Checking vids, is it actually twinstick or more like astroids in terms of movement? Strafing et al doesn't seem to be a thing. It looks like the latter, and while it looks interesting I kinda' hate that movement schema with a passion :P

... wait, what? The shovel that gives you more relics over the course of a run is mostly useless? Card removal pipe is also serious mojo if you're going for a slim deck. I'd agree the dreamcatcher is mostly shite, but those other two are pretty golden.

Never been in one, dunno if I've even been in a state that has 'em. I'd recommend scoping the wikipedia page, though. They've apparently gotten a lot of media attention for being good to their employees. Sounds like they aim for relatively upscale consumers, for what that's worth.

Warren literally flipped parties in response to that sort of economic horseshit, so no, it couldn't be that. Sanders occasionally beats the nativist drum, so I could see him tripping over somethin', but if he has on that front I've missed it.

When did sanders backslide far enough to get into reganomics territory?

Unless he's flipped on pushing to nuke the filibuster and whatnot, you can expect him to get done roughly "fuck" and "all", especially if the US doesn't give the dems a crushing majority in both house and senate. Which it's sadly unlikely to :-\

Him being a geriatric that's been ossifying inside congress for decades has its problems, unfortunately. Still better than trump, but so's the last thing I flushed down a toilet. Probably better than senior "I suck people's fingers in front a crowd" biden, too, but... not the highest bar to pass, there, either. Though it does look like quite a lot of the democrat primary electorate doesn't quite agree with that one.

Plenty want to believe more or less the opposite of that, too, though, and will reject any proof otherwise as lies, with similar confusion. This causes its own problems, and least from what I've seen largely worse ones. If you think the folks in power have no basic decency or standards, you won't hold fuckers accountable who actually don't. GOP in the US is basically case in bloody point for that.

Unrelated random thought, what if we programmed an AI, and had it watch the brain activity of various humans throughout say, a college campus? To learn about the way humans think?
Biggest hat trick I can think of with that would be getting the whatever the brain activity data. If we have particularly portable devices capable of getting decent neural activity reads I don't think I've heard of it, and a quick google check suggests a: we don't, and b: the closest we have to it looks like stuff straight out of a sci-fi b-movie. Your second hat trick would be convincing dozens of people to wear the things for an extended period, and then figure out how to adjust your input for dealing with people walking around with giant spiky full face helmets on. Then there's just... other stuff. How much it could figure out thinking versus just brain activity, how to make sure the AI doesn't have pre-programmed biases, so on, so forth.

It's an experiment we'll probably see at some point, but not likely to be anytime soon. The logistics alone is a wall currently impossible to climb over.

*flails about* have now seen the other (?, there may be more than two) ending for God of the Fallen Land. Once again, game basically goddamn nails the theme it's going for, a sort of creeping corruption siege that slowly worsens until the very end where you're only barely hanging on as you hit the victory condition. Like, I'm not sure how much replay value it's going to have, but it's easily one of the best designed games I think I've ever played in regards to theme, general aesthetic, pacing and so forth. I don't know how intentional it all is but regardless it's stupidly fucking good in myriad ways, especially for its price.

I'm not saying glaze the pork with cinnamon frosting

But I'm not saying don't, either.

... though I can't remember if it was actually frosting i glazed that ham with or not. It was something sweet with cinnamon added, in any case. Did something similar with a roast once. Fruit was involved in the roasting.

Today I have put honeyed pepperoni (among other things) into mac and cheese. On the one hand, it's pretty good. On the other, what am I doing with my life.

I'm just wondering how someone confused bar protection with what sounds like magical roofies. Did they fail at the protection or the date rape, here?

Sweet hell the boss fights in Gods of the Fallen Land are goddamn amazing. Seriously, if you got like five bucks drop it on that game because there is a five dollar payoff in those alone, nevermind the rest of it. I'm having like a tiny gaming orgasm or something coming out of those fights :D
