Do you actually have any sources for these claims?
I could not find any statistics in a quick search, but I had been under the impression for a while now that unlimited data was very much the standard for home internet in most densely populated areas.
I also would not expect the bandwidth usage of streaming services to be as 'crazy' as you describe.
Can't be arsed to dig up where, but I've seen statement that stadia's bandwidth usage is about on par with netflix. Bit more, maybe, but not to a huge degree. Bandwidth isn't likely to be a huge issue outside of folks that are data capped, basically. Latency et al is the bigger damnation, there.

Bloom's a several times over multimillionaire. He doesn't really need anyone else's money. Folks'd probably be willing to funnel some his campaign's way anyway, even if the DNC's like, "Yeah, we're not helping." Again, being able to funnel money around what little restrictions we have on campaigning isn't a small thing, and candidates get preferential treatment in some ways. An officially running non-candidate has its attractions.

Veterinarians euthanize animals that have no chance of being cured, yet humans with no chance of being cured can’t choose to be euthanized.
Human euthanasia's actually legal in some places in the world, iirc. Doctor assisted suicide. There's been plenty of hullabaloo on the subject in the US over the years, and some places have had it go legal under certain circumstances. There's also pulling the plug on life support, do not resuscitate orders, etc. It's a pretty complicated issue.

E: Finally looked up the actual name of the lone ranger theme song. Alas, poor march of the swiss soldiers, generations know you as nothing except that theme song.

For what it's worth, I've heard suggestion that Bloomberg isn't running to win, but because the advertising and whatnot rules for candidates are a lot looser (and cheaper, for that matter) than for some other organizations. Seems that a fair amount of what he's doing so far isn't specific to playing himself up, but is instead more generic leftwing stuff or anti-GOP junk. So it's possible it's not an actual presidential run, but rather an end-run around some of the limitations put on non-candidates.

Everything I've been hearing so far sounds like the launch is basically a gigantic clusterfuck, yeah. Notable and inconsistent lag even for people with solid connections, shallow (largely old-ish) game catalog that's substantially very much hostile to input delay, lots of features being said to come later, etc., etc., etc.

It's also notable that the fellow heading it has apparently sequentially flubbed project launches several times, with stadia just another not-exactly-feather in his cap.

Basically it doesn't sound to be going great.

Personally, I'm leery as fuck of streaming game services like stadia for similar reasons I'm leery of a lot of mmos or otherwise online-only services, so I'm... not exactly saddened by the development :P

Mine went to descartes, and the 'net shorthand he somehow became for dick. Love the D, park rangers. Trump only loves it if it's tattooed in cyrillic, tho'. I'unno how much common ground they'll find on that front.

dats Oblivion right?

Skyrim, but it barely feels like a Skyrim game. It has a traditional xp-to-level system, entirely different subject matter, a unique fast travel system that isn't from your map (Mark/Return make a comeback)....

Cannot recommend it enough. Just got through a segment that had some of the best voice acting I've ever seen, including professionally made games.
I was like, nah, nehrim's the oblivion one, the I look and it turns out this enderal is the same folks that did nehrim. I'll have to look into it, nehrim was pretty great and I've had skyrim for a while now without ever actually starting it up.

Arts are involved with some of that getting shit done, tho'. Presentation is important on multiple levels even in regards to raw functionality, nevermind actual competition that heavily involves marketing and whatnot, or organization in general with the communication involved, etc., so forth, so on. If you're intending to go for 'get shit done' not including the arts is probably kneecapping yourself before you even start running.

No clue if that's the angle this not!steam steam thing is aiming for, though. I haven't paid much attention to it besides recognizing it exists, confusing steam!steam for it, and sympathizing with kids that are probably equally confused and notably more disappointed.

There is apparently a movement to change STEM to STEAM, adding arts to the rest of it. I can only imagine the confusion and disappointment this is causing students, though. It's certainly making me double take irritatingly often, wondering what the hell valve's getting up to this time that steam schools are being built, or what galaxy brain decided a mobile steam device for toddlers was a good idea, and so on.

Have had the smell of maple and brown sugar instant oatmeal stuck in my nose for like the last eight hours or so.

Like, it's not a bad thing -- would all of my days smell basically like pancakes -- but it's definitely somewhat disconcerting.

*raises finger* wasn't dark age of camelot from like the 90s or early 00s? I mean, it'd still be more than a year, but.

Finally got around to updating steam. Yup, that looks like ass. Gods alive I hope they have a revert/skin option at some point in the near future.
