Eh... from what I understand of said ruling, I'd wager that staggeringly unlikely unless there's more legal decisions to come. Specific sorts might go poof, but the shit pulls way too many psychological levers to see much reduction in usage as a general thing.

Chaos Seed. Secret of Mana meets Dungeon Keeper meets Feng Shui. Old SNES game, finally fantranz'd in the last few years, where you build dungeons according to arcane rules, make minions, and beat the hell out of invaders alongside them. It's pretty great.

Knights of the Chalice. Isometric 2D PC game in the sort of style reminiscent of Dark Sun and similar era CRPGs. Fairly simple in a lot of ways, but it really scratches a sort of combat heavy plot light turn based party hack and slash you don't seem to see very often.

I was reading about local snakes, and was surprised by this:

Quote
If you encounter a dead rattlesnake, don’t touch it!   The biting reflex remains intact even after death.

Yikes!
Remember: Always hit something you think you've killed a few times with a decently lengthy stick. Maybe poke it in the eye. This applies to anything, not just snakes. Sticks are your second best friend when it comes to murder hunting, right after after whatever you're using to kill with.

... don't ask how it works when it's also the stick. Superpositioned friendship kills no less than five people a century.

If wob has 7.0.1 and frogcom or com isn't up your alley (though a quick poke suggests either should pull similar enjoyment levers for a person, for what it's worth), that'd probably be best. Like said, I have a version toodling around but it's 3.5.0 at the newest, heh, and if the com forks are anything to go by there's a good bit of work invested between that and the 7.0 line.

Still, if there's any trouble uploading or whatever I'd be happy to kick what I got out.

Oh, right. Fishing. I think the glitch is still active if you want to save time? Definitely is if modloader's running.

Basically, have autopause on. Cast the fishing lure, then open your inventory, throw something out of it (1 torch, piece of gel, a copper piece, whatever), and close the inventory. Voila, more lines cast. Repeat as you please. Soooo much faster >_<

Yeeaah, halfhearted look can't seem to find a recent windows binary. I could upload an older one (3.5 vs 7.something, apparently) pretty easily if it'd help any? There's also some new-ish forks of poschen fiddling about these days, too, that you can easily find windows versions for. Check over here for what seems to be somewhere to find a couple.

Yeah, consecutively. I'm sure they'd notice the sign was tilted, but would they notice it was incrementally changing?

Though on further thought, for extra points you'd probably oscillate a bit to throw people off. Go down for three signs, up for one or two, etc. Maybe even get it up to tilting the other way before going all the way down.

Idle thoughts while driving: What if you took a stretch of roadway, and tilted every speed limit sign one or two degrees from a starting point of straight up until you hit either a 45 or 30 degree angle or thereabouts.

Would people notice? How long would it take someone to recognise what's happening as they drive along?

Use the blend regularly without that particular scent happening, tho'.

I mean, I can identify what probably caused it (something between the potatoes and the cheese, since I make this without the thickening fairly often, probably in combination with the spicy chicken since I've only started using the blend recently-ish), but... still. It wasn't expected at all.

I have made a meal* that smells pretty strongly of peanuts.

No peanuts were involved in the cooking of this meal or its ingredients.

Cooking magic why

* instant yakisoba noodles thickened with instant mashed potatoes and fiesta blend cheese, seasoned with a 2:1 blend of teriyaki beef and spicy chicken seasoning, with diced chicken nuggets lightly-ish coated in (sweet) bbq sauce stirred into it

Yeaaah, the head stomp damage collision is sketchy as all hell. Real nice when it works, but it fails often enough trying to use it is basically suicide.

Though yes, it's real nice vertical mobility, early on in particular. It plus the eye shield dash makes a lot of expert notably more viable. Incidentally, said dash is much more reliable than a grapple much of the time, heh.

... that said, full defense can help plenty in expert, it's just that you definitely need the mobility as much or more. Damage you can skimp on if you can maintain dodging and have a bit extra room to screw up, usually. Percentile damage reduction is indeed notably more valuable in expert, tho'.

You'd think it would have, but apparently not. Shadowrun's not on the list of compatible games.

... anyway, chaos seed's great. That metal max one that got fantranz'd, too. Most of what's been unofficially translated is fairly solid, really... stuff tends to take entirely too much effort to do unless you like what you're converting quite a lot, heh.

Speaking of Enix, Just Breed on the NES was pretty great. Not enix, but so was chaos world. Ahead of their time, imo.

Same as ever? Filter avoidance and whatnot. Apparently someone thinks that'll get them through spam filters.

... regardless, I'm pretty sure that was a reference to rocket jumping, a game mechanic where you basically shoot yourself in the foot with an explosive weapon to get extra air/go faster. The point isn't to use recoil, it's to ride the explosion.

I'm very much of two minds about whether either interpretation is valid, but I think it's the sort of question that lies near the heart of mistrust towards democrats from people further to the left. There's an additional argument denying that this happened (I expect a characteristically condescending "...no?" frumple post in <24 hours asserting that all is imagined), but in light of the importance of the tax bill (and the way the media has played very loose with restraint under Trump over vanishingly less important issues) I'm convinced that their response was weak and noticeably so.
Too much of a very literal headache to be able to muster much of a shit to give, so probably not.

For what it's worth, if there's a question mark after the no it's generally fairly genuine confusion, with most of the rest being irritation at most. Condescension isn't something I aim for pretty much ever.
