time has no meaning with agreed upon zoom calls

depends on schedules and desires of those involved; the only too late is if someone involved wants earlier

If you're wondering if it's late enough to start adopting cultural signals of being an attempt at a long distance booty call, though, hell if I know. That mess varies by region and culture.

How do you see the TV through all that underground water, though?

e: actually, the real question is why am I associating once in a lifetime with (southern culture on skids) camel walk, because apparently I do and it's at least a little odd

... wait, people actually have trouble dodging the ~porno grind~ critters shots? Usually you just go up or down or duck behind something solid, though? The explosives or the bots have been what killed me in that region, iirc. The guns are mostly pretty predictable...

Ehh, furries are usually a pretty distinct group from zoophiles, from what I've noticed. There's overlap, sure, but they're definitely not one and the same or drawing even close to 1:1 from the same subgroups.

Being down with banging Lion-o is a fair distance from being down with banging a lion (well, more realistically something like a dog or horse or whatever).

Shit, if it works it works. There ain't much worse that could happen to brass players than major/lingering respiratory damage.

I think gravekeeper has been decently improved on the grind front by eventual DLCs, for what it's worth? Was some automation additions or somethin' like that. Watching a bit of a playthrough didn't look that bad...

Winter turning to spring is definitely improving things. The fuck anyone can be happy when they're freezing 24/8 and they saw daylight for 30 mins before it disappeared is madness to me.
Different places get different winters. Down here it's the only time of year the bugs stop trying to exsanguinate you, the air isn't attempting to broil you as you swim through it, and the sun isn't glaring through your window at five in the morning. Winter is the only good season in florida. The rest of them are variations of misery :P

The biggest thing I take away from that is this:

Quote
The group’s bankruptcy rate — 18 percent — was nearly twice as high as that of the American public

That means that 10% of the population as a whole has declared bankruptcy?  That's insane.
I don't know if you've noticed the US population has occasional problems with debt, but, uh. It does!

Hard to find a quick and easy number on how much of the US population has bankrupted, though. Yearly rates are easy, but portion of the total population, not so much. Overlap and repeats make it hard to translate one into the other.

e: Though trump literally did/does have financial troubles, for what it's worth. It's just that daddy's money means that doesn't have the same sort of impact it does for most of the country.

Yeah, something about retaliation for killing a US contractor and wounding another, or something like that? I've heard folks more familiar with this sort of horseshit say it was probably the most restrained response we could expect.

Not as part of the same quote, no, at least that I'm aware.

Mostly because it's impossible to butcher up quotations like that with good intentions, I think. It's either malice or wild incompetence, with not much space for a third option :-\

... damnit, this discussion has me vaguely remembering something I can't remember from where, like some sort of stand up comedy equivalent of a lyric snippet or somethin'.

Dat's the hooch talkin', you done gone blind!

This is going to bother me, now :-\

My WTF is the public acceptance of the elimination of physical media. Yeah it's convenient... until the provider of the data you want just refuses to give it to you
At which point you just yar-har-fiddly-dee, from what I see, if you actually care about it. There's been precious few points to date where "provider wanting to refuse to give it to you" and "provider being able to refuse to give it to you" actually overlap :P

Though having some experience these days working with physical media in a public setting... probably half the secret to that acceptance is that no one's ever really gave much of a shit about what happens to most of the stuff stored on physical media. What's actually gave a damn about gets stored on more durable junk and occasionally replaced/transferred to something in better condition, the rest of it (which is the vast majority of it) varyingly literally rots.

Quote from: Dragonspawn, chapter something or another
“Now comes the practical part of this lesson: integrating it into your combat style. For the rest of you, consider this an opportunity to improve upon your basics. And what better way to do that than… an ambush!”

“What?!”

“HELLO MEATBAGS.”

In other words, they kickin' it old school. I remember that general aesthetic of softcore porn demo mess from back in DOS/Win 95 days, ha.

Uh. Yes? Like, I don't recall any off the top of my head, exactly, but there were basically entire black and white cartoon series that were effectively music videos, back in the days before color video existed. Just as a starting point.
