It is out of date (it was originally written in 1868), and subsequent junk has patched up that sort of stuff. Mostly, at the absolute least.

That said, fixed, yes, ignored, no. Pretty sure the 14th was a fairly notable step up from the situation at the time. Most folks I've noticed suggesting abolishing or ignoring it are pretty incredibly shitty people.

Link's in the thread title, tho'? Formatted to get around some of the more common address filters, even.

More attempt to scare away the minimum number of idiots trying to put the question on the census to begin with. Lots more. Actually more or less the entire goddamn point of publicising the issue, for all it doesn't really seem to be getting that much attention, yet.

When you find your ten year old main character in deadly battle with, and I quote, "acornholio", it's time to re-bury memories of bevis and butthead and stop playing for the night.

Popolocrois is the name of the game. This not long after I've murdered chipmunks squirrels brown mice for their nuts. What the hell are you doing, game.

No clue, but there's apparently a NDS game for it, too?

Sure, but aren't people claiming that this will be used as a way to identify undocumented immigrants?  Violate the 5th amendment rights they would have as citizens?
At least from what I'm seeing in passing, no, that's not what people are claiming (or at least not terribly much). They're claiming plenty of people are just not going to answer the question (and the census, period) if it's there, leading already notable undercounting to become worse. It's not so much likelihood of it being able to identify you as a fairly knee-jerk response to questions of that nature on the whole. It'll lead to worse data for no gain and a lot of stress for plenty of folks (up to and including our belabored census departments).

It's basically in the same general realm of behavior as habitually lying on website account information, in a very rough sense. Except with actual consequences of fairly substantial note (worse census data, primarily) and part of a pattern of behavior cheerfully engrained in our immigrant populations, documented and otherwise, by the jackbooted thugs we have handling our immigration enforcement.

And go figure, it'd be real easy to avoid the friggin' problem. Just don't ask the question. Get better data from our census. Don't waste people's time with this and let folks do their job to try and improve government functioning. Etc., etc. Hopefully at least part of that happens, for all a good chunk of effort and time's already been wasted trying to keep the sodding GOP from shitting up government functioning yet again.

We redwall now, I guess.

At least the otters were generally pretty badass. Not the space marine badgers, but up there.

e: why do I remember those even exist
it's been well over a decade, nearly two, since I read a redwall book

I don't think I ever played a forum game all my life.
This, heh.

I've read a few quests elsewhere,* and I think maybe tried contributing a character or two to something or another earlier on, but I've mostly avoided FG&RP (and the community forts, for that matter) over the years. Once I filtered down to GD and OG, I've been pretty immobile sub-forum participation wise. Closest I've been to it's some MP games with forumgoers.

* Actually, the thought of navigating something like that on this forum's software is vaguely nightmarish, now that I think about it. Threadmarks or sod off.

29% nosferatu, apparently. Dunno if it fits particularly well. Mostly just like things quiet, without much of the rest of it, but eh.

Least from what I've seen, a bunch of it is just straight from the ground broadcast of junk like congress sessions. Plenty of dry stuff, but it's occasionally interesting. End of the day it's probably one of the better(/less entertainment news) news-y things putzing around american media.

Gave it a shot. First game, starting pile gave me nothing but grenade launchers (plural) for weapons. Starting level had a bunch of # looking apparently explosive things. It took multiple rooms and enemy encounters to see anything except more grenade launchers that survived getting knocked off its weilder, and the first few times I did, they didn't stay in one piece long enough to pick up.

I don't know if it there's multiple floors. I don't know how many rooms are on the starting level. I didn't last through maybe ten rooms. Neither did the rooms, by and large. Everything blew up.

Is this a non-ironic version of that "You are just mad because you are angry" meme?
If by angry you meant neurochemically brainfucked into bouts of being pissed off, maybe? Sometimes the cause of depression is pretty literally just 'cause you're wired that way and there's not really a damn thing you can do about it environment or behavior wise, for all that they can help mitigate potential consequences*. Medication can help, but I'm pretty sure you've been around for discussions on how much of a crap shoot that can be. Vital and helpful for many, but often enough inconsistent enough you maybe don't want things around that's going to make it easier for someone dealing with shit to kill someone, particularly themselves.

* Incidentally, I'm fairly sure roughly 100% of recommendations on that front (from anyone not sodding bugnuts or bankrolled by gun lobbyists or their ilk, anyway) include keeping guns well the hell away from anyone involved, at the absolute least if there's not immediate supervision.

Guess what happened? Suicide rates dropped. I'm not sure if that was the rate of attempted suicides or suicides that resulted in death, but the point is that reducing access to guns does reduce suicides.
Pretty sure it was both. Far as I can recall you pretty consistently see both a reduction in attempts and success rates vis a vis suicide when gun proliferation drops. Homicide, too.

Turns out there's currently not really a substitute good on the lethality or encouraging lethality front for firearms. For reasons somehow a mystery to many, the device we've spent centuries improving in regards to killing people makes it easier than just about anything else we got for people to die when it's around.

Warlords Battlecry 3 (really unique undead faction gameplay)
Majesty (priestesses of Krypta ftw, maybe try Warlock spin-off series)
Nox (old but gold. I think you can actually play a necromancer although I never tried)
Nox had a summoning class, but necromancy was an enemy thing to the extent it was a thing at all. Think there were ways to get undead summons, for what that's worth, but it wasn't particularly necromancer-y.

Now, that said, yeah, nox is pretty great. Aged surprisingly well, too, and I think there's still some fan ran multiplayer junk putzing around.

Maruchan yakisoba, teriyaki beef and spicy chicken, two to one ratio seasoning packet, dump them in something (zip lock bag) and mix well. Put on basically anything. Good stuff is good. Very mild spice, slightly sweet, I've yet to find grain meals it doesn't go well with. Today is (boneless, thank the gods) chicken and rice.
