Yes. Yes, nature sense lets you see through fog and trees. It's one of the reasons that rangers really want to take a couple levels of druid (probably as their fourth and fifth levels, at least), in order to get nature sense and obscuration. Moving fog bank, yo'. While all rangers like this, ranged rangers find this absolutely hilarious, especially if they're riding a flying mount (makes stuff like tremorsense not detect 'em, among other things).

"This fog bank bristles with bolts of iron."

The only penalty to multiclass is if your highest level class isn't a favored one for your race, in which case you get a 20% XP penalty. If you're a 6th level warrior, the highest druid level you can get is 5, so you're good.

The biggest issue you'd have multi-ing into druid is that they get a (hefty) casting penalty when wearing metal items. There's a further casting penalty (extra time, particularly) if you cast while riding without a balance score of >= 20. If you're just after the boost to your companion, go ranger, who gets the same animal companion progression without the casting penalty. Better melee BAB progress, too.

That said, if you've got ironwood equipment already, go for it. Druid spellcasting is pretty solid.

That just means you're not a yeek. Yeeks can't get on yeekisland, even if they save the wayist.

I've definitely seen Z kill the wayist within a turn of me opening the door, though. A crit flurry with the wrong (or right, from Z's point of view) daggers can just demolish the wayist... or you, if you're unlucky. Z's pretty nasty.

The bright side there is that the staff combat tree runs off generics, while bombs and golems run off class points. You don't really have to choose between them :P

Anyway, 5/5 mastery/channel hits pretty ruddy hard with a high-end staff, especially once your magic gets up there. It's definitely something useful to do while throw bomb is on cooldown.

Higher levels of imbue item let you imbue higher tier gems. You need 5/5 to imbue stuff like pearls or diamonds, and most of the artifact gems (Particularly the lifebinding gem and wozzname's rock).

Ah. For that, a halberd or light lance would probably be the better idea. The halberd hits harder against everything, and the lance hits harder against stuff-large-or-bigger, as well as having a 1/3 chance to knock something prone. The lance is also medium size, instead of large, so it can be worn more easily (i.e. without feat expenditure for medium-sized races) with a shield. Short spear is a bit faster, though. Trident would be better for that, though, unless you're going for a crit-heavy build. Shortspear's definitely in the top two/three of non-reach charge weapons, though, depending on what you're after.

"Giant plant lady. Waves hand, from which springs forth rainbow, which accelerates rapidly into the sky. As speed grows greater, the front of multiclored beam turns black. Yet greater, there appears stars and galaxies within most forward part of the beam. Finally, a core of burning fire erupts within the formost front of the stars, wide, with a wake coming to a point behind it. Cut backwards a bit. Blue sky, with this tearing its way across it. The beam still grows faster, and around it is a cylindrical disturbance of the air. The beam spins, drill-like, and tears its way between universes.

It erupts again from a point. Now, the sky is reddish-orange. The beam is of such size that it is covering most of the sky. There is an island, huge, as vertical as it is horizontal, coming to a spiraling point. It is vibrant with plantlife and other things. The beam approachs the island, screaming through the sky. Just as it is to impact, the beam splits! One side turns into crows of purest black, the other side into crows of purest white. These avians decend on the island as though a blanket.

The crows immediately cover the land, devouring all the many seeds and nuts which were before laying on the ground. Cut to a small green thing, looking for all intents and purposees like a tonberry. It is the immortal king of its people, who have scattered amongst the land and become little more than animals. It speaks, and from it we learn that with this act of consumption, magic returns to the land. The crows of light and shadow will catalyize the nuts, which had previously held the entirety of that world's magic in check, within them, and from that process magic rises again. The immortal king sets out to see the creatures of the land that had remained of sound mind, and the vision ends."

That was a good dream. It had awesome music, too. Very upbeat.

Then I had the one where a transvestite (Post op female->male, but with breasts) was lighting a cigarette held in the head of her cock, and then proceeded to smoke it. She did not have to bend her neck, at all. That's all I remember of that dream. It's probably a good thing.

It's a charging weapon... definitely not the best, though. The best, mechanically, is the great lance (which is an exotic weapon), and in more general use the charge weapons that have reach (longspear, glaive, etc) are probably more useful, if only to prevent AoOs on approach. Check here for the weapon table -- anything with a C to the right gets doubled damage on a charge.

Yeah... I usually only put a single point into teleport, for classes that has access, then pick up some alternate sources of it. One, maybe two, points tend to do the job.

It wasn't wearing the hat that was the issue, but how it was being worn (at least in Sowelu's example) -- over the eyes, intentionally breaking eye contact, i.e. focus on the lesson. That is disrespectful and tends to have negative impact on the student's retention of the lesson to boot. The banning of the hats was simply because it's easier to enforce that than eye contact/attention.

That, at least, is a valid reason for the restriction. Not the best of reasons (ideally, lack of attention wouldn't be an issue), but it's not a bad one.

Damage to a weapon is based on how much damage you do with the weapon -- since charging increases this, it naturally causes the weapon to break sooner. If you're having trouble with it, pick up an orcish weapon. They're much more resistant to breaking from physical damage. Iirc, they're actually immune, but it's been a while since I used charging for much.

Anyways, isn't schooling only compulsory until the 9th grade?
In the US -- Florida, at least -- parents are legally required to, and can face legal consequences for failing to, provide schooling for children until they're 16 years of age -- I just checked with a teacher who deals specifically with drop-out and similar situation students :P

There's some caveats to this -- a sufficiently academically capable person can get out of this requirement early, generally by getting into college, and it can vary a bit from state to state -- but the federal level says 16 and there's certain problems for kids that stop going to school before graduating or getting a GED-equivalent (Big one -- a person who's under 18 and not in school or possessing a GED or equivalent, cannot, as a federal law, get a driver's license).

The parent's legal responsibility (Again, in Florida, at least. The age at which parents can be held culpable can vary between states.) ends at 16, at least for schooling.

Not bad at all. Just remember ride takes the lower of dex and wis as its stat dependency :P

I forget how (if) bonus feat granted animal companion interacts with class granted animal companion, though. If it gave some extra CR, that would be flipping awesome. With full ranger/druid levels and animal bond, even base CR <1 companions can wreck stuff like young adult dragons. They get nasty, heh.

I hate it when people say stuff along the lines "it's not required, and thus ok, because you have <insert completely unreasonable alternative here>".
Well, the reasonable alternative in this case is to just not get involved in school sponsored extracurriculars. Should have been clear on that point.

As said in the first post, parents can also sign a paper voluntarily to for you to be forced to take random drug tests and the school can then inflict whatever punishment they see fit. It's not just when joining clubs, although it is required to join the clubs, as well.
The larger issue, as noted here, seems to be parental oversight, for which removal really is the only choice, either by emancipation or adoption. You can't really legally force parents to treat their children in ways beyond certain basics (no abuse, etc), in the current system. There's not really anything in place to ensure that parents are good at what they do beyond those basics, for which stuff like privacy (beyond the point of preventing sexual abuse) doesn't enter into the equation. A parent requiring a child to take a drug test and consenting for the school to handle the repercussions involved is well within their rights as a guardian of a dependent.

It's even fairly reasonable from a moral standpoint. If someone is providing necessities for you, such as room and board, and you don't have some sort of arrangement for those services (job contract, equitable labor, etc), then it's fitting they can put certain restrictions on your actions.

If you're saying that those underage should have better recourse for finding employment and making it so they're self-sufficient, and thus able to separate themselves from the guardian/dependant relationship, that's something that sounds fair. The drug testing scenario given isn't outside the rights of a parent, though.

I... wait. How is parental oversight injust, again? That's what's going on, right? School has the parent sign a form saying their kid has to take a drug test to do extracurricular activities, correct? This scenario would have to be seriously stretched to become an issue of justice. Further, it's not an issue of privacy if there's a consent form involved. If they were coming to your house and forcing you to do it without any warning, that'd be an issue of privacy. Not what's being described.

The standard response is, if you don't want parental oversight, get out of the house. Sure, most kids under age are basically fucked if they do that, but that's their choice, is it not?
