Could hit Louisiana again, huh. After a year like this I can't help but wonder if the state's going to actively lose population between getting shat on by hurricanes and the plague :-\

I don't understand the people who are "America should be 100% Christian" or "100% white" or whatever. What sort of racial or religious purging do they have in mind?!
The best of them (which are still miles upon miles from being good, or even merely not fucking horrible) just don't think it through, I think. They don't have anything in particular in mind, they just want the nebulous other they've spent much their lives seeing demonized to be gone, and they don't care enough to think or give a damn about what it entails. There's not many of those.

The rest of them have some combination of genocide and/or exile on the mind. Maybe just torture and indoctrination if they're feeling generous. These are not good people being discussed, here.

Where is the anger toward hunter and what was on his laptop? The news is barely talking about it and I was surprised that this thread pushes it off when it was mentioned because republicans do the same thing, making everyone (republicans AND democrats) exactly the same just different colors. But it makes coming to this thread like walking into a trump subreddit, but instead of trump its biden.
Except it's not Biden. Say it with me now: Hunter Biden is not Joe Biden. Hunter Biden is not running for president. Hunter Biden is not involved in Joe Biden's campaign. Hunter Biden is not part of Joe Biden's staff, past (so far as I can recall, anyway) or present. Hunter Biden has no indication of being part of any future presidential administration, and has not, iirc, been part of a past one. Hunter Biden is not Joe Biden. Hunter Biden is not, in fact, running for president. Unlike Trump and his kids, Joe Biden has not meaningfully attempted to involve Hunter in his political or financial efforts. Unlike Trump's children, Hunter Biden has not made much of a name (for better or worse) for himself in the public sphere.

Reason one you're not seeing the Hunter (again, not Joe! Hunter is not Joe Biden, is not running for president, is not part of Joe Biden's campaign staff or previous political efforts) Biden laptop thing come up much is because it's literally irrelevant to much of anything actually going on, and no one's really given much of a shit about Hunter to begin with. At least the Clinton's buttered mails actually was something Hillary Clinton was actually involved with. Hunter's Mysterous Multiplying Laptops is not, actually, something Joe Biden has been involved with. It's not getting much airtime because it has more or less nothing to do with Joe Biden, and by extension his campaign, and as such largely just doesn't goddamn matter in the last couple weeks before election day.

Reason two is even freaking Fox is looking as some of the stuff related to the Hunter Biden thing and going, "Wait, no, this is horseshit." At the moment there's little to no actual proof visible to the public, and holes large enough to drive a semi through much of what is visible, starting with the basic premise of there being a staggering amount of evidence of criminal behavior on a laptop Hunter decided to drop off at some random mall in a state he doesn't even live in anymore, that he just left there and forgot. Then there's the time paradoxes involved in some of the shit that has gone public. Then there's the nature of the stuff the laptops are claimed to have -- shit that's explicitly and extremely criminal, and if actually exists would mean both the laptop repair person and Rudy at a minimum are now on the hook for felonies for how it's been handled. The list there just... keeps going.

The allegations aren't even remotely proven, at this point, the details visible to the public are so stupidly sketchy even bloody Fox has balked at carrying water for some of it, and even without all that, again, again, Hunter Biden is not Joe Biden. Hunter Biden is not running for president. Hunter Biden is not involved in Joe Biden's campaign.

So, like. No. Most folks are not particularly invested in the Hunter Biden shit. People mostly don't give a damn about Hunter Biden. Even if it all turned out to be true, something that would require literal time travel to happen, then fuck that guy in particular and who cares beyond that? Hunter ain't Joe. Hunter ain't running for president.

It's at least theoretically possible to find a robot rep boosting disguise armor, for what it's worth. I had a fairly wild run early during the latest betas that started out with that. It was amusing to casually walk up to a chaingun turret, buy all their ammo of them, and then kill them :P

3395
Wait, when did that happen? 3 million eventual dead has been the back of napkin "duh" body count for the ~1% fatality rate and 100% infection stateside since... however many years months ago it was people figured out that's somewhere around the point the fatality rate is. There's not incredulity to be found with that guess, just the crushing weight of exactly what failure will look like of our country doesn't stop fucking this up.

Can't really call it round two when round one's never particularly ended, but not-so-sudden death overtime? That might work!

Biden has already said nothing will change if he's elected, except he also has said he wants more conservative judges so he can overturn Roe v Wade (kind of his big goal).
Y'know, I think I asked for a source on this before, with nothing materializing. Nearest I can actually find that even looks sort of like that is a comment older than I am. His most recent ones include a pledge to push to outright legislate the roe v wade decision if barrett gets confirmed and goes on to fuck with it. Anti-abortion groups seem to currently fucking hate biden, so if he's supportive of their horseshit they seem to have missed it.

So, like. Again, where are you getting this from?

Just... it was hard not to stay quiet for the lulz, but the scrambler works on (grit gate) waydroids specifically. It doesn't do anything to your rep with robots, so, like. Most other things will still be cheerfully hostile, and it probably won't help any with the critter in question.

May as well mention my Biden/Trump landslide predictions:

Biden:
-I forsee an attempt of at least an expansion the courts to counteract Trump's number of confirmations, potentially up to packing the court levels, and the attempt may be hauled before the supreme court.  In such case, I think the court would go against that, even the more left-leaning judges, in order to try to limit political involvement of the court as that would weaken their position.
I can just about guarantee the court would -- and could -- do precisely sod all about an expansion. It wouldn't be the first time the number of supreme court judges has been changed, and congress being able to decide the makeup of the SCOTUS like that is explicitly constitutional. There's just flat out no grounds for the court to go against it. It's not a question of constitutional or judicial review. At all.

It was a long period of people getting folks killed mostly over stupid horseshit, with the constant threat of nuclear annihilation hanging over everyone's heads like the sword of damocles. Nevermind the period itself being fucking insane on a lot of levels, it largely drove the generation(s) that lived through it also goddamn crazy. Trump-tier crazy wouldn't be particularly inaccurate.

Casual boost ship run ended with the last shot in the last fight dealing a bit over 1400 damage (i.e. enough damage to kill the final boss like two or three times over) to the poor drone that was lingering after I one-shot the final boss from full health/shields and then did the same to their starting ally. Boost deck can get pretty crazy :P

DOUBLE EDIT: Apparently Trump is going to use the military to distribute the vaccine? Inb4 we all get carpet-bombed with syringes.
Anyone know if there's been any indication that was a thing prior to tonight? I think it's the first I've heard it mentioned (probably because it doesn't make much sense, you'd just use whatever infrastructure we already use for vaccines).

Yeah, corpse dragging can be... rough, if you don't have sleds/piles of negative weight spheres/high strength beguiled minions/high level multi-legs, etc. Tend to be one the quest types you just shrug off and ignore, heh.

e: also we totally have a Qud thread around here somewhere another. Someone was keeping up on posting update changelogs for a while.

Curry powder I got, at least, ain't really spicy in the tongue-burn sense. It has a bit of red and black pepper and some ginger, but that seems the sharpest stuff in it, eyeballing the ingredients. In practice there's basically no burn at all, t'me, and I'm pretty sensitive to hot-spicy food.

... not sure I'd put it on bland-carbs, though.* Like, probably a no on curry oatmeal (though mostly cause I just don't like oatmeal, ha). But eggs or whatever it should be fine with. This very thought has given me a sorta' intense urge to mix curry powder with cane syrup and see what it does to pancakes or waffles, tbh, since it apparently turns out it's not bad with sweet stuff, too.

*Or, well, it just hasn't been good on instant mashed potatoes, yet. Diced potatoes cooked up in a pressure cooker with curry powder turned out pretty great, and it's damn good on rice, but it's super meh on instant mash. So I'unno, maybe it'd do alright on oatmeal...

Looking up what a cathead is, I can't see how that would even be possible, so... probably not.
