Wasn't that showing up like last year or something? Anti-vax horseshit had already brought measles cases back prior to the crow plague kicking off, iirc.

Folly's getting pretty fucking close to this level.  It's like the only lives that deserve safety are police lives, and it would be totally ok to some people if they killed half the people they ever met in the name of safety exclusively for themselves.

I'm not saying that the police are always right. A lot of what they do is really fucked up.
But there does have to be a line somewhere. And imo, taking a cop's weapon and firing it at them is clearly on the wrong side of that line.
You start shooting at a cop, even if it's just a taser, then you deserve what you get.
Fucking horseshit. Tasering someone, anyone, is not, in fact, grounds for extrajudicial execution. You don't "deserve" to be shot in the back for anything that went on there. Especially not failing to taze someone, when their partner is standing right goddamn besides them and after they tried to assault and taze you. There is zero goddamn grounds, justification, or reason outside of fucking bloodthirst for that man to have been murdered by a pair of cops in that parking lot. If it weren't a cop doing the killing there's even odds (assuming the victim was white, anyway ::)), they'd be in jail right goddamn now for it.

The main issue here is the alleged racism. BLM* even burned the Wendy's down because of it.
But there's zero reason to suspect that it was motivated by racism.
There's every reason. Cops (and others, for that matter) deal with belligerent drunks (nevermind you'd have to be fucking wrongheaded to think that was what was going on there to begin with) all the goddamn time. Most of the time, and especially when they're white, the drunk ends up going home mildly scuffed up at worst, even if they struggle, even if they yoink a fucking teaser or some shit. Instead this one gets capped in the back after running away, and the primary difference is real goddamn evident.

You're missing a word, there, I think. It says words, so presumably numbers don't count. Minor tip: Given that, consider binary. You need eight words, then go back wild with the 0s and 1s :P

Par for the course, really? Jacksonville's too far away to like... do anything about it, assuming anything's to be done. Covid stats wise we've never really, like, slowed down much, far as I've noticed. Fuckers under head fucker desantis have tried to portray things otherwise so they can sacrifice everyone they can to mammon, but the crow plague hasn't gave a damn about their murder/suicide economic idolatry.

Expect a lot of the attendees to catch the plague, though :P

Yeah, you can. Most of what I was trying to say is that most stateside folks I've heard talking would probably use a different term when talking about them in general conversation. Such as zangi's differentiation between police (general beat cops, basically) and FBI or detectives. They're police in a general sense but folks still tend to think (or at least talk) about them as if they're somewhat separate.

3712
Eh... I don't think most folks really think of the FBI as police, no. Like, they're a law enforcement agency, yes, but they're more domestic intelligence service (Think MI5 or somethin') than beat cop. They tend to deal with more specialized (federal level, i.e. inter-state or what have you) issues than general enforcement. FBI folks are generally referred to as, well, FBI or FBI agents, not police.

Similarly, for all their (especially SWAT's) problems, stuff like investigators or SWAT aren't the primary face and force of the police corruption in the US. Contributory, don't get that wrong for even a second, but they don't catch as much flak or generate as much cause for AA fire. Plus there's some grounds to see their presence and mandate as legitimate. Much of what regular police do... less so, especially given how much they make situations worse.

E:fucking autocorrupt it's too early for your shit

Washington Post is trying to push for Biden.
The Word according to Jeff Bezos? Anti-trump? No way....

Trump doesn't take orders as well as Biden. They've been critical of Trump a few times, because they win either way.

Edit: Odds on either major-party candidate saying this is bad?

And another: "Suicide"
Though now that the url's fixed, if you're asking at minimum mouth noises saying that sort of thing is shit (or if someone brings it up directly at some point), odds are pretty damn good Biden would at least verbally condemn it at some point (hell, probably already has in the last few days/weeks), and maybe even be consistent about it.

For all his physical record on the law enforcement front is less than stellar (albeit still better than the fucked up shit trump's been trying to do/encourage), his rhetoric on that kind of stuff's actually been not entirely horrible, and he's managed a fuckton better showing on those issues since the latest batch of roiting police kicked off than the shitgibbon. There is no fucking comparison between the guy that at least will take a symbolic knee in solidarity and the fucker that has clergy tear gassed so he can have a photo op.

Staggeringly low to even talk about it at all. I'd expect the amount of time any of them spend on the campaign trail talking about messed up urls to be exactly zero :P

3715
Yeah, it's "only" "stuff that would be a war crime to use against enemy combatants" . Totally okay when used on your own citizens :V

Most people I've seen commenting on that are entirely aware of the fucking grotesque fact actions prohibited by the convention suddenly aren't when used against civilians. They're not making the comparison in ignorance, more like disgust.

... they have those?

In all seriousness, it took me a moment to realize the thing on the right wasn't supposed to be a puppet. My initial thought was, "Why is there a nightmare fuel warning on a picture of a ventriloquist?"

Then I noticed the context, heh.

Yeah, I once spent most of a Spring match chasing someone else's commander around with my own. It didn't, like, win or anything, but I'm remarkably terrible at TA/Supcom style non-co-op multiplayer so it was probably a bigger contribution than I would have managed otherwise :P

They've had half a dozen commissions already, they've done the prison reform. The problem is the underlying poverty, not what happens after people go to prison.
I mean, no, if folks are dying in custody there's probably problems with what happens after people go to prison, too. If your clinks are still killing people the prison reform prolly ain't actually done. Poverty might be a larger problem, but that don't somehow invalidate whatever ones the prisons have.
