All the worms are immune to magma. Even the little ones.

Yeaaah... I'm relatively quite-entirely sure you can have folks move into corrupted areas, now. You do have to knock down ebonstone backwall, though. Dunno about the need or lack thereof to build from something besides ebonstone for the walls. I may have just been impatient.

Spoiler: Bloody good proof (click to show/hide)
Yup. Bottom of a corruption chasm.

I've had the guide move into a small room on top of a decent sized (large enough to spawn eaters, at least) ebonstone tower, so I'd guess probably. Even had an ebonstone floor, though the other three sides were made of wood.

Would have to test to see if th'same would go for the natural corruption area, though. I'm still guessing yes, and now have a vague urge to go turn a corruption chasm into a little town/tower.

There is, actually, an old game called War of the Lance, based on Dragonlance. It apparently was the precursor to Sword of Aragon, which is pretty bloody awesome for what it is and when it was made. I've never played WotL myself, but even if it's a less polished ancestor to SoA, it should be at least interesting.

Depends on if the dungeon's over there or not, if you count that as far-enough right. Otherwise, it's the same as what's on the far left. Water and a decline.

Anyway. Pretty much anything not-musket is better than the minishark, really. Well, maybe not the flintlock, but definitely the laser. Even with the high RoF, the damage is just crappy on the 'shark. Handgun + autoclick is far and away better, and 'nix blaster just embarrasses the 50 gold ripoff.

But it can be upgraded to the starcannon, which, if you can provide ammo, just murders everything, or so I hear.

I'd still prefer a flamarang to pretty much any of them, though. No extra inventory slots used up :-\ It murders everything just fine, anyway.

Needs more detail work (dungeon brick! Overalls! You have access to more colors!), but A++ thumbs up for being the first one on B12 to demonstrate this achievement.

Now then. Tanuki suit!

Dungeon brick specifically is immune to explosions. The metal and stone bricks aren't. I'm not sure about hellstone and obsidian brick in the latest patch, nor did I test it in the last ones, so that could go either way.

Nope. It does work on the back wall, though.

Mmhmmhmmhmmhee. That's even exponential number increase. Just bring along a few (dozen) chests, add a few more stacks each time, until you're eventually getting full inventories of the (item in question) copied every reload cycle. Do this with a server, and you can get up to 8x that per round of it, depending on how many people you can get to go in with you.

I can only imagine that'd make it somewhat trivial (at least in terms of material requirements) to turn an entire world into <material of choice>. Which would be terribly interesting.

But yeah. The legit process of tearing down a dungeon is... terribly time consuming. Going mostly-solo, it took pretty much an entire day cycle to tear down just the above-surface part of a dungeon with a molten pick. The whole thing... yikes. I mean, there'd be enough blocks in just-one of the things to build whatever the blazes you felt like, but the time it'd take to do so...

May I suggest placing the chair ON the table?
I am shamed for not even thinking of trying that.

Can't be done. Just checked. Am sad.

Starcannon with 50+ shots? That'd be sufficient overkill, methinks, though the initial gathering would probably be a bit tedious. We probably need to just get together on a clean small map, 5-6 folks, and pave out a quick starcatcher road, then post it somewhere so other folks can use it for star gathering.

  • Can torches be replaced by other light sources, namely by water candles and those dungeon lanterns
.

You can definitely use chain lanterns, but I'm not sure about water candles. If you're going for ambient lighting, I'd probably say roll with hellstone or hellstone brick (or raw meteorite, I guess), rather than lava, since both are considerably easier to work with.

I'm also unsure if you need actual light sources or simply sufficient lighting. Obviously raw sunlight won't work, so merely sufficient lighting might not be enough, unless it's actually from a producing source instead of all over like the sun.

Easiest way to test it would probably be to build a room inside a natural lava pit, which wouldn't take terribly much effort. If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll give it a check tomorrow :P

Innit there those set-art, or something along those lines, javs that turn into lightning or whatever when thrown? Those would beam and hit like a truck. Sounds like you ran into a merfolk totin' them.

Nah, they'll be visible from the confines of the chasm, though apparently not always at the very bottom. Definitely fairly possible for a chasm to be orbless, though, so it seems you got RNG shafted.

E: Loose stone total came up to just shy of 2k, around 1.9k. As long as it's not hamachi, I can show up where'er :P

1k?  I have an entire chest full of stone blocks.  Multiplayer is pretty iffy for me though.

I tend to just randomly toss out the stone I collect, whenever I have a 250 stack. I build primarily out of gold and hellstone brick, so stone's only really useful as a convenient temp-building material, like dirt or (not-farm-use) mud.

Is there a way to summon more meteors if you run out of Shadow Orbs?  Because I think I've broken all (three) of mine.  I've reached the bottom of every shaft and I don't see any more.  I feel pretty robbed because one hit a sky bridge and the other hit a tiny pinnacle in the Corruption, so I basically got about 40 bars of Meteorite out of the whole thing.

There's a terribly small chance one will fall randomly. You're a lot more likely to get somewhere by genning up small worlds specifically for orb-smash/meteor-summoning runs. Or letting corruption spread. I'm not sure yet if that creates new chasms or not.
