Just think, another handful of years and the potential answer to that question will be "one", and not because most of them died. I don't think people spend much time thinking about the new venues of incest that medical science is opening. We're in an era that either already can or isn't far away from being able to inflict genetic selfcest on our children, if someone's crazy enough to want it and rich enough to afford the doctors that'll go through with letting them impregnate themself. The future is...  is.

Fuck you muscle memory :'(

Reached for a pan my grandmother had been baking something in the oven on. A pan with a metal handle. That was still in oven. With my bare hand.

It didn't last long but there's like a line of blisters forming on my left hand's fingers right now. Ow.

The extra fucked up thing is I opened the friggin' over with a mitt on, but for some reason took it off and forgot the concept of cause and effect between doing that and getting the thing out the oven.

Ever had hot chocolate with a dash of cayenne powder? Pseudo-Aztec style.
Cayenne powder, no. Cinnamon, yes. Is good. Good for chocolate milk, too.

I guess it's that remake thing that was supposed to come out at some point or another (probably years ago but whatever)?

Yeah, spelljammer has magic sea-going vessels (mostly) sailing between crystalline spheres (which had planets or whatever inside) kinda' things. Not necessarily different dimensions, iirc, but close enough in concept to match. Similar fiction plays around with star-gate sorta' stuff or magic equivalent of wormholes, sometimes doing stuff like ripping off chunks of planets/dimensions and chucking them into the distance. And then you have, y'know. Nanoha, which goes high level magi-tek style nonsense. There's all sorts of stuff to play with, heh.

Though depending on the setting dealing with barren planets can be pretty easy, if perhaps riskier. Just rip open a hole to a hell dimension or a few elemental planes or somethin' and clean up the mess once it's done infesting the planet :P

...also yeah some sort of galaxy scale arcanum 4x could be friggin' crazy interesting. Especially the interplay between magic and tech lean, writ solar system plus scale.

You try drinking hot tea when it's 40C all day long.
It actually kinda' works out. The hot drink makes the ambient temperature feel less noticeable. I've done hot chocolate in the middle of florida summer pretty cheerfully a few times over the years. Fairly refreshing, all things considered.

And in something approaching actual news, unscheduled absenteeism for TSA workers has roughly tripled compared to last year. From around 3% to 10%, many citing financial limitations as their reason for being unable to make it to work.

Oh c'mon, we can one-up southern sweet tea. It's even pretty easy! Instead of boiling water to make it, boil soda. Mountain dew is a good base.

If you even wanted to taste molten sugar, that's probably your best bet that doesn't involve literally melting sugar with pure heat. Extra bonus points, unless you go for decaf it's massively caffeinated, too!

The obvious solution to this whole issue is to replace every possibly offensive word with "Aladeen" that way nobody can ever claim outrage or triggering or whatever because they can never be sure which of the fifty billion possible offensive meanings was intended.
I mean, if you're going that route just use fuck. It's already more or less the most versatile word in the English language, so using it as a replacement for all other sorts of offensive vocabulary leaves you with intelligible sentences and straightforward vulgarity. Win-win.

Anyway large cities are not conducive to child rearing, as they generally require people to spend all their time making rent instead of having relationships. IMO, that is.
Ha. No, shit's poor as fuck out here outside the cities. Spending all your time making rent is as much or more (see folks that travel for work stints, spending weeks or months away from home at a time) of a thing as in cities, on top of there being less people to potentially help out and less shit to do. It's pretty much a wash so far as that particular subject goes, or even worse on average. Different problems, but generally no less of 'em.

... man, I can't help but be immediately disappointed they went sci-fi instead of spelljammer/explicit fantasy-in-space. There's like bloody no interplanetary magic-y stuff out there, far as I've noticed.

It'll probably be pretty decent, but... still. Still.

I mean, not just impeachable. Criminal, too.

It is, to be sure, but impeachability's the more immediately relevant standard given the impossibility of indicting a sitting president.
The untested and pretty certainly untrue "impossibility" that was pulled out of the ass of Nixon, who subsequently didn't have the balls (or had enough brains to not try) to go through with it. That was kinda' pissed on by the republican treatment of clinton, t'boot.

Given the state of the GOP I'd say it's relatively more likely we see indictment before we see impeachment.* There's sod all chance they go through with the latter even if criminal charges are landed, but there's plenty chance someone else (states, house investigations) digs up the reproductive fortitude to go through with the former and the SCOTUS lets it happen.

* Though unfortunately more likely than both we end up stuck with the shitgibbon until the sitting part goes away in 2020/2021, whereupon he promptly (as legal proceedings go) gets buried in criminal charges.
