Except he basically didn't. Times he actually stopped moving in lockstep was real damn rare. Bit more willing to talk crossways the party and play up the maverick bullshit, but talk was about it barring few exception.

Guy talked a better game than a good bit of his party in some ways, but he was still pretty staunchly GOP with all that entailed. Folks would be pretty well served not to forget that just 'cause he died pretty horribly and had some memorable moments of pageantry and just-friggin'-barely-existent attacks of something vaguely resembling conscience.

Y'know, it's actually started mildly bugging me, the whole "lowest form of wit" thing. Critter might be trying to damn it with faint praise, but it's still admitting it's wit. Lowest form's still a form.

The irony of you making that joke is that the price-fixed hearing aid "industry" is complete WTFery.
That would be part of the joke, yes.

E: it's okay, ree. It's not just you, you poor blighters. Apparently hearing has more color blind equivalents than I was aware of.

As an american, the t in that can't is is NOT clearly audible. Some americans, a minority really, really do pronounce t differently. Here's some examples, though I pronounce the t in all the 4.1 examples.
I take back the statement on hearing care :P

Also apparently hearing care is the one area of healthcare we do well in!

... which is amazing considering near as I've noticed we barely touch the stuff and people will stubbornly refuse to wear hearing aids even when they badly need them. Maybe it's something in the water that's not deadly, for once...?

Uh, yeah, the t is clearly audible. Similarly even in hicksvilles stateside even the drunks pronounce the t in batman.

... maybe time for a hearing check, ree?

Yeah, it's pretty insane how willing people are to Rob Peter To Pay Paul when it comes to Trump. Like they can't see how it is a null sum loss according to their own values. Yeah, sure, the guy you voted for doesn't murder babies. But he holds nothing sacred except money, so how is that somehow better?
There's multiple thousands of corpses in Puerto Rico alone that almost certainly wouldn't have been there had the shitgibbon not became POTUS, children among them, that disagrees on the murders babies bit. Just as an idle start. GOP may be against abortion but they'll get behind baby murdering real damn quick, the nation sabotaging bastards.

Haven't tried it, but I've been watching gameplay vids off and on. It does look interesting, and it's been tempting me. Also yeah the aesthetics are pretty on point.

... that said, if I ever do get around to playing it step 1 will be pointing cheat engine at it and freezing the stamina bar at full. It looks like it'd be notably more enjoyable without having to deal with that, heh.

I can not support this because that looks like she's supposed to be a dwarf girl but someone has mangled her face. Shaven female dwarf=garbage.
Just close your eyes and insist she's a very confused halfling.

Natural blueprints are generally sodding terribly optimized, tho'. They're like the literal incarnation of if-it-ain't-broke-enough-don't-fix-it, with a side order of GIGO, RNG-hell, and an entire QA industry's worth of shitty bug testing efforts. Like, it's the actual pile of random, potentially useful stuff we'd be hypothetically discarding for nicely optimized replacements, not the other way around.

There's all sorts of reasons to want to keep around biodiversity and rummage through nature-y stuff humans haven't screwed with much for junk to steal, but... yeah. Nature is not good at engineering or optimization, it's just been throwing shit at the wall for much longer than we have and doesn't care if the results dies, so it has some novelty, here and there.

... it's probably worth noting most of the useful stuff we can still yoink out of its squishy bits, we're primarily interested in to fix how much of a biological clusterfuck we are. Nature is not good at any particular job, it's just had literal millions of years to be shit at things. The original Shakespearean typing monkey, save it's less Shakespeare and more tenpenny bodice ripper schlock and now we're stuck trying to edit that shit so we die less.

It's the resin we exist, apearantly.

Cohen's also pled guilty in a way that conspiracy charges pretty necessarily follow, far as I've been able to parse, so far. Unless there's some other political candidate he broke campaign law at the direction of, or cohen was basically slitting his own throat by lying under oath, there's at-minimum one crime trump's now cleanly on the hook for.

Now, republican congresscritters being the immoral shitbags they are, that might not necessarily increase the near-future chances of impeachment, but it's another bit of ammo for both that and the midterms. On top of everything else falling out from the last few days. Every little bit helps.

Been giving them space for decades, nenj. Ain't been working too hot, really. Younger people have been changing, but only so much the rest.

Couldn't really say if it's the best way to go, but stopping that and lettin' folks either own up to their shit or fuck off definitely seems more viable, these days. Majority-minority in my lifetime~

Moving the fuck on largely consists of motivating demographics that aren't that particular lot, though. The thing about that entrenched rabid right is that it's not widening, and thanks to the racist fuckjobbery the American right-wing embraces, it's not bloody going to.

It wasn't arrogance or leftwing partisanship that got us here, frankly. It was rightwing malfeasance and leftwing apathy brought about in part by literal foreign intervention. If getting some cheap shots in on those that supported the former helps mitigate the latter, it's probably a good move.
