It attracts banhammers, though. So, y'know. Trade offs.

Corruption 8, first try. Team was... cleric, bard, druid, into bloodmage, then fallen... i.e. all healer, all the time, or at least as close as I could get to it. First act, well. First act almost killed me. Beat it with three morale left.

Second act? Second act I just flat flawlessed. Flawlessed the whole act, straight.

... third was a bit more mixed, usually losing one guy per fight with some flat losses along the way (bloody conduits), but ultimately. Ultimately, I won the run, with a mono healer spec'd party.

It probably shouldn't have worked, and the cleric coming in as MVP dps in the final boss fight was a little silly (its passive, plus symbiote+mana regen items and one that gives major blessings on active use resulting in like 200+ attack with capped out speed and mana reduction by the end of the fight), but... it did. It did work, ha.

Oh, yeah, the bugs are definitely back in town in florida. LB's in Venezuela, though, iirc. Lot closer to the equator, so it's fairly possible the bugs just never take a break.

Now the real question: why didn’t Trump dish out the dirt on China if the US had intelligence suggested it was highly probable that it came from their labs?
His administration tried, it was just less credible than the existence of a tortiseshell cat's nutsack. Problem with lying all the goddamn time about everything is that most people are actually capable of pattern recognition and start to disbelieve what you say. Additionally, folks with access to the background information later came in and said (like basically everything else that came out of the administration) the framing coming out of trump's lot was more spun horseshit than not. Official stance on the subject still appears to be "we still don't have sufficient information to rule out a lab origination entirely, but that's all we can actually say".

Any case, I'd recommend giving that wapo opinion article exactly as much weight as a china hawk opinion columnist deserves on the subject, i.e. roughly zero :P

thanks guy, you are very helpful.

one more question, is it intended that its more expensive to repair degradation then to buy a ship without degradations? this seems a bit counter intuitive.
For what it's worth, this isn't unknown or uncommon in real life, especially with certain things. Sometimes, due to various issues with parts availability or labor costs or whatever, it can be cheaper to just buy a replacement than to fix up what you have (especially with labor or lost time costs factored in). It's apparently fairly normal for microwaves or any number of electronics to be more expensive to repair than replace.

I could see it making sense for spaceships in particular, tbh. Cheaper to build where the infrastructure is and fly the thing to distant markets than build the repair capability local, or somethin'.

e: also d-mods are suppposed to be serious damage, iirc. We're not talking fender bender equivalent, more like a car frame bent into a figure eight. Normal repair facilities probably wouldn't cut it, you're talking major (and expensive) refit juju.

Second year of a four year, yeah. From what I saw you tend to get your worst roomies in that first year, with the biggest problems dropped out or found/forced to find somewhere else to live by the second. If you're past that point it's a lot more likely to be okay (or for you to be able to trade places with some other room's trouble residents, eventually ending up with one room of chill folks just trying to get by).

Oh come on, I can't just not weigh in. Not after I brought it up.

Besides, how would scooby-doo hold a lightsaber? These are the important intellectual questions of our time.
Just levitation, probably, or just not be a stabby space wizard. There's armless jedi, iirc.

Alternatively, he lost an arm at some point and has a cybernetic or two with opposable thumbs. Sorta' like a furry general grievous with an eating condition, accompanied by his stormtrooper clone deserter buddy with a drug habit. It'd fit right in with the books, I think.

Hey, look on the bright side, either it'll be fine or you'll have stories of terrible roomates to reminisce about with people in the future! Win-(Lose/Win)!

You're at least not in freshman year, right?

... right?

Scoob would be the force sensitive, probably, not shaggy. Shaggy would just be a remarkably stoned stormtrooper clone.

So... there was an update! Adding... steam workshop integration? For, uh. Half-assed cosmetic modding and I guess amateur localization patches. Yeah. That's a thing now, apparently.

Modloader still hasn't updated to 1.4, so, y'know. My enthusiasm isn't. But hey! A thing happened.

But we do know the number that actually does it and gets counted is somewhere in the range of below three digits across the entire country, far as I'm aware. Individual voter fraud, especially from folks that are under the constant threat of abuse and exile when interacting with government organizations, isn't a meaningful problem stateside.

Near as I can recall, it hasn't been one in a long, long time, either, if ever. The conservative horseshit about immigrants, undocumented or otherwise, stealing elections in that way is just that, horseshit.

Yeah, MoR and the lesswrong stuff is/was kind of a raging tire fire from what I noticed. Community definitely didn't live up to the conceit, at least, and got stuck in with some pretty rancid shit, though I forget details at the moment. Been years since I registered that mess as anything other than "avoid" in my mind.

I think I read most of the fic at some point, at least, but never actually finished... interesting enough concept but the execution just got progressively worse, iirc. It's been a while and I don't expect to reread it, heh.

Occasionally run into "rational" fics of one sort or another, but I honestly can't recall any really standing out as particularly notable, right now. Folks certainly try and it's not an outright deal killer of a proposition, in any case. I'll give the stuff a shot, if not actively seek it out.

E: ... anyway, TMNT thing has been read. Was neat... ish? Weird in places, like the part raph just straight up shot a dude in the head, or the part where donnie turned around and revived said dude while, uh, reprogramming their brain to be a good cyborg catboy instead of an evil one so they could collaborate to nuke an oncoming world killer asteroid. It, um. Was a thing.

Definite upside, though, raph totally did punch hitler right in the face, so hey. also hitler's brain (just the brain, in a jar, with robot limbs) was running around trying to kill people but. look, it was odd, alright. Just take your mutant turtles punching nazis and be happy with that.

Also raph's girlfriend or whatever apparently wasn't the major TMNT fox chick, but a... different one? Really similar character design, but not the same one, it seems. Eh.

I mean, US is case study in how successful people are at that negotiating your worth thing when you're on your own.

Not, by the way. They're not. Remarkably shit at negotiating with people that can cheerfully tell them to fuck off and hire the scab waiting around the corner. Solidarity or shafted is your two states at the end of the day, really.

It's the good ol' "worst thing other than everything else" deal, basically.

The latter part's horseshit, sure. The former's just... not, is all. Even the cutting it into smaller bits part. I literally have family that does that a lot, due to, y'know, alzheimer's, so the shade being thrown there hits close to home.
