I think this is on the "panic" mode of the panic vs complacency debate. The odds are good for Tom Hanks. The odds are good for any individual person. The problem comes when (like in Italy) everything happens at once and the healthcare system becomes saturated.

I don't really think it is. My point to these guys was to save up their sick days and holiday days, because we'll probably all be told not to come in for a month at some point.
Oh you sweet summer child. You're both assuming people get those (I don't :V) and assuming they're allowed to save up that much (Just yesterday I read through our personnel policy -- the tl;dr is that workers that do get those things cap out at about half a month, hahaha). Nevermind saving up that many hours would take like a decade or something like that.

Is it different in countries where even the relatively decent workplaces don't aggressively hate their employees (i.e. not the US)?

Last month long crisis we had at my place (michael) we were just put on administrative leave for a few weeks (so paid for normal working hours, but it didn't eat into PTO or sick leave, assuming unlike me you get those). Unfortunately, florida congress fucks are currently in the process of trying to cut state aid to libraries by about 20%, so that might not be on the table this time :P

Also apparently forbid cargo import? It's funny, I don't think I've ever physically heard a stock market die before. Weirdest noise I ever did hear.
Okay, they're apparently saying it may have just been trump's brains leaking out his ears and him being unable to read off a teleprompter without fucking things up. I guess we'll know more later. Maybe.

Far as I'm aware youth turnout's actually been pretty strong lately, anyway. It's just for this primary biden somehow activated the older people vote even harder, and even with strong turnout youngins are kinda', y'know, outnumbered. They can swing an election but not carry it, more or less. If it weren't for them sanders would currently just be a pile of ash on the ground as opposed to "just" getting solidly drummed at the polls (again).

That sounds like less fun than a chloride enema.

Will admit, I'm mildly sad they didn't use the opportunity to slip some sakura wars games in there. That would have been neat.

If Biden is so racist, then why does he have the support of so many black voters?
From what I understand, it's substantially because said voters expect most of the white voters to be racist, too. Most of the rest of it's largely because biden's a long time democrat, and it's democrat infrastructure (if not always white democrat infrastructure) that's done more or less fuck or all for them. There's other stuff going on, too -- outreach by biden, years of varyingly good working relationships with black organizations across the country (which even if not exactly always the greatest in results makes him a pretty known variable), so on, so forth.

Black voters (or at least quite a lot of them) don't seem to have any expectation of a non-racist non-black getting elected, basically. Add in a garnish of "establishment" being very much not a snarl word for a lot of 'em (and especially some of the more influential groups, ala the churches) and you have what could be seen as strangely strong support. I posted a link a few pages back with some interesting insight that lays that stuff out more clearly than I can right now.

I'll be waiting to see who Biden picks as VP, because at this point I think it's more likely we'll see the 25th amendment used on him instead of Trump.
This is your regular reminder that the 25th is utterly fucking toothless if the president is still able to talk and willing to say no. It's built for presidents in a coma, not ones who have their brains leaking out their ears but can otherwise still communicate.

On the 15th, assuming neither of them die before then. I don't even think they're going to let gabbard on the stage for this one, iirc.

Quick check suggests most of the clow cards did, in fact, have personifications that were female, with many of them having anthro features. I guess the impression of most of them being monster girls is fairly accurate.

In any case, are any of those sakura games, like. Actually good? Quick look at one seems to indicate they're basically all porn games or something in that direction, but that doesn't necessarily mean there can't be good games involved, too.

Well, that was neat. Dreamed a little about the flu shot I'm supposed to be getting today. In it, the person giving the shot was a massive lumpy plant man with basically a closed plantera head and crab claws for hands. Like a cross between terraria's plantera, phoenix point's arthrons, and like a linebacker or somethin'.

... with a completely normal, very soothing voice, good patient interaction, and entirely able of giving a perfectly smooth, very gentle shot. We need more eight foot tall man-eating plant man looking mutant doctors, I guess.

He was the messiah of tiberium, brother. Kaine lived, if shortly.

E: Not going to lie, there's some small part of me that legitimately misses the opportunity to have been making nod jokes for the last four years. Like, all the other stuff has larger parts and emotions beyond a dull longing, but that one piece is dedicated to just that. Might have gotten a nod sticker for my wallet or somethin', I'unno. I would have accessorized.

I mean hey, theoretically. All it would take is the rest of the candidates dropping out or dropping dead.

...

Which isn't as unlikely as I'd like, so. I guess put your gabbard bets on "visit from horsemen of the apocalypse". Will it be pestilence or death?!

E: Also yang has endorsed... biden. Yeah, stick a fork in sanders, he's just kinda' done. Bleh.

So, uh. Night's not gone well for sanders, primary wise. Apparently.

Looks like I get to write in "not these geriatric shits" for florida's primary, though, since bernie's campaign is pretty much whooped yet again :-\

... sucks now? Do you people not remember actual instruction booklets from back in the day? 'Cause, like, sure, there were some good ones but most were pretty shit. I don't think they've gotten worse, just harder to lose or be eaten by your pets or something.
