Isn't the unemployment rating low enough to for him to find a new job fairly easily?
Are you at least looking for a new job?
There remains pretty much nothing easy about finding work, I'm afraid, least if you don't have nepotism/corruption to lean on. Particularly work that pays as well as a previous position, provides as much hours, vague semblance of stability, relatively equal stress, etc.

Beyond that, there's always room for complicating circumstance and whatnot.

The king hasn't been feeling well since the queen died, they said.

Edit: well okay that's supposed to be a ghost I guess

but I'm not some kind of chosen one or something my dude is just a rando merchant guy trying to make a buck

apparently merchant powers in this universe comes with "see and communicate with the restless dead" as a perk

not even death will save you from marketing

I'd assume it was reference to looseness, without more context. Seems the sort of direction that kind of vulgarity would go.

Uh, companies totally do that, though? I guess maybe the amount has lessened lately-ish but free samples and whatnot are totally a thing. Sometimes it's promotion, sometimes it's just good will fostering. Free DLC (arguably including patches, really, particularly content ones) is pretty common, too. Even when there's not other DLC or products to sell...

Any case, do movie making budgets include the advertising/marketing, too? I legit don't know.

Yup, that's the season/weather finally shifting into spring/summer/fuck-all-living-things mode. The bugs are back their full humanphagic bastardry. It was nice mostly not having to remember I live in a swamp for a while :-\

... I see the trailer, and can't help but think that looks like possibly the best thing to come out of the batman franchise in years, maybe ever. It looks absurd in the best of ways.

E: Jeez, the pedigree on that thing is actually pretty baller. Jojo, Kill la Kill, and Afro Samurai all have folks that worked on 'em contributing. No clue if I'll get around to watching it any time soon but it kinda' legit looks like it might be one of the best bits of batman media to hit a TV screen equivalent.

*shrugs* In a lot of ways, things have actually been getting better, current hiccup with the U.S. fucking itself in its own arse notwithstanding. It's mostly just that we're more aware of how shitty various things are, and tolerance for certain strains of pervasive bullshit is rapidly (as historical timescales go) diminishing.

... also the latest generation or three are the first in a while that doesn't have fairly widespread brain damage in a lot of countries (thanks, lead). Probably wouldn't be surprised if some of the younger folks are literally physically more capable of recognizing wtf's been going down and having to deal with the consequences of awareness et al (I.e. stress, lots and lots of stress).

Eh... doubt anything short of a blatantly corrupt republican that immediately axed everything would make a difference on that particular front, though. Arguably not worth the effort to care about, y'know?

Not sure why? If you're thinking conflict of interest or somethin', AG's a lawyer, not a judge, and this is a state level position, not federal. So long as frivolous lawsuits or whatev' don't get involved there's not actually much or any conflict.

Got an email today.
"Your package will arrive on the 8/5/2018".

I mean... that could be august instead of may. MM/DD/YYYY instead of DD/MM/YYYY.

Still probably be a wtf due to how far off it would be, but it'd probably involve fewer chronospheres to manage possibility!

For extra "people will call this ironic but it is actually just a hilarious coincidence" effect: I could swear he was responsible for getting stronger charges applied to assault cases involving choking or throttling someone.
Thought it was weaker ones, or something along those lines? Much of a check as I could manage right now says he was at least involved in writing them, one way or another.

In any case, good the guy got ousted/left pretty much immediately when this broke. At least one side of the political aisle actually gives something resembling a shit, I guess. Hopefully it'll end up weeding potential problems out sooner than later.

Vaguely interesting bit is who replaces him, though, given the sort of fires the NY AG is and will be dealing with in the near future. I've heard mention of preet something or other, I think?

There is a Swedish folk tale where an evil dragon prince is defeated by by peeling his layers off one by one until a human is found at the core.

This is because his mother the queen conceived him by eating an onion (because a wise old hag told her so) but omitted to peel it first. So all the bad onion layers had to be peeled away first.

How do people come up with these ideas?

How do people get these stories and then pass them down to their kids until we get to this point?
people get really friggin' bored now

think for two seconds that previously we had more or less all the same wetware and far less means of entertainment, plus far shittier conditions giving incentive to find distraction

be glad the story ended before someone came along and fornicated with the discarded layers to make evil dragon price mk 2, giant lizard matryoshka orgy edition

I'm still not sure if it's good or bad. If recent Israeli intel is right, it might not be such a bad idea after all.
Regardless, it's going to divide US and EU, and that's not good.
Burning years of negotiations on a non-proliferation/denuclearization agreement to the ground, particularly in the face of stuff like the NK negotiations, is a fucking terrible idea from top to bottom. There's nothing good about the decision unless you considering pissing on obama's efforts and american credibility abroad to be a good thing.

An ode to the military-industrial machine? I get how the whole selling weapons illegally to Iran would come accross as cool to them, but I'm not sure they'd want to get into the business of selling weapons abroad.
... selling weapons abroad is some fairly sizeable chunk of their business, smj. They definitely want to get into that, and probably the more the better.

"Strawberry flavour" tastes like neither wild nor cultivated strawberries. That's my point.
Eh? No, it tastes like cultivated ones at the absolute least. Not a 100% match but it's close enough you can tell the similarity.
