I mean... it is/was the prequel to Shadowrun, which has a good handful of video games, so... maybe something like those? With some exceptions they've been pretty well received over the years.

I saw that picture and wtf’d also. Even before I got comfortable with chopsticks, I just used my pinchers to eat the mafa’s.
Eh... seeing it, it doesn't seem much odder than eating pizza with knife+fork, or forking chicken nuggets or fish sticks or whatev'. Living where I am, I've learned you just gotta' let folks eat how they're comfortable eating. If that means unusual utensils for a particular meal, then... whatever. It's largely harmless and the familiarity is pretty damn important for some people, y'know?

Yeah, some sort of ubiquitous ID would be less of a concern if the GOP/american conservatism in general could kindly stop existing or somethin', but until that happens at a minimum, you can just kinda' assume any attempt to implement something along those lines is bad faith... 'cause it's consistently been bad faith attempts at voter suppression pretty much the entirety of US history and very much continues to be so in the present.

Current more or less ubiquitous measures regarding voting eligibility largely work just fine as is, and generally could stand to be loosened rather than tightened. We just flat don't have a meaningful degree of that sort of voter fraud, whereas we do have substantial issues with voter suppression and disenfranchisement, pretty much all of it put in place or defended by the current GOP or its predecessors.

more of one, really

or more of a woman, or... whatever. it's a general thing more than gender expression specific

long term suppression like that mostly just makes you worse off, regardless of what you are

Eyup. Most folks I've interacted with enough for the subject to come up at some point has those occasionally.

Confirmation: When dream brain does giant robot design, it makes them thicc, as is right and proper. Skinny mech fuck off, our bots got dem thighs.

Shame alarm went off as perspective character was spiking some kind of spartan zaku with like blade sholders into the side of a skyscraper. You know that thing where the hand envelopes the face and then one-hand shoves them backwards into something, basically bending them into a r shape? That, with giant robots, after a shoulder charge and some maneuvering to get the thing off an ally mech. It was beautifully choreographed ;_;

That’s why I don’t even like cruise control, it is horrible not feeling as though I’m in control of the car.
You're never in control of the car, just (somewhat) in control of the steering and praying the rest of it doesn't fuck up. I guess the illusion feels better to some folks...

Cruise control is both love and life, though. One less thing to need* to pay as much attention to most of the time, and nicer ones these days have decent controls right on the steering wheel.

* People tell me they can feel how fast they're going, but I've rode with those people over the course of my life and every one of them were damn dirty liars that didn't actually know how fast they were going, they were just winging it and/or going by the people around them, so they'd end up going 5-10 or worse faster than they thought they were.

Humans are goddamn terrible drivers, trust the machine before you trust the brainmeat.

Yeah, those are just thermal blankets or whatever they are. Never used one myself, but they're supposed to be pretty damn good as general utility blankets go.

If you're talking about the blankets, anyway. The plastic sheet things are just... plastic sheet things. Covid measures is probably an accurate statement, pretty sure I've seen the things used in temporary medical holding areas and whatnot, too.

'Course, something other than a cot on the floor (though ngl, those cots are probably an improvement over what I sleep on, ha) is probably warranted, but the US is still the US, et al. It's probably an improvement over whatever shit was being doled out previously, for what staggeringly little that's worth.

... has nothing to do with terraria, though. Not glass, so it's not even a terrarium. Eh.

Setting yourself on fire makes everything glow and your world scream.

Don't try that at home, yo'.

E: In other news, someone has apparently accidentally'd the suez with a container ship. Whoops.

The cheat ui thing lets you fiddle with a fair amount, iirc, yeah.

Man, I know that feeling. Fairly significantly doubt it'll ever change, too, as I'm pretty sure it won't unless I actually manage to achieve physical/fiscal security and, just. I don't see that happening.

Totally have an answer to the prompt, though: Whatever would guarantee food/shelter/health for the rest of my life. Not having to worry about homelessness, starvation, or persistent medical malaise would be amazing. That'd be empowering as fuck.

Don't get that when you're poverty line in the US and approaching disabled, though. Mostly you're just kinda' fucked.

I mean, there are, but you'll notice from that list you just rattled off they're all more interesting on the ground level than age of empires :P

Y'know, one thing I've noticed about eagles is they tend to look like colossal assholes. They got the facial structure of a dedicated jerkbird. You'd probably have better company from a vulture.

The commandos line apparently has at least one character with a knockout syringe? And is in the right time frame. It's definitely my go-to thought for top-down tactical war game with shenanigans... even if I've never actually played it or watched gameplay footage, heh.

2865
... but. Why? Why in the world did they make a dungeon keeper possession mod looking thing for AoE2? It's impressive, I guess, I just... don't understand.
