... I mean, you can, you just have to avoid say newer games or whatever.

did you know the entire NES game library, or near enough to it it doesn't matter, only weighs in at around 192 megs compressed? Because it does. Something like over 1600 games, all for less than a fifth of a gig

heckalot is relative~

Which is to say only the first of the three when writing english. Everything else earns a free bottleshank to the kidneys.

I'd... hope any scissoring involved wouldn't be sharp, honestly...

... any case, I just figured the cousin's bi and their wife isn't. Would make the phrasing make more or less perfect sense.

More specifically, it's less American English in general and more like the Appalachians or somethin', iirc. Southern drawl, more or less.

One of the books we pulled out of a box of donations today was 130 years old. Printed in 1888. Stupidly good condition for a book over a century old, too.

... don't remember what the title was, though. Wasn't paying much attention to that, ehehe.

The catchphrase I keep hearing today seems to be 'The grownups are all gone from the White House'. It seems that Mattis was viewed as the last responsible person capable of reigning in Trump.
With questionable accuracy, unfortunately. There hasn't really been much to substantiate the idea (that mattis was able and/or willing to reign in trump) from what I've noticed.

... that said, trump's favorability with the military, or at the absolute least the marines, is probably about to tank to some degree, yes. Which is a minor upshot, I guess.

I mean, you have a couple that would suffice with a bit of effort and a great deal of willpower.

My name is unisex but also was a girl's name primarily while growing up. I was very large and therefore did not get made fun of, but still.
Hey, me too. Except I wasn't large. Never really had much trouble on that front, though. Mild violence seemed to cut most of that off before it really started...

New computer. Halfway through the next day (today), the old computer has been turned into a mousepad. By the end of the day it experiences an upgrade to mousepad plus paperweight.

... I probably should be treating this thing with a bit more... dignity or somethin'. It mostly still works! It's just... it was there, stuck to the new computer with a lan cord after doing transfer-y stuff. Within easy reach. With a good sized flat surface available. Plus it's decently weighty.

Laptops make for weirdly multi-talented paperweights if you're not using it as a computer is all I'm saying.

WTF:  I'm playing Stellaris as the Lok, and just realized how similar that is to the Lok'Narr allies in X-Piratez I've also been playing.

Also, listening to Terranigma's Magic Shop Theme and trying to remember what actually *happened* in that game when I played it over a decade ago.  I basically guided the the planet through each "age" of existence, from the survival of primordial life to a human technocracy, at the behest of a weird bat-oni.  Wielding a spear, because Jesus parallels yo.  But there were so many characters, and I really don't remember what happened at the end.  I know it all started in a quaint village, on the in-side of the hollow planet...
Just sayin' here, but the game's held up pretty decently to age. If you want to remember you can always play through it again~

Think the most, uh. Most something. Pathetic? Pathetic's good. Thing about that so far is that folks have identified what looks to have been trump embezzling a whole seven goddamn dollars from the charity to pay for one of his kids boy scout related fees.

S'just, like. Damn man, can't you just pull a ten out your friggin' pocket instead of breaking the law? Is this shit really that difficult?

New computer runs desmume like mfing silk. Plus runs stuff that just flat wouldn't on my now-older machine. I'm experiencing things I've never experienced before. It's nice. Tomorrow's a short day at work, too, with nothing slated after except washing clothes, and christmas off-days coming soon.

... having a sneaking suspicion it's going to be real hard to not fuck over my sleep schedule over the course of the next couple weeks. As problems to have go there's worse ones~

... yeah, ended up saying screw it and going with the lenovo mentioned. Came in today. My initial unboxing/beginning-debloat impressions are

A: I can work with this and
B: Whoever decided this touchpad was a good idea needs to be shot. Out a cannon, with a cannon, I dunno, something. Most touchpad design separates the mouse buttons from the main pad for a gorram reason.

Going to need a mouse. Sorta' have one but it doesn't work well. Maybe a keyboard, too. Input ergonomics on this thing are kinda' non-standard and janky.

It is assuming the receiver even owns a screen that has the some-random-internet-person-decks-your-face function.  Most people that truly deserve it are not likely to be techsavvy enough to know such a pricey high-tech item exists.
Oh no, no. This is more punching candygram instead of singing, rather than something fancy like a punch-in-a-box computer monitor.

They wouldn't need a screen with a facepunch function, they'd just need an address you're aware of and a willingness to open the door when it's knocked on. ... and hopefully no housemates to be confused for them...

... honestly, it'd be more or less putting out a (probably) non-fatal hit on someone.

I did say metaphorically....
Just reach through your screen and punch them through the internet.
Makes me wonder how illegal a service that would be, honestly. Like those singing telegrams or whatev', except instead of a cheesy tune it's a right hook. It'd have to be illegal unless there's some really tortured contract work going on, but... still. There might be a market, there. Deck by mail.
