Eh, Naruto world has genetic engineering tech and whatnot, never mind the fairly legit possibility inbreeding doesn't really work for ninja genetics to begin with. The setting could probably get away with Greebo level hijinks (which is to say a father impregnating successive daughters) causing no problems if they particularly felt like it.

... man, I was speaking about tone of voice and whatnot. It's not word choice that came off as unhinged, it was how the guy said it. Like, recently, I've heard that same sort of intonation come out of elderly who are displaying alzheimer's symptoms when they're particularly distressed/confused.

To be fair, that also describes anyone who studies ethics.
It really goddamn doesn't.

Throwing out buzzwords in asspull attempt #N+1, looks like. Tis the formulation of someone who doesn't have much exposure to ethics (and is probably under the effect of cognitive deterioration to some degree) trying to sound fancy as they defend nonsense.

Oh hey, another Trumper is coming up with weird shit around truths. This time is was Giuliani saying “truth isn’t truth” in an interview regarding Trump talking to the Mueller investigation.
Man, I'd heard about it yesterday or somethin', but actually heard the statement a few minutes ago. Guy sounded legitimately unhinged when he said that. Like damn.

Which is mildly odd. I think the closest I've ever had a live dragonfly come to actually touching me was when I nailed one mid-flight with a walking stick. The swing was intentional but the hit was utterly accidental.

They're usually pretty avoidant around these parts.

Probably not the only one, no. There's always someone out there that unironically ships any given shipping combination. Sometimes you have to enlighten them as to its existence, but eh.

Be mildly amusing if the only difference between normal and special was the name and the price tag. It describes not the meal, but the customer :P

E: ... now I kinda' want to see a restaurant blatantly have a swindler's line of food, to see how many people buy it. Explicitly called stuff like Swindler's Stew, it's nothing but some other food you prepare with a different name/swindler prefix and higher price.

I want civ, but high fantasy. I get that I could mod it, but also I don't want to see "The dwarves have constructed the statue of liberty"
Civ 4 has a host of those, mostly derived from the Fall from Heaven line. Pretty fond of Master of Mana, personally, last I tooled around with it.

A raise of the 5900% on the minimum wage to crush inflation.... You gotta be fucking kidding me...

It's okay, its alright, the cameramen can come out now, the joke was fine and all but this is too much. Please tell me this is some kind of Truman show about screwing with me for 31 years to culminate on this joke.
Like... who's recommending that, and what's the currency? Multiplying the minimum wage by fifty-nine times is pretty substantial, but could maybe be vaguely reasonable under sufficiently extreme situations. 590% would probably be actually arguable, if still pretty hefty.

Stateside the highest I've seen with much seriousness is still sub 200% (the fifteen dollar thing, which is less than double the current minimum), but that can still sound really high if you're lacking context.

May you get ate by seven mimes for that.

The effect's fun. Mad Scientist mod had it before it was introduced to the base game, albeit class instead of generic.

Can kinda' screw you if you have the wrong cards in your deck (mass exhaust or discard, self damaging stuff, etc.), but generally there's not many situations where playing a more or less random card is going to hurt you.

Knowing what card is coming isn't necessarily particularly helpful, though. You also would need to be able to manipulate it, to get much control over the effect. Which ain't impossible, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth.

I've become fond of a dark brown background with orange text, personally. Sorta' halloween themed. Used to default to dark blue and light grey. The less white there is on my screen the happier my eyes are.

Proper.

The white colour scheme hurts my eyes. The dark one doesn't. Simple as that.
