So why not just unisex bathrooms then? If people should just get over their anxieties and let the “other” use their bathrooms, why don’t we just allow  all the “others” use the bathroom then. Why do we make an exception only for one specific group when we can change the rules and allow all the groups?

I’m serious btw. I do think unisex bathrooms would be a great idea.
Money, mostly. The only unisex bathrooms you're going to get by public sentiment (stateside, anyway) in big enough numbers to matter are single occupancy, and that entails more space and whatnot if you're going to meet demand in larger/higher traffic buildings. It's conceptually doable and might even be a helluva' lot more comfortable but someone would have to pay for it (well, and keeping it clean post installation) and no one wants to pay for it. They'd rather piss (hopefully not literally, I guess, unless that's all parties involved's thing) on people outside culturally standard gender norms.

It's sadly(?) just dogwhistle code for fuck brown people, mostly. Probably some strongman bullshit on the side. If you're looking for something that gives a single damn about the actual conditions of any particular sort of drug use, you're barking up the wrong narcissistic senile tree.

Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being self-correcting otherwise, given trump's investments (which have little chance of not having notable pharma connection, for all that I haven't actually checked) and shit like down in panama. Eh.

Quote from: infinite competitive dungeon society, chapter 202
“Ah. Um… Sorry. I have to train with Ren for a while, so I’ll have to shamelessly leave you to take care of Ina.”

At my apology, Hwaya smiled lightly and answered.

“It’s fine. I’m calculating each and everything anyways. I’m thinking about the reward I’ll get out of you with all the points I accumulated. A hug, kiss, dinner, date, and… Huhu.”

“Huhu? What is that supposed to mean?”

“Ahaha, I’m kidding. Well, half-kidding. For the record, I have 2.7 Huhus saved up.”

I wanna say elites and sacreds don't get checked, though, as it's basically modified PD generation code and NG excludes those from PD (even though it would be nice if every once in a while it didn't).
Idle thought and probably pointless to mention in practice, but it might be neat if a temple in the province would randomly bless a handful of PD regardless of sacred status, or throw out a spell or two based on pretender paths.

Could do something similar with mage labs, now that I think about it; small number (like 1 or 2 per 10 pd past a threshold or somethin') of random summons and/or a few start-of-battle enchants tossed out, stuff like that. X% chance based on amount of PD for PD commanders to have a random low tier item?

Can't recall if there's anything like that currently in game or not...

I can't help but wonder. Is person riding skeleton giant riding chariot a thing, yet? If not, why not?

Going too deep would be too silly, but it feels like thing riding thing riding thing is something needed yet apparently lacking. We must have horseman riding horse riding horse, like dream of fire emblem mounted units made manifest.

Hell, if you enjoyed it, it's worth mentioning enough, more or less. This isn't "only the good stuff pocket games thread" or somethin'.

... now excuse me while I go back to grinding in Space Battleship Story RPG again. Picked it back up a week or two back. Everything I said about it earlier in the thread still applies, but there's more stuff added! Including a giant mecha boss that fires drills at you. Some of which are larger than the game's totally-not-a-deathstar-I-swear. S'nice. Can't kill it yet and stuff it in my giant robot spaceship pokeball, but it's nice.

I've seen ads for blustone occasionally.

... they make me want to gouge the designers' eyes out, a little. Looks like generic clicker gacha shovelware, of which there seem to be dozens nowadays. Your description seems to reinforce that, heh.

Infinite competitive dungeon society. MC duking it out with boss, mounted dullahan. Knocks out horse, breaks boss's weapon. Dullahan proceeds to pick up horse by its leg and try to beat the protag to death with the entire horse.

Cannot help but laugh. That's a bit of absurdity I'm pretty sure I've never seen put to print before :3

It's generally insane and counterproductive, yes. Sympathy for the folks that are fed up enough to be blinded to the point the bet looks worth it, or thinks things are bad enough the shithole that inevitably results is worth the risk, but it's not a particularly reasonable or helpful position if you don't think your house on fire is a good idea, or like the thought of dying of old age instead of something else.
Yeah I sort of went overboard on the sarcasm :3

It's hard for me to choose between the GOP and the DNC. The GOP is the Doctor Doom style of outright giddy evil, and the DNC is basically Elysium. Each election for me it's "which one of these will hurt my family the least".
Please don't piss on Doom like that. He doesn't deserve the comparison.

Any case, it's been a damn long time since the choice was difficult, personally. Longer than I've been able to vote. Whatever its problems the DNC regularly supports and tries to push through shit that will legitimately help people, and tends to fuck up instead of fuck over when things go sideways. The liberal ground game is filled with a hell of a lot of people breaking their back to keep this country running and make lives less miserable.

Meanwhile the GOP is "fuck homeless people and everything in their direction" and has been for years, and spews mealymouthed bullshit about private charity and personal responsibility and crap while tearing goddamn everything apart. Whatever room there is for discussion on their voters, the party's politicians are a fucking blight on this country and are intentionally trying to screw the lives and livelihoods of millions.

There might still be some degree of reason to still weigh cockup against malice but the republican party of the last several decades has made the scales real damn easy to measure by this point.

A lot of important people in important positions have been removed. But there's only 15 cabinet seats proper and another 8 who sit on cabinet meetings.

There's also still plenty of unfilled positions all over the place in the lower echelons of the White House. If what I read is to be believed, Tillerson didn't even fill out his immediate subordinates.
Far as I've picked up, probably intentionally. Tillerson's apparently been screwing the ever loving hell out of the state department, and deliberately. To the point it's actually questionable if being replaced by senior igneous extrusion actually will be worse for the department and country or not. Probably will be, mind you, 'cause it's doubtful he won't continue tillerson's shtick with an extra side of whatever his personal terriblenesses are, but it makes things competitive with ol' volcaniprick.

Or at least fleeing florida. Haven't paid much attention to it, but with family that retired from roadwork in this friggin' swamp, let's just say my surprise if there was corruption or cut corners involved with the fall would be as existent as the nonexistent gods.*

* And that isn't making a statement on the existence of divinity, per se. It's specifically referencing whatever ones don't exist.

Never played Tactics Ogre, but essentially Fire Emblems are just turn-based strategy games with RPG elements for each unit/character and permadeath.
Good few days ago, but the rough answer to how similar they are is "not". Fire Emblem is much more deterministic and limited character wise than TO is, among a host of other differences. It's more strategy than RPG, I'd say. They're both SRPGs, but they're basically at exact opposite ends of the general playstyle's spectrum, and there's very little guarantee liking one will mean you'll particularly enjoy the other (I love TO to bits, but can't stand FE unless I'm whacking it over the head with a cheating method to make some of the mechanics go back to hell where they belong yes I'm talking about you weapon durability, back to the pit with you). That said, FE wise your best bet is... probably going to be whatever is most recent that you can get your hands on. Quality of life has only gone up over the decades for that particular series, heh.

Your best bet for something very similar to TO is probably going to be Final Fantasy Tactics. More the original (which to a degree a spiritual successor design wise to TO to begin with, back when they came out on the SNES) than the later follow-ups, though the former includes the PSP remastering.

Some other off the head possibilities on the PSP would be Wild ARMs XF, Ragnarok Tactics (no relation to La Pucelle Ragnarok, though they're both SRPGs), Jeanne D'Arc, and maybe some of the Disgaea related stuff (which would include that la pucelle, as well as Phantom Brave and probably stuff I'm forgetting), though it tends to be lighter on the plot related junk. Probably plenty I'm forgetting or never really noticed. Some of that would require figuring out how to finagle getting and using fan made translations if you can't read japanese or whatev', though, heh. Also those totally aren't ordered by quality or anything like that, ha. Just throwing out some I can recall with a design style actually similar to tactics ogre.

... if you're ignoring or massively romanticizing how piss poor his reaction to that over the years has been, I guess. That "just" is caveated by lashing out at all sorts of different people, indulging in a host of unethical behavior, and generally being about the worst sort of unhappy old person an unhappy old person can be. Or person regardless of age that hasn't started outright murdering people, anyway.

Assuming that's actually what's happening and he's not just, say, a malignant narcissist of the clinical sort acting like one. I'd bet more money on the latter, personally. I've known sad old people with daddy issues and they didn't end up that sort of jackass.

Let it be known that blue candle + dead branch + necronomicurse is a thing of utter hilarity. All the cards forever for the low, low price of 1 hp per draw. yes I want to add thirty new cards to my draw pile in one turn why are you asking

... until you somehow manage to run the supposedly inescapable curse out of your hand, anyway :3

I'd say until you run out of health or energy, but at the absolute least the red critter just laughs at that. Reaper/offering draws ftw. The only barrier to the unending turn is boredom or managing to reach the end of the hand size limit.

Also november's better than half a year away at this point. Ain't that biggest deal in the world by a long shot, but so far as fuss goes it's probably worth a good bit more than nothin' much.
