... what do you consider to be a good amount? I'm sitting on at least three four worlds of varying development, all but one of which were at some point someone else's MP world, and there's varying amounts of building material left laying around in all of them. I think I could drum up 2k or so fairly easily with a trip around th'places. Definitely 1k.

Sunfury would be molten, yes. Masamune, etc, probably are right at cobalt level, too. The jungle and dungeon equipment are fairly equi-powerful. Which would mean shadow and meteorite armor as the armor cap, and anything made out of meteorite and demonite/shadow scale the weapon cap.

Which would leave me up the creek. I don't have anything weaker than that on my character :-\

Or any of th'worlds I've got sitting around, really. Sunfury is too pretty to keep around non-shiny ball o'hurt and insufficiently shiny blue moon, once shiny-shiny sunfury is procured. Silly not-vibrantly-glowing weapons.

I guess I'd have a axe of the night still laying arou... no, no, ditched that for the molten hamaxe. Bleh.

Mm... any idea if the sticky formula applies to grenades and TNT or not? I haven't tried those yet, but was terribly disappointed when a sticky bomb didn't latch on to skeletron's head. Only blocks, apparently :-\

Then pink, of course. Pink and purple, the most manly of colors. Fitting for a death match spewing bits of pink and purple innards all over the place.

Hellstone and obsidian bricks, obviously.

In other news
I call it 'flail fishing'.

And another goblin army down. Still no boots :-\

Yah... if you're really after shroom seeds, build yerself an industrial strength shroom farm, several screens in size. M'big one nets a few hundred shrooms at full capacity and usually produces somewhere in the 5-15 seed range. The seeds do appear to be pretty ruddy rare, though.

I think an eventual project will be to convert th'majority of a small world's underground into a shroom farm. Potions, potions, everywhere~

quick edit: Actually, do the shroom farm, bust all the orbs to get the meteors to drop, and then make a sky road for star catching. Turn the world into a resto-pot factory. Hrm...

Whatever's available, heh. I've played on AC's the most, so far.

In a sharing mood, I present this little(ish) thing: Junglehome One, plus a little, done in classic patched-together-screenshot fashion. JHO was the jungle base in Acperience's server, a couple maps back, with a little extra work done to it since I've been using it as a main SP world. I love building in the jungle, yeah.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The obsidian house was AC's, th'gold one mine. The most of the smaller ones were/are NPC rooms, and the larger two were ones folks were hollowing out to make their own lil'houses from, before maps were switched.

The platforms in the upper left lead off toward the top straight tunnel and a surface route, as well as the mushroom farm I put up some pics of earlier. The door over the lava is the end-point of the more... fun route to get to JHO from the waystation. Of the two platform/tunnels going off the bottom of the main building, the left one leads to hell and the right out into the jungle. The other top exits leads mostly to the jungle, though the furthest right is very close to what looked like someone's hellflooding project before I co-opted it to make obsidian. You can see some of the water in the very far right, heh.

Here's the world viewer pic. I just noticed one of the floating islands got hit by a meteor. Gonna' have to check that out soon-ish :P

Mm... that's a tough one. It's a lot easier to purify large swaths of land than to corrupt it, and corruption's rather easy to prevent from spreading. Maybe forbid actual purification powder... and anything but dirt blocks, heh.

With underground allowed, I could see interesting things happen with regrowth staves and corruption seeds :P

Mmhmhmhm... PvP idea of th'day. Simple setup, even. Only requires a new world, or at least an unspoiled dungeon. I call it the Light War. Two teams of any number crack open the dungeon and then run through wildly stripping light sources. This lasts either until one team is all dead or for a certain amount of time. Afterward, the teams tally up the hanging lights and water candles in their inventories, with candles counting double, and the team with the highest count wins. Presumably, they get to have whatever lights the losing team has, as well, or rights to the dungeon loot, or whatever.

Equipment restrictions are whatever folks agree to. It doesn't even strictly have to be PvP; the light war would work just as well as a simple race.

Anyway, water candles are awesome. I'm going to be lighting a building with them at some point in the future. Game needs more off-color light sources.

E: I just realized this would cause Morrowind flashbacks for some people :P

Bleh, two things learned just now. One: Sufficient ebonstone allows for devourers to spawn, too, not just eaters. Two: Purifying a world of corruption is a much bigger project that it first seems. Why, precisely?
Spoiler: This. (click to show/hide)

The spread corrupts underground cavern pockets. Which means you could clean the entire surface of corruption, and still have sizable amounts of it lurking just under the ground.

On the bright side, cleaning the surface isn't very difficult. Purification powder cleans up decent sized swaths of corruption. I only needed 2 ~1/2 99 stacks to clear about 3-4 widescreen-mod screens.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Try hell in a multiplayer game.

4+ imps on the screen, basically always, and bone serpents teleport~

Singleplayer hell is a cakewalk, though. After all my initial encounters with hell being in MP, going and hellmining in SP was simply serene. So little trouble. So few imps. No bone serpents lagaporting into your face as the first moment you see them. Peace.

Or, yanno', 3+ other flamarangs. I keep meaning to go get together the makings of another few flamarangs to see how ridiculous it'd be. Set AHK going and run the fingers back and forth across the hotkeys, point the mouse at whatever I feel like making die. I can only imagine it'd be just plain silly.

E: Ninja!

I do prefer the sunfury for most of my weapon needs, barring grass cutting. I've one-shot fireimps with the thing before, which is just delightful. Barring the 'nix and starcannon aberrations, the flails are just the highest damage weapons in their general item tier, once you get used to aiming them. Barring the harpoon. It just kinda' sucks, from what I remember. No pierce, more like a boomerang on a string.

My friend is getting the 4-pack, except he's kind of too stupid to figure out how to give me a copy. This is our first time using Steam, so I don't know much either. What do we do? :-\

Open up steam, go to the games menu, then Manage Gifts and Guest Passes. Th'rest should be fairly straightforward.
