I'm deeply saddened that bigger zam doesn't have a higher credit value than big zam. So much for truth in advertising :-\

YOU WOULDNT STEAL AN 800 OLD GOTHIC TRIPTYQUE TO MAKE A PERFECTLY ACCURATE FAC-SIMILE, WOULD YOU?!
I would, and I'd download a car, too.

... do my best to keep the old thing in good shape during the digitalization process, though. Folks are getting better at that, these days.

Merzbow -- Aqua Necromancer. It's like waves on the beach by way of fornicating industrial machinery. also it's noise music, so probably start with the volume low just sayin'

Hit & Run (Wolfgang Lohr Remix). Something completely different! Electroswing, it's pretty nice.

I think that's the name of the stuff TB's twisty things came from, sure. I'm not sure I'd actually call TB's whatever they are churros, though. Like, I've had fairly close to authentic/home-made/whatever churros before and there's no similarity outside of ingredients in a very general sense.

Yeah, the dryness you basically have to suck on them for a bit, let them soften that way. Just crunching them is extra meh on top of meh. It's cheapass food solution to sweetness, too, so yeah it's kinda' excessive on that front. You take it slow, basically like nursing leftover ice cubes in a drink.

They're okay, though. Not good, just not inedibly terrible.

E: Though to your edit, cinnamon itself isn't really super sweet, or particularly sweet in and of itself much at all. It's a pretty good spice specifically for folks not particularly into sweet stuff. In this case (most cinnamon usage situations, really, sadly) they just pile on a stupid amount of sugar to go with it, so... yeah.

Their little twisty cinnamon/sugar things are okay-ish. Not even in the same ballpark area code as proper whatever-they're-called, but okay. Pretty close to literally the only thing I'll consume off their menu, though, now that I've stopped drinking most sodas.

Your friends are pretty good at gay pirate chic. You should keep them around.

... also the angle on those skull and crossbones nipple stickers bothers me for some reason. It's like they're tilted wrong but I can't tell why. Might just be the picture, I'unno.

He has no particular power to enforce such an order, no. Trying might actually get him slapped down by congress, assuming panicking rich people can pull their GOP puppets out of his ass long enough to do so.

Finally got around to changing the lightbulb in my room. Thing's been out since like... march. Promptly turned it off after making sure it worked, but it still feels weird to have a working light in the room again.

To be honest I'm more surprised that people don't know Anne McCaffrey/Pern. It's not really recent, but it's well known.
I mean, fairness where it's due, if they're not much of a sf/f reader it's fairly understandable? I had no idea who Zane Grey was until like last week, ferex, and a year ago my response to Nora Roberts would have been, "Who?" Or James Patterson, for that matter, and that blighter is like the best selling author, period.

I mean, stuff like raise dead traps have an obvious solution, so to speak, so far as fairness goes. Just make them need corpses and have the corpses laying around. Summoning stuff in general could have similar 'props' that give indication you're about to walk into something even if not specifically what it is. Maybe even offer a means to mitigate things -- seeing a room full of corpses you didn't put there and tossing in a fireball to clear it out (or gift yourself a passel of flaming undead, ether/or) would be a neat interaction. Smashing a glowing blue crystal to disarm the water elemental summoning trap (or maybe flood the room, who knows), stuff like that.

No-tell traps could be particularly high level (or low danger) junk, regulated to real nasty areas or somethin'.
