It would be nice to just have a continuous "go find something useful to do" task. I think there's stuff real close to that, but not it explicitly. Otherwise an option to just leave them idle and have them do just... something. Or a fairly good chance of it, probably modified by character traits.

The price to it all would probably boil down to the usual issues of having adventurers and hero types loitering around that aren't being rode herd on. Maybe you tell someone to "just go do whatever" and a couple months later they come back up a few a levels and with a bucket of loot but also there's volcanoes erupting all over one of your provices for... some reason. Or you go looking for them and it turns out they've become the god-king of a fairy village or somethin'.

Idly busy but with a recall period and chance for oddity sounds like something that would really fit the game's design to date, really. The longer you leave them alone, the longer it takes the messenger to find them (or their body), the more likely it is they don't find the hero but they do find a regiment of young half-dragons that look suspiciously like the missing minion, something like that.

Oh, I thought we were avoiding ISBN: 9780241441572  and ISBN: 9780738206752...

So, anyway. AmeriPol. How many more weeks to go?
Real answer, though: No one actually knows. Election day is the third of November, i.e. less than two weeks. Votes can end up being accepted out 'till about the 17th, though, iirc, and legal challenges can mess with any of the dates involved. So we don't know. No one knows. It could be less than two weeks. It could be some time into December or 2021. Power transfer isn't slated to finish until some time in January, I think. So probably more than a week, probably less than four months. >1, <16.

Jesus. Your system must be infected with all kinds of shit. Like words. And thoughts.
No, no. Few words, less thoughts. Just MARC records and casually copied goodreads summaries. There's no thinking here, just an endless parade of officially sanctioned data piracy.

Eh, it's dawkin's god delusion flanked by a couple of discworld books. It's literally part of my job to follow random isbns, there's no hesitation there anymore.

Muscle memory is a hell of a drug.

Related to that, I've found out curry powder is actually remarkably good in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I don't know what I was expecting out of mistaking the cinnamon for curry powder, but still better than baseline PB&J wasn't it.

[System Announcement]

[Good morning, my honored residents. Now that most of them have been inducted, I am pleased to announce yet another species has been added to our community, though not for the first time.

Some of your civilizations do have records reaching this far back, but for those who aren't aware, there is a way out of The World, and only one species has ever left.

They're back. The Humans are back, and as is custom, I've put together an event to celebrate! The Humans will likely remember this little holiday from their own homeworld.]

[As far as responses go... well.. I mean this in the most affectionate way possible, but y'all are smartasses. That's not a bad thing; questioning the things in front of you is a good skill to have.
For what it's worth I've had questions like that where the correct answer was black in like... three different classes, iirc. English related with the focus at the time being critical reading, math of some sort I can't recall, and I'm pretty sure something or another related to epistemology or something adjacent to it. Perception or bias or whatever related.

It's applicable to more fields, too -- I could see it used in teaching education as a emphasis question regarding test writing and whatnot, just off the top of my head, 'cause if you had that specific phrasing on something that's not more or less multiple choice, the teacher would be dealing with an issue where they'd have multiple correct answers and might not be expecting it.

Really, the best joke is I only noticed because someone highlighted that AOC's among us stream was netting something like eight thousand times the viewership as the army's league of legends play :P

I think it's less get them out (though that, too), and more if they're going to be in it they should at least get good at it, ha.

Just found out AOC (and Ilhan, and maybe others) are streaming or just streamed or something Among Us for a while. Apparently got up or over 3-400k viewers? May still be climbing? I don't even know anymore. I've now seen among us streaming described as the fireside chat of the pogchamp era.

...

... also apparently there's a US army esports twitch channel?

e: fucking hell it's not just a twitch channel they actually have a sixteen member official esports team

I've not met many that actually go through with tasting, tho'. They smell pretty edible, but everything else about them... less so. So folks mostly don't.

I mean, the black shape is clearly the largest of the three, area wise.

Dunno how long it took to come to that conclusion, though. Less than a minute, at least? Took re-reading the question to make sure it didn't specify number or specific shapes, just "shapes" plural with no further specificity, which leaves you with a red and blue that may or may not comprise roughly the same area and a black that's probably larger than the other two combined.

How long until I see a Trump tweet asserting that this is some radical conspiracy by the left to silence him?  Place your bets ladies and gentlemen--
