Yeah, which is a problem if (as is pretty much goddamn certain) the GOP continues to actively fuck with relief efforts. There doesn't seem to be many other options, though :-\

The thing that article Iduno referenced was harping on is an utterly untested provision in a law that's been around since the 80s, which isn't exactly a better alternative, especially given the state of the judiciary.

If the Georgia runoffs don't break blue shit's probably going to have trouble getting better, for all taking some of the actively malicious folks out of the equation'll at least make it a bit harder to get worse.

Probably the rather brutal revenge part? Maybe? If it'd help any, you might check imdb's content advisory page for the movie in question. Just going by what's mentioned there, the general atmosphere of the movie involves a lot of violence and very troubled people doing fairly messed up stuff. Hard going, as hec puts it.

e: Though, uh, ware spoilers if you scroll too far down that page, 'cause there's some big ones.

Nobody will tell me how much the vaccine will cost me

Trump claimed it would be free for US citizens. IDK what Biden's going to do going forward.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

He's said what the far-right and the center-right wanted him to say, so it's hard to know what he'll actually try to do, and will have to face some adversity in congress if he doesn't do what the far-right wants, so...
And for those that want something more than a screenshot of a clickbait title...*

Actual content of the article: Biden not actually saying bloody anything back in March, just not going out of their way to support a specific process involving something that's apparently never been successfully used before (something called march-in rights).

If you want to see what's actually been stated by Biden's campaign, rather than not-stated months ago, search this page for "ELIMINATING COST BARRIERS FOR PREVENTION OF AND CARE FOR COVID-19" and read downwards from there.

It's not as explicit a support for free vaccines as I'd like to see, but it's also not clickbait horseshit reading tea leaves from a lack of comment most of a year ago on supporting a legislative provision that's never been bloody used, either.

* Actually, that seems to be either paywalled or asking you to register, so have the source they're cribbing from.

E: Interesting note, though: While biden hasn't come out in support of trying to invoke the march-in clause, harris has. So despite the non-comment by biden directly, he was apparently willing to take on a VP that's in favor of it.

If you're trying to read tea leaves there it probably ends up something of a wash. Suggests it might get tried if republican sabotage ends up too intractable, though.

There are chemicals that ignite on contact with water, iirc, or something like that. Oxygen and hydrogen are both, uh. Pretty reactive at the end of the day, from what I understand. It'd take some really weird stuff happening for a fruit to produce it, like... at all. Especially in an environment that even remotely resembles what has produced what we call bananas.

A wildly different environment that somehow produces life without relying heavily on water could maybe see it happen, though. The fruit in question just wouldn't exactly be a banana anymore, and questionably even a fruit.

Alternatively the flood is, like, a flood of molten metal or somethin'. If it's flooding with something besides water it may be incredibly reasonable for current reality bananas to combust when flooded.

Biden's made comment/commitment to eliminate out of pocket expenses entirely for plague treatment, which would probably include the vaccine, but the exact form that takes or if it'll hold up to the pretty certain to continue GOP sabotage/intentional-mass-murder-of-american-citizens is something we just don't know yet.

Trump, well, he lost re-election so other than whatever problems his administration causes in the next few months on the subject, his previous probably-lies don't matter much.

mfw we're dying but it's been a week since last post and I'm still doubleposting. We've had Pfizer announce a possible vaccine and still no interest in thread.
I mean, yeah, we're just kinda' fucked; situation fucked, continues to be fucked doesn't make for much engagement sometimes :-\

... anyway, for what it's worth I've seen it mentioned repeatedly the pfizer thing probably shouldn't be, like, associated with them that much. Apparently basically the only thing they've been involved with is marketing, with all the actual development being done by, uh. Some german company I've forgotten the name of. Bio something?

Remains to be seen whether the claims of 90% effectiveness hold true, in any case... though even if it does, the infrastructure issues related to distribution is probably going to cause problems.

Seem to recall Rasmussen has still been pretty damn wrong, they're just wrong in a way that happens to be sorta' similar to what actually happened, in some ways. Basically a thing where you don't actually want to do what they're doing 'cause their methodology is kinda' shit, they just happened to fuck up the right way this time. Somewhat. Not entirely.

Polling been real weird this cycle, and it's not being helped by actually being mostly pretty accurate, just not in a way that meshes well with the clusterfuck that is our election results publication. Fair amount that looked royally fucked on the 3rd has turned out to be pretty close as shit actually finished getting counted, which is probably going to drive pollsters up the goddamn walls, since it doesn't, like, lend itself well to figuring out what did go wrong in places :-\

Yeah, pretty much. I've killed and seen the bottom boss killed with pretty lackluster wands/perk combos before. So long as you avoid the orbs, it's a tough fight but not super deadly or anything. Manageable with one set of perks and an okay wand. A good wand basically deletes it if it isn't orb boosted, heh.

Now, 11 or 30+ orb boss and you're going to need (or at least very, very want) the big guns, and probably several perk collecting runs. Takes forever otherwise, heh, and it's not like the thing's a complete pushover regardless so long as you don't insta-pop it.

That's apparently in the cards for later, but for the time being it mostly seems to be promoting newsmax and oann, whatever the hell those are.

I seem to recall someone tried something like that at some point. A (janky/low budget) MMO with inter-world transit that led to worlds with significantly different gameplay mechanics, meant to be moved between and whatnot. Can't recall what happened to it, though...

An extended run does involve going back up (and probably across and down and up a few more times), yeah. Watching folks go about it, it's probably less time consuming, though. New spells and perks and whatnot has stuff in them that makes getting around like that (a lot) easier.

That said, you don't need to do any of that for a straightforward zero-orb boss kill. If you want to just go straight down and kill a foo you're more than able.

Huh, that's vaguely amusing. Apparently the shitgibbon is turning hard against Fox, at least on twitter. <insert let them fight meme here>

It's apparently used sometimes, going by google. "Romance language" is far and away the more common term for latin descended languages, though, to the point I had to turn to google to figure out if romanic wasn't just a misspelling. It's not, but most english speakers I've met that would even be aware there's a term for the stuff probably wouldn't recognize it, or respond in any way other than something along the lines of, "Oh, you mean romance language?"

Well... good to hear it's going a'ight and the plague hasn't gotcha', heh. Best of luck for things to keep steady for yeh.
