More the former than the latter, if anything. Most stateside christians have met exactly zero muslims in their lives, too (especially in any way that actually indicates they're islamic), but that doesn't stop the more rabid ones from publicly calling for bombing muslim population centers.

That... that's definitely something. I get the feeling the CS rep did not consult IT before making that request.

Gods, I can't remember what it was, but I'm pretty sure I ran into something similar to that at one point, and got past it by cheating hard enough to beat whatever inflated numbers got slapped on the enemy in question anyway. That kind of thing can honestly be kinda' fun, heh.

Is there any evidence of Biden doing or agreeing to do something in exchange for money?
As far as anyone seems to be able to actually tell, no. Lots of screeching it exists followed by a completely unsurprising lack of actually producing it.

I'm getting burnt out by Crystal Clear lately- does Infinite Fusion have good postgame content too?  i mean, from the name and core mechanic I can't see how it wouldn't
I have no idea whatsoever; I currently haven't even gotten onboard SS Anne, and it mostly seems to be following-ish the gen 1 storyline, at least so far as pathing goes (the plot's notably different, but you're going more or less the same direction and stuff's happening around the same spots, so far). So I ain't exactly reached postgame content, heh.

E: Most I can note is that the world map you get fairly early covers Johto, Kanto, and Sevii, and from what I've seen of LP stuff the main storyline just treads gen 1 clay, so it presumably lets you keeps going for a while at a minimum.

E2: Though, uh, if you decide to look into it? It feels a little slow, movement/performance/etc. wise. Actually think it's fairly true to how things moved back in the old days of pokemon, but that was kinda' miserable so. Best suggestion? Point cheat engine at it. It's much smoother at 5x acceleration :P

You do occasionally see them praising sharia law (or at least its implementation, if not when it's referred to by that exact term, ha) or whatev', though.

Like, they want to glass every muslim country on the planet, but they're envious of some of the theocratic policy or practices seen in some of them. So some degree of envy, yes, it's just envy that's part of a generally genocidal sentiment, so...

There's a lot of folks out there who'd say their body is extremely ready to find cthulhu and its tentacles :P

The rest of us, I'unno, but some folks'd be all for it.

Best of luck to 'em, heh. Quick check says they're fighting for shit like just two goddamn weeks of parental leave (of which, so far, of the three companies involved only bloody ford has offered), nevermind everything else.

Dumbshits actually went for it, huh. My guess? It's not even going to reach the senate. If the idiot speaker had the votes to push it through, he'd have held one on opening the inquiry itself.

You could just as well be talking about Speaker Pelosi in September 2019. Formal vote for inquiry happened over 30 days later.
Context matters; as hec notes, McTwit spent a great deal of air screeching about that, and then turned around and did it himself.

Now, expecting basic consistency from a GOP politician, especially one as inept as the current speaker, is a fool's game far beyond the baseline state of a politician, but again. If the idiot had the votes, he'd have held one, if for no other reason than to not paint himself as a failure by his own words.

Playing a pokemon fangame (infinite fusion) and... it made the Bill encounter so, so much darker.

See, the basic premise of the game is you can fuse pokemon into all kinds of horrific abominations, but part of the basic conceit? You can split fused pokemon, and the component 'mon are, to all appearances, fine.

Unlike the base game, where Bill just transforms into a pokemon and comes back, in this one... he fuses with one. And when you un-fuse him? The pokemon he fused with is nowhere to be seen.

The implication that the dude basically just murdered a pokemon in the name of mad science is pretty stark. The general premise of the series is pretty sketchy and involves a lot of questionable consent of sophonts, but it usually kinda' dances around things, y'know? Not this time. Rhydon being used as an experimental subject is just frikkin' gone.

I mean, for older stuff... I still have a burnt copy of my old WC3 installation somewhere around here. Not the installation disc (though it's actually around here somewhere, too, for all I lost the key literally decades ago), just the install itself with instructions on how to rig the registry to recognize it appropriately. Worked the last time I bothered with it, too :V

Oh no, copyprotection is surprisingly effective. I tried to digitalise all my cds once, the cds from magazine no problems but original cd/dvd? No shot. Yeah maybe the adequate software is a sensitive topic, maybe search engine optimised off the map by bullshit... In any case I was not able to creat ISO of even really old games, like commandos or deus ex. It's not aomething easy to do nor is there an abundance of info.

I think the solution would not be half bad, sadly disks are dead, so I'll sooner see them introduce a new savemedium for DRM than have disks make a comeback.
Maybe it's harder nowadays? Back when I actually bothered with it (and, like, had a CD drive, ha), it was pretty trivial with multiple sorts of software. Everything I'm aware of regarding the emulation scene indicates it's still not that difficult to rip an ISO, ehehe.

Though so far as new mediums are concerned... it's possible to lock down a flash drive so you can't copy to or from it trivially, from what I understand. If they wanted to go with a USB compatible medium, there's probably something in that direction that could be ran with.

Folks seem weirdly unwilling to just package stuff on a USB for sale or whatever, though. Like, sure, they're a bit more expensive than a disk or pushing it online, but not hugely? I keep expecting to see them utilized as something other than personal/workplace data transfer but it just doesn't happen much.

Godot engine would like a word!
It's weird, the last thing I remember seeing about Godot is the devs of it saying it was a terrible engine that shouldn't be used, or something along those lines.

That said, Path of Achra's made on it, so it's got to have something going for it. PoA's rad as hell.

Temporal or mortal limitations are beyond the concern of covid conspiracies, dood. Someone being dead or the timeframe not matching doesn't stop that idiocy even a little. It's like how obama used his presidential powers to fuck up the response to katrina, y'know?

... frickin' hell, I could have swore gates died like half a decade ago or something. Apparently not. I guess he's been kinda' quiet the last few years?

But yeah, nothing sensible would come out of those three trying to regulate... well, I'd say AI, but you'd probably be more accurate going with "anything". Gates might manage the least terrible of the three, but least terrible isn't not terrible. M$ man, genocide enabler, and somehow the worst of the three, drugged-up-asshole-going-through-midlife-crisis sitting in a room isn't going to accomplish anything productive.

I really really wonder, how much pain it's worth, to go through all this nonsense instead of just selling CDs or whatever and letting whoever holds the CD play the game.
Eh... that hasn't been a meaningful DRM method since, like. Not quite ever, but pretty close to it? Lots of stuff doesn't even have DVD players built in these days, to boot, which mean you'd be stuck trying to do something with USB drives or somethin' if you didn't want to kneecap a lot of sales, which is even harder to lock down than old mediums.

Far as I'm aware most DRM methods aren't really net financial gains, in any case. It's one of those cases of corps being neurotic over being profit maximizers. There's lots of cases like that out there, heh.
