1.0.1*, you mean :P

Was a pretty chonky patch, tho'. Nerfed phoenix units super hard, hehehe.

... fairness where it's due, they probably deserved it. A large stack of phoenix was kinda' stupidly powerful (and functionally immune to attrition, more importantly).

... thank you for posting before I hit the character limit. I was starting to worry :P

Anyway~ Junk Emporium! 150k. My Hero Academia crossed with one of those... I forget what they're called, CYOA writing prompt things? Anyway, it supposedly uses basically an encounter table for powers the MC collects as the story goes along, with the writey person rolling with it, from what I understand. In this particular case with a focus on buildy stuff. There's at least one more fairly lengthy celestial forge thing I'm aware of, just set in Worm instead of MHA. Any case, it's... okay? It's okay. Decent romp, no major stylistic issues I can recall, read pretty smooth. Just now hitting the point really major things are starting to happen, though, so... yeah. Not RSS'd ('cause if you can do that on SV I'unno how), but watched with some cheerfulness, heh.

Also sometime in the next month or so, I'm (probably) going to be getting my hands on the cyber samurai TMNT mini-series, so... sorta' looking forward to reading that. Gonna' see Raph punch Hitler!

E: Dragonspawn! 280k. Dude gets blown up by a mine, reincarnates into my hero academia land as baby dragon shapeshifter chick. Lives life! Experiences significant trauma and loses the shapeshifter for just-be-a-dragon-all-the-time! Does hero in training-y stuff, has ~family drama~, grows as a person dragon. It's pretty nice. Watched with cheer!

E2: Scientia Weaponizes the Future! Nibbly 74k. Adult lawyer gets isekai mind-melded into Wormverse Taylor, with super knowledge powers. Does things! Solves the P = NP thing! Other stuff! It's alright. Pretty fast moving, but also that perennial ~just getting to the good bit~ thing that always seems to be happening when you hit the end of the current work of an incomplete bit of fiction. Anyway, watched without reserve. Next!

e3: https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/snapping-turtle-naruto-si.83751/reader/ snapping Turtle, see title, 120k good nuff to read in one day, no type more due to hurt hand

e4: https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/mandalore-the-administrator.74563/reader/ title in url, star wars tinker taylor throwing wrenches around wormverse, 100k, totes dead due to writer life interrupt, wrist still fairly fucked so no typeformat junk, decent enough up to the point of kaput! Kinda' half-assed yuri plot, but one of the better half-assed yuri plots I've seen! anyway it's alright

e5: https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/the-skittering-chaos-worm-hazbin-hotel-helluva-boss.86712/reader/ tiny 60-something k, somewhat nsfw, I guess? Nothing super explicit, but some pretty rough language and gore. Worm/Hazbin Hotel crossover, so, y'know. Anyway, it's fairly decent, seems to be trying a redemption(?) arc on some of the Merchants. Worm characters dealing with the whole hell-actually-exists dealio and what that means for, well, Worm characters. Post golden morning worm characters.

If nothing else it made me realize I'd never really considered the implications of afterlife + crapsack/post-apoc settings, where billions or trillions of people that led pretty shitty lives full of questionable decisions suddenly end up super dead en masse. It's a thought!

It might, I'unno. From what I understand, the 100 day squelch got slapped down by a court, and despite that url the priorities and whatnot are (at least on paper) actually a restriction rather than expansion, compared to shitgibbon times.

Pretty sure they're supposed to be temporary in any case, with changes coming in the relatively near future (3 months or somethin). Plenty of people are extra pissed about it, so there's definitely pressure to shape up. We'll just have to see how it plays out :-\

And in today's "light amusements of the light classical channel", An Operatic Nightmare: Desecration Rag No. 2.

Decent enough music, but the real gem is just the title :P

If I even understood half of what you said: public library overrides copyright? That is actually brilliant.
Nah. Or well, not exactly. They do have a lot more leeway on some fronts when it comes to copyright, but it's not an override or anything. ILL is just an inter-library loan, one library shipping an item to another. The shareit thing is just a statewide platform so that basically any library in the state has an easy way to request items from any other library in the state. The lending library (usually!) won't like make a copy of the item or nothing, just ship what they have (either through purchase or someone donating it) on over, generally without a shipping fee or nothin' (at least between the libraries -- the patron might have charges to cover processing and potential damage and whatnot). It's super convenient sometimes, if often pretty slow.

... any case, via darkest of library worker magicks, the request has been submitted and the miniseries collection will hopefully show up in a week or two :V

And, uh, yeah, congrats on your wife not dying in a mangled wreck of hurtling steel, dun. That's... something. Good isn't quite the right word because "good" would have been not wrecking at all, but something similar in intent!

hahaha what

I can get a reprint of the full cyber samurai mini-series thing in through the state ILL.* Frumple has found something to spend a dollar on!

*For anyone curious and in florida, give a search for FLIN SHAREit; forth quarter 2020 or thereabouts florida finished rolling out a state-wide ILL service after mostly dropping OCLC a couple years ago, and it's searchable by the public, so if you have a local participating library (and maybe even if they're not; there's other ILL methods operating in FL, too) and you're after something specific it doesn't have, well. You can see if it's somewhere else in the state that's sharing!

Idle checking has informed me that, during the cyber samurai mini-series thing, at some point Raphael punches literally Hitler.

Damnit, now I'm actually getting tempted to really try to find those comics.

Grandfather is very clearly transitioning into mid/mid-late stages of probably!Alzheimer's. No official diagnosis (i.e. no meaningful help) yet, either.

Trying to care for him's going to start getting much, much harder :-\

I have now learned they apparently made a new post-apocalyptic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles thing. There's at least two TMNT settings with power armored ninja turtles. Possibly more. Bloody hell.

e: the cyber samurai comics were the ones I was actually remembering, so I don't forget/for the curious. Only got one of them when I was a kid, but... thing was pretty damn metal, from what I remember. Ralph had like PTSD nightmares and got melted into a skeleton turtle by acid rain in a dream, had shacked up with that one fox chick. Don was experimenting with like alternate dimensions or something, good chunk of the world had flooded or summat. Freaking toyline tie-ins, what were you doing.

Thing I wasn't expecting at 4 am from the light classical music channel: Acappella Mozart (Alla turka from piano sonata in A, a cappella amadeus, swingle something or other). It wasn't even bad or anything, just... very not expected. Channel in question does basically no vocals from what I'd heard, until then.

... tenths? Definitely can't think of a per- one off the top of my head, though. It's not common usage anywhere I can recall being. A per ten would just be 10% or whatever. 20 or 30 percent off and whatnot.

... alternatively alternatively, the cat just did the cat mother thing cat mothers do and moved the kittens around. They'll do that even if they're more or less perfectly secure or whatever. Or someone with good intentions could have seen kittens and figured they could give them a decent home or somethin'.

Though yeah, something or another could have eaten them or whatever pretty easily, too. Catmom likely wouldn't have appeared particularly distraught if they had been, catmoms tend to give pretty few shits over dead kittens, from what I've seen.
