the time this comp breaks, anyway.

It's raining hard enough the sound is blocking out the noise from the TV noisebox in the other room. Also means it's probably going to get cold for a few days again, soon. Which is nice. Florida's apparently given up on having what passes for its winter this year, so those few days it actually cools off are desperate blessings.

... we've been getting ads and phonecalls and suchlike for about a week now, I think, though only in fairly small amounts. Guess that means the bullshit is going to start to fly hardcore soon, or is starting to now.

Damnit.

Anyway, things should be fairly interesting, as they usually are when dealing with a schizophrenic state. It's a closed primary (If I'm actually remembering the right word for that; us registered dems don't get to vote on things. I just woke up.) though, so I fortunately don't get to actually vote on one of those slime bastids. Means they're probably going to be infecting my state for a bit, though :-\

Haven't noticed any polls, but I've also been doing my damnedest to stick my head in the ground and miss the oncoming shitstorm.

... now I'm actually almost curious. Would people actually buy a crappy AoS knockoff -- or, to be more charitable, a severely limited in scope AoS variant? Though don't mistake me, I still think of DotA-style as a horrific degeneration of the AoS type map, especially its potential. Not that they aren't alright for what they are, but they're like a limbless blind puppy with mange that could have been a giant firebreathing wolf with wings of raw plasma.

I have trouble seeing that many people would be willing to actually buy DotA, LoL, or HoN straight up, though. Free with cash shop, sure, but between the legendarily crappy community (Not that most online game communities aren't that way, but still) and the vicious skill barrier I have trouble seeing 'em selling worth a flip. Cash shop is a lot safer from the profit perspective, methinks.

Just to make sure I'm getting this right, the sane side is also the rainy side, right? That's the side I'm after as far as climate goes. Cold and wet, damnit. I'm tired of hot and wet. I like the wet part, not the other.

So question for folks more on top of this than I: Is there a centralized resource for transcripts of all this tomfoolery? Speeches, debates, attack ads, etc?

I just heard Gingrich implicitly claim responsibility for all the jobs created during his period as speaker, which was like ahahaha wtfd00d because that kind of claim makes the brain totally jump tracks into leetspeech incredulity. Being able to read this stuff at a leisurely pace (read: Having enough time to pick my jaw up off the ground from the sheer effrontery of this bovine excretion and start paying attention again) and without having to deal with what these people actually sound like would be incredibly nice.

Obvious answer: Get rid of marriage! Civil unions for everyone, whee!

Incidentally, that Washington even has 'everything but marriage' and is close to having a majority going all the way just increases my interest in eventually moving there (If I stay in the country, anyway). I'm already drooling over the weather, and now you say the social climate is something approaching sane? Incredible!

Ah, sorry, I was talking 'public' as in 'public park,' not 'open to the public for this event' kind of thing. Yanno', civic centers, town hall, stuff like that. M'well aware a lot of meeting type stuff is held in churches, just surprised that government related events were.

That surprisingly doesn't happen in the county I'm in, even though it's very small, inundated with churches, and about as bible thumping as they come.

Just color me surprised that was even allowed to happen, really. I'd've expected a bigger stink to have been raised about it before now. Separation o'church and state and all that rot. Which I guess is why someone was calling for it, yeah.

26910
... I didn't even know you could vote outside of specifically government owned buildings, actually. Barring mailed in votes and suchlike, of course. Thought it had to be a public use building or something. I could see a church building being converted into one (They tend to be pretty spacious, after all), but an active church doesn't make much sense.

Uh, please, no one tell anyone in north florida about that being a possibility, by th'way. It might reach my own personal slice of hell. Folks around here apparently haven't cottoned on to it yet.
