Yeah, you got a higher priority, heh. Maybe even skip on D6 entirely so you won't have physical access to the temptation, you can come back to it for 7 instead :V

KK makes good doughnuts?

Dunno if the UK ones are different, but it's like eating just... artificial flavours on fried bread. Not good artificial flavours, but flavours that taste like you've described something to an alien and they've got to try and make it taste like the description.
Better than dunkin's at least, heh. KK's good-ish by the standard of fastfood-equivalent donut shops. They're the actual mid-tier donut shop stateside, basically.

... not sure why you're saying KK failed, though, cript? Despite that mess like a decade ago they've still got like 1400 locations around the world and went back public traded a year or two back, checking. Your local one shut down or somethin'?

Ehh... dunkin's like midtier as fastfood goes, but also basically bottom tier as donut shops go, from what I've seen and seen mention of. They ain't so low quality as to be bad, but friggin' walmart makes better donuts qua donuts, nevermind better dedicated donut shops like krispy kreme or whatever. Imo dunkin's non-donut offerings are largely better than their donuts. They have some remarkably decent breakfast offerings, as fastfood breakfasts go.

That feeling when you cook something and declare "Well, it smells right... that's concerning."

... was cobbling together sorta-chef-boy-ardee. Actually achieving something like it isn't necessarily a good thing, as for all I had an urge for it, chef boy ardee is... not quality food.

Taste is about right, too, for that matter. Nothing fancy, just dumped about a half can of cheap "low-sodium" (not actually low sodium, there was more salt in that than all the hamburger and it about matched the m&c per unit) pasta sauce into a bowl of mac and cheese and some hamburger meat. I'm not surprised this is about right, and it's what I wanted, and everything, but there's a part of me that's conflicted by this actually working.

Net's finally back up, aaahhh.

Couple days ago the phone was having trouble. Repair folks came, fixed phone, nixed internet. Took two days to get someone to come back, but they finally made it and internet is back ;_;

ahaha, I actually remembered to get a screenshot of it :D

... probably will forget to get 6 hours and 6 minutes, but still! Good enough for the devil's work ^_^

Eyeballing the reviews feels like the general sentiment is "It's pretty good, but not as good as JA2 and especially not as good as JA2 modded", so... there you go? It does, however, have mod support, so if you're doubtful maybe wait for that to cook for a while and grab it on sale in a year or three.

You're assuming they didn't :V

Got through a full endless run (about 150 individual combats) of this legend creature mod I've been trying to MTL without a single me-problem script error. That is... probably the first time that's happened in like, somewhere in the range of 30+ hours of work over a week or two. I ain't done yet, but it's still pretty nice to see.

It's 100% transphobe horseshit; those questions and that formatting is the exact same thing we've seen in multiple areas pushing that crap.

That it's skeevy as all hell on several fronts beyond that is just a side benefit to the scum promoting it. S'only one side of the US political sphere that's trying to protect child marriages and similar junk, and wouldn't you just know it, it's the same one that's willing to throw out creepy shit aimed at minors like those questions.

I haven't seen anyone praising soulstorm as a game (while dark crusade gets a lot more good memories from the players) but it seems the  praise is for the mods of soulstorm that are mostly recognized as the best in the dow series (mostly the Apocalypse and Unification mods) .
Soulstorm was fine as a game, iirc... not particularly better than dark crusade, but not meaningfully worse, either. Which admittedly is something of a let down for a sequel, but it's not like it's unenjoyable as a base game experience.

... that said, yeah, you mod the hell out of soulstorm because the mods for soulstorm are pretty much the peak of DoW modding. All sorts of neat stuff going on on that front, probably unambiguously a better reason to get the game than the base game itself.

... cat has developed a habit of laying in the windowsill besides my bed, in between the window and the curtain, in such a way that if you pull the curtain out a bit, the cat falls out the window onto the bed. Like, it's certainly amusing, but... you'd think she would have figured out by now what's going to consistently happen when I notice the opportunity has returned.

It seems to have worked for most traditional deities, heh.

At least part of it seems to be because the folks they're deifying don't actually have much or anything in the way of positive qualities. When you don't have a virtue to point to, all you have left is godhood :P

To avoid confusion with alternating current, apparently. AC as an abbreviation for that is supposedly super common in engineering, so it'd make sense the people building the things wanted a different abbreviation so things were less confusing. That's what several different results from google said, anyway.
