I hate to say it, but Texas has the right idea. If they fail two appeals, fry their ass. Or gas them. Or whatever, preferably something humane and painless. I'm a moderate liberal, but fuck man. Murderers and torturers and serial rapists. At what point does it become okay to live, when you're ruining MULTIPLE lives?
By that metric we should be gassing much of our justice system ::)

... I'd actually agree in a void execution is better than life imprisonment for various reasons, but we're not in a void and our justice system is shit and well known at this point for fucking murdering innocents, never mind all the economic inefficiencies regarding the process. Better to not let it have the option to terminally fuck someone and save us some money on the side.

You have no trouble bombing entire countries for acts of terrorism though. Or holding and torturing terrorist suspects without trial or legal assistance.
Besides, you can't compare US police vs domestic riots to Israeli army vs (what they, the US, the EU and some other nations regard as) a terrorist organisation (Hamas).
Pretty sure you can when the people getting murdered are mostly unarmed civilians participating in something between a protest and prison riot. Domestic riot and policing action is what this shit was unless you're indulging in quantum palestine junk.

Any case, point's generally that whatever israel's policy on capital punishment is (and regardless what the US's many sins on the subject are) they're pretty damn willing to resort to death as a punishment. Progressive on the subject the right-wing folks indulging in what's either collective punishment against what's de facto their citizens or war crimes against a foreign nation ain't.

... might be able to make the argument it's still better than the US but at that point you're mired in shit and trying to argue one side of you is less encrusted than the other. Maybe don't consider either side progressive on the subject until the crap stops getting poured.

... in some ways, maybe. Can't remember many times in the last long while than even our astoundingly shitty police opened fire on a crowd with live ammunition.

China funding construction involving trump brand buildings, that's what happened to american jobs. E: Ah, right, link. First I could dig up again.

Arguably helpful reference to one of the other one of these threads. Think there's at least two or three other ones, too...

... well, size of a medium dog, built rather differently than a canine, and iirc regularly hunts things larger than them size wise. Wouldn't judge their threat based on size. That's how you get a face full of medium sized dog equivalent feline tearing off your previous skinmeats as it tries to bring you down/snap your neck.

I... played a little in the last month or so, checking out the changes since whenever I had last played it (I.e. prior to it having its own thing separate-ish from Spring). Tooled around in the campaign a bit. Still as terrible as I ever was, plus my current comp might just run it worse than my last one, at this point, which would almost be impressive if it didn't say poor things about my current comp's remaining lifespan.

You might indeed see a larger playerbase if it's hit steam. Couldn't tell you from experience, though... even if I were interested in MP at the moment (which I'm not, really) I wouldn't inflict my machine's performance on other humans, heh.

I guess all you're left with is lascivious origami, then. Good luck!

Arts and crafts, I guess? Paper mache, origami, turn it into zen tangles or somethin', etc. Animal bedding of some sorts can be made with shredded paper, iirc, and I could half swear there's something similar you can do with gardening. Think you can make very half-assed insulation with it?

Any ideas of something I could mix this stuff with to make it a bit more drinkable? It's like a really schizophrenic, really sugary dessert wine.
If dessert wine, make dessert? Stick it in ice cream or make a slushie out of it. Seem to recall you can bake with alcohol someway or another, so maybe look that up and make bread and/or cake.

When in doubt, murder everyone and hire a ghost writer for your autobiography.

I imagine ghost writers are just Marvel's Ghost Rider using a flaming, demonic typewriter.
I'm pretty sure it's more a bouncing/flying blue ball. It's been well over a decade so I may be misremembering but there was a TV series and everything and I recall it being represented as a blue-ish ghost ball.

Says you. I've regularly screwed up straight lines even with a ruler to help. Rulers can help but they're neither necessary nor sufficient.

Not... really a good comparison. Moore was not nearly as competent as Schneider. Not terribly sure he had anything to do with actually writing the laws regarding age of consent and whatnot where he was at, either... plus, uh. "Don't mack on teenagers when you're in your thirties" is a hell of a lot more straightforward than the legal specifics of (at least conceptually) erotic asphyxiation.

... not entirely sure where to go with that but basically you could draw a sort of parallel if you squint but it's not what I'd call a particularly strong similarity.

Far as I recall he helped write the current NY ones, some point before the actions he's being accused of. Haven't really checked the specific details, though.

One of those little-ish oddities, where he should have known better than just about anyone what he was doing so far as legal concern goes.
