well, congrats on being plagued by the math ghost of a fishman, vec

now all you have to do is scribble innsmouth in red ink/blood along the margins of whatever you're working with angry frowny faces around them

... though from what I remember of french that would be a fairly astoundingly rude statement to make. Eh, they've probably been called worse :V

Isn't poison kernals just rotten corn though?

wait no, poisson kernals. Fish kernals? Fish nuggets! There we go, enlightenment through seaside carny food.

Less sure about the tensor products, though. Pulley winders? Autotwisting devices? Most folks want to relax rather than getting all tense...

e: no seriously I wasn't forgetting my french, fish kernals? Why do you need to understand fish kernals, and why is it half in french?

e2: freaking autocorrupt it was supposed to be an e! bah!

Well, there you go.

Embrace your inner decadent medieval nobility: Make savoury rice pudding.

another good idea but I already seasoned the rice before cooking it :L savoury sweet rice pudding would not work out well I think.
I mean... maybe try it anyway? Savoury sweet can work out pretty well sometimes. I expected terror when I mistook the curry powder for cinnamon when making a pb&j sandwich but it was actually pretty good.

What, you missed that part of the silmarillion? The borg arc is one of the most memorable parts of it!

Because I hadn't tried it before, and it consisted of things I liked to eat! Cream of chicken soup with curry powder and some cheese is amazing, though better when you can do it home made and cut out the stupid amounts of salt put in most purchasable soups. Sweet and sour chicken is pretty good and excellent when it's rice instead of cream of chicken in that mix. So, y'know. You put them together and see what happens. That's how you do the cooking!

Sometimes it goes poorly. Even this was still edible, just... aggressively not great, would not recommend.

Thing to not do: Cream of sweet and sour chicken, with added cheese and curry powder. Took canned cream of chicken, cooked frozen (innovasian brand) sweet and sour chicken, cooked both, stirred together with extra curry powder and some cheese.

It was edible, but. Barely. With a look, taste, and texture disturbingly close to actual vomit. Would not recommend!

How long until we see corporate assassins? :v
Decades/centuries ago :V

Dunno how common it's been for the financial or tech markets in recent years (overt violence is more direct resource extraction groups shtick), but corps offing people through various means is a thing older than living memory, heh.

It's pretty fun to watch speedruns of stuff like that, ha. Play? Eeehhhh. Last time I was actually trying something like that, I was also hitting it with Battle Encoder Shirase to slow the thing down to like half speed or somethin'. Incidentally, if you're someone that enjoys that kind of thing conceptually but find it just moves too fast, there's totally programs these days that can slow things down to whatever point is comfortable for you.

But yeah, there's also some touhou platformers that are actually like pretty fair, apparently? Or so I hear. The fangame ecosystem for that thing has ranged pretty far. One of these days I might actually try the super robot wars ones :P

Dunno if I can remember the last pure platformer I've played, though. I'm down with the occasional metroidvania, but that's about my limit.

There's some pretty mean touhou platformer fangames if that's what you're looking for, I think? Don't recall names off the top of my head 'cause that's multiple genres I'm not super fond of these days interacting, but I seem to recall they exist.

In other wtf, I look at the TV family has on the superbowl, and the halftime show looks like it consists of a lot of people doing some sort of hentai kamen cosplay. It's, uh. I'm not sure what to think on that one. Or say.

Like... there's apparently folks looking down the barrel of legal action specifically because of that, though, from what I understand? It actually does seem like a fair amount, if not all, of the GME rise did involve concentrated market manipulation.

It's pretty definite the big financial folks are largely coming away from this like bandits, in any case.

So, like. There's this thing Cab Calloway did as a musician I don't think I've seen much/at all outside of him, and I'm wondering if any of y'all know of folks that have done the same thing?

Specifically, the dude had reoccurring characters, references to/focus on established critters found in several songs, namely Minnie the Moocher and Smokey Joe -- just off the top of my head, I can think of four (Minnie the Moocher, Kicking the Gong Around, Lady with a Fan, and Ghost of Smokey Joe), and I'm fairly sure there's at least a couple more I'm not immediately recalling.

And, like. I can think of a few other cases where a band or performer made a one off or small reference to another song, but I can't recall any that did, well. That. Where there's approaching a half-dozen or more pieces that specifically and substantially reference persistent characters. It'd be neat to hear of more, heh.

Nah, they just tripped over an old scam, unfortunately. For all its hype, the gme thing is looking increasingly like it was mostly non-hedge fund folks getting played real hard, basically just a mild variation of ye' old pump and dump with some added theater.

It has been pretty damn cyberpunk, tho', that's true enough. Just less money glitch and more megacorps fleecing the masses :-\
