Huh. Could have sworn there were at least two with covid issues. Could be misremembering, I guess.

But yeah, crow plague's basically took down more of the US aircraft carrier group than like. Anything. Ever. Temporarily, I guess, but still.

4007
Wait, is that the second or third carrier the crow plague's put out of action? Pretty sure there was already two, just not sure if that's one of the two or another one.

For what it's worth, covid or not intubation and whatnot apparently tends to be pretty rough on the body. Dunno if anyone's checked to see if the rates on that front are unusual for respiratory cases that requires ICU intervention, basically. It may not be particularly out of line for just "normal" cases of severe respiratory distress.

How many people do to this in USA? How many do it in China?
Tens of thousands Wait, sorry, our licensed hunter population alone is over 10 million, so millions do it in the US yearly. It's bunches either way. Sporadic hunting is particularly common in rural areas -- just for my personal locality, I'd guess pretty easy better than half of it has eaten wild venison in the last year, ferex, nevermind other stuff -- and it's not super unknown to do stuff like feed fresh roadkill (deer or hog, usually) to prisoners and whatnot. Maybe wet markets increase likelihood, but they're damn sure not the only source of that kind of human/animal interaction, not by a long shot.

Incidentally, y'know, the so called spanish flu originated stateside :P

Has Madagascar actually shut down everything at this point?

Yeah, actually, over a week ago.
Great, might as well restart the game can't win if they shut the borders, its like they want to prevent the death of everyone.
Sadly we're running a modded "reality" game, and it didn't take. Unfortunate, really. If all it took to shut down a global pandemic was to wall off Madagascar we'd have an easy out :-\

There's definitely the sensor thing for towers, yeah. Thought there was a commander style one too, but that might just be misremembering. Helpful in any case if you got a decent chunk of artillery (and if you don't, I'm not sure we're thinking of the same game :P), those towers.

Commanders were just kinda' sexy once you figured out how they worked, though. No clue if that's still true these days or not, but I'd think they would still be.

Yeah, experience is really only noticable in the SP campaign, skirmishes and MP just don't last long enough to make experience matter.
Eh, if you can get a good commander or two going it's still pretty noticeable, iirc. They're useful for other stuff, too, though I kinda' forget the details. They're things that were easy to overlook and able to be done without, but if you can work out how to use 'em they were quite the multiplier. Pretty sure they come in tower form or something like that for base defense, too? Been a long time since I played last...

It would help to know which game it is :P

They kinda' are? Beyond the whole transportation thing (which can be important if public transportation for the area is shite, ala the majority of the US), at least in my neck of the woods they tend to also do (often expensive compared to non-dealerships, but...) repair and maintenance for vehicles they sell, and that, reasonably enough, is legitimately fairly essential. Most places handling vehicle repair and/or parts are considered essential. Travel is discouraged, but you still need to be able to get around to handle genuinely important stuff.

Hey, I checked the testing numbers! Florida's up to almost a whole fourth of a percent of the population tested!

hahaha so many people's gonna' die and the officials in this fucking state are just going to go ~who can say what happened to them~

Megaman Battle Network, the slay the spire style roguelite, basically.
I'm sold.
Having watched a few more vids, it's more like battle network meets Touhou meets, like, mainlining speed straight into your veins. It's faster than even the hardest parts of MMBN I can remember seeing, basically someone looked at battle network and went, "But what if more bullet hell?" With slay the spire map stuff, plus other things. I'm kinda' tempted, but I'd be hitting it with cheat engine to slow the bloody thing down 'cause goddamn. Some of the boss fights or later hallway fight equivalents are literally more than I can keep track of watching.

There's times where there's like one safe square (or flat bloody none) on the 4x4 player side, and not due to like one aoe attack or anything. Gets pretty crazy.

One step from Eden game. Megaman Battle Network, the slay the spire style roguelite, basically. Has a category of sword/dash/etc. cards. Called slashfik. Damnit game >_<

For those unaware, slash fic is short for slash fiction, a subgenre of (generally fan, but not always these days) fiction focused on homosexual relationships, almost always male on male (female on female gets femslash or somethin') and probably more likely than not to be fairly explicit. There's a neat history going on with it tracing all the way back to some of the earliest modern fanfiction that involved kirk/spock star trek smut, but eh.

Eh, mud type stuff sociability mostly depended on population, from what I could tell back when I messed around with them. You could have hack and slash stuff that was constant chatter and whatnot, and ostensibly roleplay focused stuff that was just a desolate waste of what few people there just kinda' idling.

Half-hearted check says maybe check out https://uossmud.sandwich.net/ that, and if all else fails, search up mudconnect and just try their top five or ten listed to see if anything appeals. It's been like a decade since I tried to play muds with any effort... most of the stuff I fiddled with back then probably isn't even running anymore.

MSH is every bit the Speaker-of-the-House firebrand and you cannot prove otherwise.
I'm pretty sure equating MSH to pelosi risks causing the former to spontaneously combust :P

Though not going to lie, I'm not sure I'd want to be called presidential anymore. The bar for that's never been the highest, and it's currently hovering at "malignant narcissist dementia sufferer".

I think you are vastly misrepresenting the Saudi-US power balance. Saudi-Arabia gets their military power through US support, sure. But if they were a puppet state the middle East would be a much, much better place. As it is now, they're more likely to force the US to dance to their pipe than the other way around.
It would be a much better place if the parts of the US calling the shots on that front gave a single flying fuck about making it one. Which they demonstrably don't, see the last several decades of U.S. action in the middle east for reference. We are not a good faith actor when it comes to stability in the middle east, at fucking all.
