Looking like it. Enjoy the economic down turn and hits to social services, please try not to splash the rest of the world as you sink yourself.

We didn't, the oceans left us. They'll be back, some day...

So long as it doesn't get too hot. Melted tape can be a complete arse to deal with. I can't tell what the hell that image is at all, so it's hard to eyeball if that's tape particularly suceptible to that, heh. Probably won't be a major issue, tho'.

It's a sequel to the post-apocalypse game that basically inspired the original Fallout, if that helps any. Supposed to be pretty alright, from what I can recall about reactions to it. Definitely going to pick it up later this afternoon, heh.

Casual dismissiveness of millennials is something we're entirely used to, though. Doesn't have the same sort of bite :P

From what google was saying, yeah. Not the specific term, but using meat to describe offline et al stuff, sure. Might not be the earliest of that sort of usage, but it'd be one of the earlier ones.

Meatspace is a turn of phrase that's been around for... decades, I'm pretty sure. Probably popped up not long after cyberspace, and especially immersive conceptualizations like shadowrun decking stuff, started showing up. Quick google check suggests early 90s or mid to late 80s. But yeah, it basically arose from/in response to cyberpunk fiction.

It really isn't, and hasn't particularly been that way for a good long while. Donors have influence and whatnot, but dems have been trying to cut into that general money pie for a while now. It's mostly just that conditions on the ground (GOP, conservadems, a lot that shit actually being legitimately unpopular to the US population, etc.) make getting stuff done on that front a small nightmare. Most of the democrat party establishment is pretty supportive of moving in that direction.

Yeah... far as I'm aware our only real aversion to other primates is that they apparently aren't the best meat in the world. Other than that, like with most things, if they're around people will eat them. I'd say around and won't kill you to eat, but... fugu. Conditionally deadly doesn't actually stop us. Availability is the major barrier, taboo a distant runner up when it even exists.

The sad thing is, if 40% of cops that abused their domestic partner were reported, it might actually be a better reporting rate the normal for domestic violence. Far as I can recall the percentages on reporting domestic violence are pretty fucking abysmal :-\

Um, probably any of the caster classes that have access to divinations? Dunno about more specific than that, but presumably much of any caster able to use applicable abilities could fit the role.

You. Do realize touching someone's leg can, actually, be sexual assault, right? Can we not minimize that sort of shit just because it isn't trump tier crotch grabbing? "Rather" ain't the right damn word, ree.

I've slept, not quite uninterrupted (was awake for maybe a combined 2 hours in there), but close to it, from about 10:30 pm last night until roughly now, around 4:20 pm the next day. Something approaching sixteen hours not-quite-straight? Still kinda' feel like taking a nap, too :-\

I doubt senate would convict, but I would say it's fairly likely the proceedings have a good bit of impact despite that. We'll just have to wait and see, more or less.

Bleh indeed. Call me when someone makes the same game without the clumsy control scheme, heh.

Though if the facing is at least mouse controlled that's not as bad as it could be. Probably wouldn't call it twin stick, tho'.
