It's nice If you have insurance, anyway. Any news on if the obscene testing costs for the U.S. tests have gone down or not?

From what I've picked up, it mostly boils down to how many turns left you think you'll be taking damage?  Or... something like that. Basically run the math and see if you're satisfied with how much longer the whatever is going to stay alive. If yes, catalyze. If no, hold off. That could be early, it could be later for bigger effect, just... depends.

Alternatively get more catalyst. Or more other poison cards. Fumes is pretty good, but one upgraded crippling poison is 2-3 turns of it, basically the same for the base poison card or even more with flask. It's not super sexy with catalyst, more or less. Better for holding a poison count steady while you draw your catalyst(s) than actually pumping the count for the kill.

Dammit Mario, you've bought the plague to the Mushroom Kingdom!
a spin-off of a Mario game where you play as a character to get rid of the plague Mario unknowing.y brought to the Mushroom Kingdom sounds fun. A likely candidate for the player character might be Dr. E. Gadd
I mean, that obviously seems like a prompt for a shovel knight crossover starring Plague Knight.

Alternatively a darkest dungeon one with the plague doctor. In any case you need the beak if you're going to be doing that.

Folks don't seem to be sure. Quick check suggests it could be just when a cat doesn't have as much cover as they'd like -- it's a sign of them being conflicted over if they want to get closer or go ahead and pounce, and under better conditions they wouldn't be moving their tail like that. It could also be specifically to encourage prey to move, as they have an easier time jumping a moving target. It could also be simple maladaption for areas with less foliage (i.e. urban, etc.), with normal cat tail stuff being something that wouldn't be visible enough under other conditions to matter. There's other conjecture, too -- that it mesmerizes prey or that it's imitating other animals (snakes), ferex.

Basically though we don't actually seem to bloody know :V

Yeah, we were testing a cutting thing on a potato we didn't care enough about. Normal preservation I'm aware of, heh. Family's ate plenty of potatoes over the years, it's just vanishingly rare they sit uncooked for long enough for that to happen once they've been chopped up or whatev'. Cause, y'know, normally we just eat them.

Man, it turns out your country aggressively fucking up pandemic response to something several times deadlier than the flu makes you meow a bit, who knew :P

Nobody actually knows how deadly this shit is (this is not just me btw, this is the WHO position after you appretiate the nuances). But it doesnŽt seem as bad as youŽre making it out to be. YouŽll be fine.
I mean, I probably will be fine. I'm in my thirties with mild asthma at most. Lot of folks around me are in their 60-70s or older with pre-existing respiratory conditions. Scusey if me being probably okay isn't actually comforting ::)

I've learned new things about potatoes. Apparently if you cut up an uncooked potato, stick it in the fridge for a couple days, and then leave it out for a while it will blacken. Like, we've literally never wasted a potato like this my life so I've never seen it happen before. It's mildly terrifying, hahaha!

They've already been trying, check earlier in the thread :P

I... guess? Depends on how heavy the monitor is and how flimsy the laptop. Also if you actually care about the laptop still functioning or are just using it as a flat surface (I have a mostly broke but still sorta' working one I've been using as a mouse pad, ferex -- if it stops turning on, whatever, until then it's a stable flat surface on a bed).

It's probably not aggressively terrible so long as the LCD isn't cracking the laptop case or whatever, though. So, like. Go for it?

Though, again, if you're talking the US testing might be literally impossible to access even if you have every symptom, may put you back hundreds to thousands of dollars even if you can access it, and self-quarantine may be a fiscal catch-22, with you risking your job and every knock on effect of that resulting. So on and so forth. It's not so much people being dicks as our medical infrastructure and economic and governmental systems basically aggressively disincentivizing doing what's healthy personally or otherwise.

Like. It can't be overstated at this point. The U.S. is massively fucking up response to covid-19.

4122
Like, to give reference there, the flu hospitalization rate looks to be about 52 in 100,000; 0.052%. The hospitalization rate ( "severe" cases) for covid-19 is currently pegged at something like 20,000 in 100,000, 1 in 5, 20%, last I saw mention of it. That's subject to change as more information is actually collected, but this shit is not playing around.

So like. The course of care is similar? ICU, ventilation if it's bad enough, etc. But the rate of it being more or less necessary damn sure ain't, as near as we can tell so far.

4123
See, that's another thing. Why the hell are there so many cases without an observed vector? We've had a few cases in rural towns where the patient had never left the US and who doesn't know anybody who has, in addition to the isolation of rural living. It's doing me a concern that this can spread by some means we're not aware of.
I mean, we're not fucking testing people, dude. There's no observed vector in a lot of cases because we're not so much dropping the ball as spiking it straight into the fucking dirt.

Beyond that this shit doesn't need an unaware means of spread, the damn thing has basically everything a virus could want to spread with short of like tiny fucking jetpacks and GPS assist or some shit.

Interesting article, mostly on why biden has the minority support he does, written by a sanders supporter. Its contents tracked pretty well with what I've seen in my life, near as I can remember (Though there's a caveat that there basically aren't any progressive whites where I'm at that aren't pretty beat down one way or another, so...).

Oh man. Does disease healer or immunity protect from bane venom charm any? Cause that sounds like a hilariously upgraded BVC carrier over whatever those servant things were.
