Reportedly, "the Trump campaign is discussing contingency plans to bypass election results and appoint loyal electors in battleground states where Republicans hold the legislative majority."

"With a justification based on claims of rampant fraud, Trump would ask state legislators to set aside the popular vote and exercise their power to choose a slate of electors directly."

Source: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/11/what-if-trump-refuses-concede/616424/
To be totally clear, this is constitutional and there doesn't even need to be a justification. State legislatures are allowed to determine the method of choosing an elector freely.
To be totally clearer, this statement is pretty much entirely false. What's being described by the shitgibbon and co. largely violates the state constitutions or laws in most or all of potentially contested areas. State legislatures cannot actually just rewrite their own constitutions and legal code at a whim, which is what it would take for the situation in question to actually occur.

So yeah. Taylor. Her murderer has been indicted... on three charges of reckless endangerment. Still has to go to court.

But. Yeah. Indicated on the possible harm that may have been inflicted on other people while killing someone. Not the actual killing. Just the other people.

Not going to be very surprised if another police station gets burnt down before this particular spat of shit is over, 'cause gods know the odds are piss the murdering cop actually gets convicted if the courts can't even muster the balls to indict for the actual killing.

E: Wait, no, they're not even charging the actual fucks that shot her, just a different one that was on the scene. Words fail, ha.

I mean... looking at it I assumed it was just vinegar or pickling juice or something like that. I've seen eggs in jars of similar colored liquid that were pickled or whatever, and people eventually ate them.

... I didn't, because I share that impression of its look, but other people did.

E: Though yeah, looking at the actual article some of the pictures look much less concerning. It's just a bag of boiled eggs with some water to keep them from drying out, with the lighting or bag color making it look kinda' odd. Bothers me way less than the jars of pig's feet I've seen pretty regular on grocery shelves :P

Bump to inform everyone that tropical storm Paulette is now on its way westward. Fortunately (?) just forming on the east side of the atlantic, but still.

... and if you're paying attention, that might seem odd when we're into the greek alphabet for naming storms. Well, that's because this one is Paulette, from earlier in the year, having made a trip across the atlantic, done the storm thing, rotated up and around, went back across the atlantic without quite breaking up entirely, and has now worked its way up back to tropical storm strength and is starting its third trip across the atlantic.

The NOAA has officially called it Zombie Paulette, because in year 2020 hurricane necromancy is apparently a thing.

And Biden has gone on record as saying his goal was to get more conservative judges into the court to overturn Roe v Wade
So do you have an actual source for that? I checked, and found nothing, particularly nothing in that direction that's too young to legally drink. His history on the subject is pretty sub-par, but most of the worst of it seems to be as old or older than me.

His current actual stated position is to set roe v wade as straight up federal law, though, near as I can tell. Seems fairly firmly on the "personally uncomfortable, publicly supportive of legal protection" side of things.

Hell, straight up dying to it didn't stop herman cain.

You'd hope family or friends dying to it or otherwise being personally effected would change a mind, but... well, not as often as it should :-\

Rightwing Facebook is saying "The people made their decision in 2016 for Trump to choose Justices". Which is unfortunately true
I mean, it's not, actually. The people didn't make that decision. The smaller minority of a minority of the people able to vote in the right places gave the shitgibbon enough of an electoral college advantage to become president despite millions more people wanting nothing to do with him. The people voted against that fuck, and damn sure didn't decide in 2016 for trump to choose justices.

PSO2 has been proper translated, yeah. It's on steam and everything, these days, for what it's worth. We even got a thread somewhere or another here in OG. Bloody huge download, though... 20+ gigs, iirc.

I guess the police could be lying here, but the idea of dismissing what the police actually say because that gets in the way of the narrative seems a bit like circular logic. So, if, you know, the cops are saying it doesn't exist then i can see why the 'lamestream media' aren't exactly reporting on it.
Eh, US police in general are about as trustworthy as Loki at this point... probably significantly less, really. You don't dismiss what the police are saying due to some kind of narrative thing, you do it because every time we bloody turn around they're spewing one lie or another.

That said, it's not a reason to believe one way or another, cops saying something is like fox saying something, reason to seek third party confirmation and not much else. Which in this case doesn't seem to much exist, so... check back later to see if something actually turns up. Or not, 'cause even if it's a thing it's doubtful it's going to be worth much or any notice. Worthless is probably a pretty good evaluation.

Seeing little mention of it and less news... and most of the sources of either are ones I'd want other sources for. Call back when someone notices it exists.

So, uh. I don't even know what it is anymore, maybe just another tropical storm? Slated to hit east Texas in a couple days in any case, probably sit around dumping water everywhere as it meanders back up... into Louisiana. Poor goddamn Louisiana. Season has not been kind to the bayou this time around :-\

There shall be no celebrating! We are not leftists.

sounds like a bunch of nazis branding anyone with different politics like that. Anyone who says "leftists" like that is a moron. we don't eat babies like those leftists do, do we?
They are just making fun of people like you, but go ahead and keep crying.
But no, we don't eat babies, support pedos, or take over racial equality movements as an excuse to burn cities either.
General destruction of welfare, Roy Moore just as an immediate and recent example, all/blue lives matter and related horseshit. Pull the other one, primary source of U.S. domestic terrorism :P

Today's food thing: Bunch of strawberry cheesecake icecream into blender. Bunch of milk into blender. Two (2) slices actual strawberry cheesecake into blender. Blend. Pour. Drink. Fills up two of those (18 ounce) red plastic cups.

Is good.

Well... stay safe as y'can, yeah. The bad ones are always rough :-\

Sally has arrived, and brought with her "Historic and deadly flooding".
Yeah... I'm like 2-3 hours east or something like that from landfall area and, well. It started meaningfully raining yesterday around 11-ish am. It's currently 7 in the morning the next day and the rain has not stopped. At all. And I'm way away from the main impact areas. Southern alabama/west florida looks to be getting a harvey, rain wise :-\
