Name of the thing's right there in the post :P

It is indeed not a game, though. Tis wrote.

E: Go figure, some time after that I'm poking into something called valhalla saga, and round 2 fight for the poor MC looks to be involving literally catapulting him and his immediate allies into an enemy fortification. Did this become some kind of common thing and I missed it?

... because if so, good. It's generally somewhere between amusing and hilarious :V

Here we go. Best plan. Send new (conscripted) recruits off to kill monster infestation. Step 1: Teleport them several hundred/thousand feet into the air to make an impromptu KKV bombardment out of their effectively unarmored, flightless, bodies *both thumbs up*

Paradropping sans para is one way to thin the field, I guess...?

This sovereign of justice thing is fairly sketchy so far, but this bit was a pretty solid ding on the ol' absurdometer.

Nn... yeah, if lan works hamachi probably does, too. Think there's a few other things that works off a similar mechanic (gameranger?), as well.

... no. No relation. I think. Maybe.

Didn't know that existed before now, actually. But no, isn't that.

That feeling where the first named character you encounter in a written work is "Dong Dong".

I get it, world, it's a translation thing. But... still.

Trembling World is the work. No clue if it's worth a damn, yet, Dong Dong was like two paragraphs in and just before the apparent rain of blood.

Uh... huh. So apparently manafort's defense team has decided to call no witnesses and present no case. Seems like they pretty much immediately rested when their go was up. Interesting choice...?

Patlabor is probably in that general area of things too, innit? I've never actually watched it, but it has giant robots and I seem to recall it being police related.

... also checking says it was apparently one of the influences for Pacific Rim (which I also haven't watched ahaha) so hey.

Vegetables are good, you picky nerds.
Man, I wish it was just being picky. I've been fed veggies cooked by real ruddy good cooks, that everyone else involved said tasted great, and they tasted literally vomit inducingly bad to me. More than once, with a spread of different vegetables. They are good, by all accounts, they just universally taste loving horrific to me :-\

Happy thread, though! Last few years I've finally managed to mostly build a tolerance for onion powder. It's an improvement! Previously onion anything was like a culinary original sin, tainting any dish touched by it unto the dozenth generation. Now onion powder is largely tolerable, notably increasing the amount of foods that don't make me ill~

Benefits be plenty of stuff, but we have pills for most of it, these days. Which is good or I probably would be dead.

About the only thing lacking is being able to enjoy food with greenery/etc. in it, really, and I guess there's always anesthetics or something for that if you're desperate enough. Gotta' be somethin' out there that turns off the tastebuds or puts you too out of your gourd to care but not far enough out you can no longer complement the cook.

*mumbles vaguely* No mention of build fighters?

... also I totally keep getting an intermittent urge to sit down and watch through big o. I'm pretty sure I've seen most or all of it (or at least what aired on toonami back in the day), but I'm equally sure I've never seen it in order. Which makes for odd lingering impressions.

Oh yeah, and fyi some of the escaflowne music is pretty incredible. Forget exactly which incarnation of it, but I've got a couple (organ pub, one of the nonsense cat ones) that have lingered in my music playlists for like over a decade now. Good stuff.

Nah, we're not an evil biome. Evil biomes took one look at the hellswamp and decided to go find somewhere more liveable.

Not even blood rain wants anything to do with Florida Man, only those too poor to flee, too drugged to care, and/or too old to notice the air trying to strangle them in their sleep awake :V

The embarrassment of going to the doctor over crotch issues is notably less than the embarrassment (among other, more pressing emotions) that comes from having your case of dick rot trumpeted over the news for clicks, methinks. Or belatedly finding out you have prostate/ovarian/etc. cancer or whatev'.

Sadly, part of growing older, assuming you can afford the testing et al involved, is getting over any hangups you might have over embarrassment, weakness, or personal dignity vis a vis a doctor :-\

Oh hey it's like those little dong guillotines I think was in robin hood men in tights?

I'm far more plussed by the ad that has the man and woman wearing the knitted two-person underwear thrusting into eachother. I see it, cause apparently adblock is powerless against high calibre super ads like this one, and every time I'm left thinking "What series of actions of mine have convinced the google adbots that I want to see this shit?", it's truly mysterious.
For what it's worth, non-browser/external players that can run youtube vids (I'm currently using mpc-be, apparently) don't seem to be capable of running the attendant ads. If you're wanting to avoid the things.

... it's a thing. I actually would probably be okay-ish with letting youtube ads run, but html5 video plays like complete and utter ass on either machine I have access to. Quality is shoddy (and unstable) on the kindle, play is complete shite on the laptop. So I've ended up effectively forced to use an external player ever since YT completely nixed flash :V

If there's anything I've learned from watching a TAS of Pepsiman: The Running Hero, it's that company behind pepsi should never in a million years be let within a hundred feet of anything having to do with city planning and maintenance.

Also, probably need to call OSHA on them.

... and maybe NASA. That might be a blatantly hazardous use of anti-grav but it's still anti-grav.
