Unless it's changed from d4, I don't think you can research in an ally's lab.

That said, you can have allies build things (and then cede the province (back) to you, if d5 didn't simplify that), allowing you to sidestep extra costs or take advantage of discounts. It just takes a bit of sometimes-fiddly micromanagement.

... any case, it's mostly attachments or the occasional double-seater or whatev', last I noticed. Not really that complicated.

Yeah, you generally didn't screw with docwagon in general and the upper level ones specifically. They tended to be heavily armed, which isn't exactly surprising for rapid-response mostly!urban probably!combat ambulance/medic work in a cyberpunk setting with extra magicy critters.

I'm pretty sure you could run a mixed natgen/vanilla nation game, though, if you felt like it. Nothing else you could just jam the vanilla nations into the natgen mess.

... actually, that sounds vaguely interesting. Disciples game, either nation gen vs. vanilla or one gets gods and the other gets disciples. Could be neat.

E: Hell, as theme games go, all the gods having to be a vanilla nation rolling with the Mother of Monsters (or similarly natured pretender) and all the disciples being natgen creations (probably heavily tilted towards weirder stuff) would be like way too on point. Someone should do that.

Yeah, I saw that. DeSantis's campaign says that he obviously meant 'making a wrong choice', but didn't say anything about poor choice of words.

Not surprised to hear such rhetoric from a Republican, especially one embracing Trump to the degree DeSantis is.
Yeeaah, I hadn't started the day wanting to how the GOP nom could further reduce my already negative respect for 'im, but life gives you little surprises like racist fuckwit jibberjabber from a governor candidate whether you want it or not.

Really wish I had the energy (and time, since stumping for black guy in this shithole would probably be riskier than I could afford, so I'd want to do it somewhere else and that means travel) to campaign, bleh.

Sure, it's worth it.

Did you mean Master of Magic? It's Civilisation, with fantasy races, magic spells, a huge host of enemies and special heroes. One of my favorites of all time, go early. Infinite replayability, very difficult. Global spells count as "wonders" and a mirror/upside down plane as well. Great game.
It's belated, but no, I specifically meant Master of Mana, which is a Civ 4/Fall From Heaven mod that's pretty great imo. Folks here at B12 tooled around with MP games a couple times, iirc. There's actually a bit of a LP here on B12, though it kinda' looks like some/all of the pics are dead.

You're not wrong, but getting them up to a sufficient velocity and repairing the wall afterwards is a hassle. Vet bill and animal abuse charges if the cat survives also sucks. Mess all around, really. Friends don't let friends wallclip cats.

Oh neat(?). News was actually noting the american death toll from those last hurricanes is over 3k.

... though the quick pass I noticed didn't seem to acknowledge where or why, but baby steps, I guess.

They have less patience. It's skritches or you get the inspector gadget villain cosplay to the nearest available limb.

I think the whole Virtual Youtuber craze has gone a bit too far: Introducing Virtual Abused Housewife Reiko.

I don't know what's more wtf, that this is a thing, or that she already has 25,000 subscribers after a single ~3 minute video.
Definitely the number of subscribers. The existence isn't particularly surprising, that so little content got that much response is more odd.

General Discussion / Re: Youtube "Duplication": End of rope reached
« on: August 27, 2018, 09:40:50 pm »
Duplicate content seems to refer to having multiple videos that are largely or entirely identical, going by an idle google check. Filching someone else's content would probably involve notably stronger words, heh.

Further idle checking suggests you might check some of the comments here for possible causes. One of them links here for some possible tips on how to avoid the issue.

Apparently what counted as duplicate content broadened or somethin' in the last few months, and it's been catching a goodly number of folks off guard, yeah. You'd have to dig through their terms of service stuff for more detail. Don't ask me how to solve it, though. Lazy google searching is the extent of my familiarity with youtube's content policies.

Not sure if it's considered an actual sale, as it's not listed as a sale price, but The Last Remnant is down to $10 for the next week or so before it disappears from the store forever.
It's apparently the normal price. That said, it's a pretty alright game and ten bucks wouldn't be much, if any, of a waste for it. Had it for a while but it runs like ass on my machine, unfortunately.

Still, distinctly remember the initial story-bits being unintentionally(?) hilarious. The folks you first encounter seem pointed villain material, on top of plainly thinking (correctly) your protag is a bit of an idiot. Some fun bits of character interaction, really.

I'd assume it was more a europol thing... or (one of) the religion thread(s). Considering the general lack of importance of the pope for the U.S., even its catholics, it's probably not that relevant.

Unless the latest mess has specifically involved stateside politics, I guess, and the last thing I heard that could be related to that didn't seem to have much to do with the papacy itself so much as the general abuse-prone nature of church organization.

I have a hard time getting to sleep normally, and I've found that ASMR really helps me relax and drift off.
You might want to check out sbagen, if you get a chance and don't want to deal with youtube et al. Similar concept, free, no ads, etc. It's nice.

...just probably don't want to start with the volume full blast. Stuff's intended to be played fairly low.
