Dungeon brick is immune untill skeletron is beat.

Definitely not, unless it's the deeper stuff specifically. I've cut the overhanging part of the entrance flat this very version, in a new world.

GoldNightmare and up, so it'll do fine.

And re: EoW... yeah, things get a little silly with that poor guy. Later on (especially with a dao of pow), you'll be able to just hang off something and hold down the mouse. The poor worm'll gib itself slamming into the ball, and you'll take absolutely zero damage :P

Hey, hey. Where does this fit? Puzzle? Strategy? RPG?

... seriously though, OP. Forum poll is not where you go for hard data on game sells. I mean, the statistics methodology behind doing this is just horrific. Too small, not even remotely representative (especially this forum!), absolutely no control over the results or ways to test control for spoof data. Not randomized at all, crazy person! You need to go get marketing numbers on what actually sold. E: Caveat: I have no idea where the hell to actually find that data. Ask your teacher or the nearest marketing major.

Breaking down by digital and physical would be a good idea. Adding a portion on second-hand sales (Resale, etc.) would be ideal.

E: The other problem with forum polls, is you get responses like this one.

E2: Actually, this could be for a psych/sociology essay instead of actually having to do anything with the actual topic. Checking the responses instead of the actual poll data. S'been known to happen.

Aloi, there is a disturbing lack of cursed torches in that house picture.

I'll have to remember to log in in the next day or two and fix that :P

Obvious answer: Megashark? Dump the cloak for a ranger emblem.

If damage is the issue and you're fine on defense, respec for damage (+20% if you reforge all your accs for the right prefix). Go adamant repeater and cursed/hellfire arrows + archery potion, maybe. Don't forget the soup, and possibly ale if you don't mind the def loss.

Heeey. Speaking of grenades, are mines still around? I loved putting mines in hilariously awkward-to-find places that folks just happened to walk over regularly :P

General Discussion / Re: Occupying Wallstreet
« on: December 13, 2011, 10:19:30 am »
Actually, truean, it's all false : one can support an industry working exclusively for the wealthy, and giving it's worker barely enough to survive.
I believe you may experience it first hand in say, twenty years. This is why occupy is important : to remind the banker, traders, heirs and other businessmen that the street have it's world to say, and that we won't let their system happen.

Except not. Unless by 'support' you mean 'support in the very short term' and probably being capped off with a violent revolution or at the very least mass murder of the workers (leading to industrial collapse, because hey, no longer enough workers.). E: Murder either directly or via deprivation, mind. This is especially an issue nowadays, because there's so g'damn many people. That shit could fly centuries ago, and almost fly decades back, but it doesn't bloody work with a global population of over 7 billion. It's not frakking sustainable. Which isn't something the 1% particularly seem to notice.  E: Or care about, anyway.

Don't forget the soup and a crystal ball stopover :P

Happened, happens, is probably happening. From what I've kinda' half-arse picked up, that sort of thing is -- if not exactly common -- at least practiced in some areas. Doesn't happen to just women, of course. Execution for sorcery crosses gender boundries ::)

E: Unless it was the assault. Stuff like that's happened around where I'm at, too (Though to homosexuals primarily, no transgendered folk. The latter stay the bloody fuck away from the area I live in, out of safety concerns. One day, money, moving, never coming back. Or the snapping and the fire, either way.) Part of me's always going to be saddened/fucking pissed with myself I haven't done more to mitigate that shit, but the majority of me didn't want my legs broken and ribs forcibly shifted around. Or shot.

So mark the nearest one to your home with torches and a "do not smash" sign, then go wreck the rest of them. Got'cha.

Pointing toward appropriate software would be nice :P

Can't play tonight, but definitely later in the week (like, when the sun comes up, ha.). I'd be down for just about anything, but the old fire for AoS and hero def. (Enfos!) has definitely been sparked a bit by an initial rummage through hive workshop's top rated stuff.

Anyway, Deon~ There some version mismatch or something with the stuff you linked? Some of it works with (what I'm guessing is) the latest patch (126a), but some of it doesn't.

I vaguely remember one of the latest patches (oh-so-late in WC3's life) basically fragged compatibility with maps built before hand (90+% of them, probably :-\). Is that's what's going on?

... so, uh. Does anyone know if smashing multiple triple sets of demon altars actually increases the amount of funmode ores you get? I only smashed two sets (six total altars) in m'small world, but stuff was still pretty plentiful.

It'd be definite on the twins -- the only one of those with high enough defense to cut shard damage (on a basic, no dam-mod from prefix or armor, clockwork AR) is maybe spaz in its second form. Shards do 60% damage of the main shot, so it'd have to do (35/2, so go with 18, just to be safe) damage. If I'm doing things right that'd mean a base shot damage of 31 or 32, with clockwork AR being 19+9 (28) with crystal shot. Just need three/four more damage to have the shards outdo the cursed bullet's higher damage.

In practice, though, if it doesn't pierce, it's going to have trouble against the destroyer unless the damage is ridiculous (Read: Megashark. Repeaters fire too slow.).

Crystal bullets are still going to outdamage cursed, unless the cursed bullets debuff effects the boss (fairly sure it doesn't). Cursed only does 4 more damage for the base bullet -- if the crystal shards do even two damage, so long as every shard hits, the total damage will be higher (2x3=6, vs 4. Every point over two increases the disparity by 3). It'd almost certainly do better with a megashark. Lemme go run the numbers a bit on th'clockwork AR. E: Basic AR looks like it might not be able to get to the 2 damage line for shards, at least sans-damage modifiers. With... probably. Probably.

What might be interesting, though, is an open air arena and holy arrows, on a repeater. Has anyone tried this? Looking at the wiki information, it looks like the stars it spawns would do a good job of hilariraping the destroyer, actually.

Yeah... troll island tribes (or island troll, I guess. I seem to remember the former, oddly. And something about a gryphon? The maker, maybe?) tended to attract fairly laid back folks, at least when I was last playing. So long as you'd admit you had no idea what the bloody hell you were doing and pulled yer head out yer ass and listened to what folks were (politely, usually) telling you, the hostility was pretty limited. Stuff wasn't too hard to pick up, really.

Might have just got lucky, I'unno. My first few forays into the map was helped along by both my team and enemies, and I helped spread the love later on. Back then, though, the biggest issue was usually talking new folks (and th'experienced players) into sticking around long enough to let the bloody download finish, heh. Dial-up was still pretty common.
