Bernie bro's mostly just a pejorative for the more rabid members of bernie's support base, particularly the vocal (albeit thankfully small in reality, near as I can tell) minority that's heavy on the left wing economy but less so on the social side of things. Generally stereotyped as white, male, and fairly privileged, i.e. the so-called "brosocialist" sorts.

If you see someone super into bernie, especially his economic stuff, but occasionally going into rants about the evils of identity politics or intersectionality or somethin', you've probably found one. They're fortunately not actually representative of bernie's support base, they're just... loud, in some places.

Just so we're all clear: CIA Pete is a financial backer of the app they used for the caucus that both had an "error" and in which he massively overperformed all his polls and then falsely declared himself the winner in the middle of the night on national tv with 0% results reported.
Though to clarify that, bernie's numbers also seem to be supporting pete outperforming expectations pretty handily.

Oddities so far as that goes probably just boils down to the normal campaigning spending that went on, maybe with a side of being like the only non-geriatric still meaningfully running. Iirc pete sunk it into iowa pretty heavily.

As near as I've been able to tell, it's literally just a caucus being a caucus. I've come to the impression the word looks similar to circus for a reason :-\

I mean. At least they're staying in the same place moment to moment? Same page, even if you have to scroll. Just think, someone could get it into their galaxy brain that people want the UI elements to be inconsistent, and wander around the app from hour to hour. Then you not just have to scroll, but you're never sure how far you need to :P

But yeah, for whatever reason UI development has always been something of a mess. You'd think some parts would be simple and folks wouldn't fuck it up, but then you find out asking even that much is apparently too much of an ask.

I mean, it doesn't smell like "rat" so much as "caucus". They're usually a clusterfuck, this one just seems to be either worse than usual or people are paying more attention to how much of a clusterfuck it is.

Though if there's one bright side to this mess, I've woken up to some of the campaigns apparently saying this is the death knell for the iowa caucus, and it might actually be turned into a primary or something in the near future. This whole thing could have been avoided and done with quicker with a simple ranked choice or whatever ballot.

All chatter I'm picking up seems to be suggesting iowa is currently in a state of some kind of confusing recursive clusterfuck with no one quite sure what the hell's happening. Coin flips and pulling names out of hats are apparently getting involved.

Meanwhile I walk by the TV on the way to bed and there's people on it saying turnout is like, average at best.

Current mood: Let's just go to sleep and hope things make sense in the morning.

Orrrrrr we could make it so people can earn a decent living regardless of their career path, and then we would have a more healthy culture surrounding work and career education.

I 100% agree that the person with the useless degree should be able to earn a decent living from flipping burgers. But they should not expect to be reimbursed for choosing to get an education in a field with no prospects.
Plenty of people stuck like that do not, in fact, choose to go into a field with no prospects. They go into one that has prospects, often strong ones, and by the time the education finishes, the economy's fucked something sideways and what was a strong prospect suddenly isn't, or it still is but it's super hostile to low experience workers or something. Unfortunately, we also don't reimburse people for when market fluctuations fuck the value of their degree sideways during the last few months of acquiring it or whatever lol

It's culinary arts, silly people, if it's not more specialized. There's actually cooking degrees and schools. A graduate of one of those flipping frozen burgers in a fast food chain would be a more or less perfect example of underemployment :P

It is true the employment on USA has risen under The Emprah Tupee or it's just politician bulshit and number manipulation?

Like Folly said, it's technically true, but it's been almost continuously rising since early in the Obama administration.

Here's a graph of the US unemployment rate I googled.
More than that, the unemployment rate itself is generally pretty flawed. Most of measures of it don't, for example, measure the people that have just flat fucking gave up trying, nor does it measure underemployment rates (Like when you have someone with a master's degree flipping burgers) or a bunch of other stuff.

From what I understand the unemployment rate with junk along those lines factored in is something around double or worse what the official number is. US economy for the little guy is pretty shit in a lot of places.

Think this one was handcuffed (and belted in?) in the passenger seat of a patrol car?

I mean. Tens of millions of us didn't. Weather it.

Why livestream it?! I mean, yeah, it's a speedrun, but I don't see proper splits or a timer anywhere.
The timer's offsite, oddly enough. It's the death count, you see. The sooner they finish the sooner it (hopefully) slows down some...

It's an interesting format, really. Racing speedruns, while multiple other formats are simultaneously competing.

... like, seriousness of the situation aside, that might actually be kinda' interesting? Teams competing real time across multiple games contributing to a pooled score. Speedrun triathlon tournament or somethin'.

21.8 gigs, still. For whatever reason the last 5% of the update process didn't increase the size of the main folder. Just now occurred to me it might have increased things somewhere else, though...

Like, okay. There's a twenty gig hard drive footprint now. Not just for folks that bought into reforged. Fucking everyone. The client sucks up 1.5 gigs of ram doing fuckall, and loads like ass. You apparently have to log into bnet to do literally fucking anything. There's a play offline button, but it's greyed out. More than that I don't know. That login screen had me look at it for a few minutes, fiddle with the options a bit, and then quit in disgust. People are saying a bunch of shit doesn't work, the EULA for map creation is now a massive get-fucked to creators, there's no custom campaigns, no LAN, there's just... all sorts of shit. All equally inflicted on the non-reforged versions.

Just. To hell with this shit, yo'.
