Huh. Well, that's a new one in my punch wizard asshole main character experience. Dark King, MC's reaction to a problem later on is "let's cultivate drugs and addict as much of the population to it as we can, with the express intent of using them as wrung out coke whore cannon fodder".

Like, I've seen "drug the population" before (Ark), but it was (mostly) with the intent of roid raging an otherwise pacifist/ineffective group that was facing an existential threat. This one's doing it just to save his own ass and screw with people, and given the setting it's less "save his own ass" and more "use the addiction and probable death of thousands/tens of thousands as a minor distraction that probably won't work".

Seem to be recalling something about algae blooms, mostly. Too tired to check, which is why I was asking instead of checking, heh.

Just, uh. Just to check, but you're aware not all plants are particularly edible, right? Slash contribute much to human diets slash whatever.

... could swear it's also not sustainable some way or another. Wunnit one or more of the mass extinction periods prefaced by runaway plant growth heavily contributing to trollololofucking the environment in places, near as we can tell?

Italian? I suppose he wouldn’t want to talk about it much and I’m probably prying a bit much into your personal stuff.
Nah, more local-ish stuff (I mean, there might be italian somewhere in the family tree because gods know what the hell's in that mess but if so it wasn't much by his generation). Never really looked into the details too much, tbh, though it's perhaps surprisingly easy to have relatives with some connection to organized crime in some areas, southern US very much among them. Histories dragging back to moonshiners and earlier, to say nothing of all the other drugs (and guns, and etc.) flowing through the south currently.

Naaah, near as I can recall the knowledge came to him due to being involved with organized crime back in his home town, heh. Might have been specifically for blowing up mailboxes, can't quite remember. Not really a common pastime thing, though.

Though from what I've picked up so far those "explosive devices" were pipe bombs. Which are... not the most sophisticated things in the world, if still potentially pretty dangerous.

Since forgot the specifics but there was a point my dad taught me how to bash a cheap one out over the course of like a four minutes walk, heh.

Hey, been a few months. Seems there's an active shooter at some school or another in texas. Haven't seen much beyond the mention yet, but eh.

Open source RPG game. Kind of seeks to emulate diablo, very simple 3d graphics. Module based
The simple 3D makes me think Egoboo.

I've actually just about reached the point I can stand a mild amount of onion powder, oddly enough. Least its presence doesn't automatically make something borderline or outright vile. Actual onions to any extent are still the taste destroying devil, though.

(fuck onions non-sexually)
Leave.
If it were really an option I'd be tempted, but you onion liking blighters put the stuff in goddamn everything and escape is frustratingly difficult.

Like a quarter of the reason I've learned to cook to the extent I have is so I can eat stuff that doesn't have the things in them. Goddamn onions.

I'm not even sure I can tell it's in food most of the time, sometimes even when it's pretty heavy. It's one of the various food additives that are just kinda'... there. Plenty of stuff I'm pretty sensitive to food wise (fuck onions non-sexually) but cilantro's not one of them.

apacilantrist here

I don't really give a damn about cilantro either way. Don't try to use it, don't tend to care if someone else does.

... uh, I'm not sure flour is generally considered a... spice. It's certainly not a spicy one unless you've blended in peppers or somethin'. Not sure how legit sauces/condiments are in a spice competition, either, really...

There is white pepper, though, if you're talking coloration. Dunno what they do to peppercorn to make it but eh.

... wait a tick, wasn't booze ads illegal on stateside TV for a while there? Could swear I didn't have to deal with that on the screen at some point, and I just noticed they're either back or I somehow missed them never leaving (which, fairness where due, is possible considering how much I don't watch TV).
