Mentioned it a bit above, heh. It's Far East of Eden Zero. Got translated after about fifteen years of attempting within the last month or so.

That feeling when you can seemingly accurately summarize a scene with the words, "A talking fireball climbed up your ass, you are now the chosen one!"

Note for future designers of sprite based game graphics: Face down is probably not the best idea for the inheritance of the energy macguffin event if your work is as compact as fairly normal SNES rpg graphics. Just saying, there's some potential interpretation issues with the decision.

Fallout 2 had a brothel
Fallout 2 also wasn't a console rpg from the (mid) 90s, heh. PC stuff had a bit more maneuvering room by sheer dint of difficulty of gating the system by the platform creators. Even more modern stuff isn't even remotely surprising.

Also I'm pretty sure I both could top that and don't want to have to dig through the porn games it would take to do it :V

It's just real bloody uncommon even in stuff that hasn't been hit with a censor hammer, is what I'm saying. The closest you normally get is bunny girls or somethin' and maybe some pretty euphemistic stuff of one sort or another, not "Yo', buy this 30 buck dango to be able to go upstairs and talk to the ladies. Some might shack up with you!"

90s era JRPG smj. Literally no officially localized SNES ones had this, at the absolute least this early and this blatant. As far as I can recall no unofficially localized ones have, either. As someone that has actually put at least a few hours into just about actually goddamn every SNES RPG, j or otherwise, that exists in english (and more besides, for that matter) this is in fact pretty surprising.

E: 3k for the local house. Be a bit, but that's not that far out. This plot train is going to be rode like the primary non-protag character in it.

what in the living hell the second town in this game has a straight up whorehouse

i repeat the first non-starting town in this 90s era JRPG has a freaking brothel

what

Also yes death by donut would be okay.

E: whore update, one will apparently move in with you if you buy a house in town

this is a game before or far after its time

... damn it, game. Your drama loses most of its bite when the great unknown power your initial evil dude is ranting about after protag shitkicks him is blatantly sweet bean confectionary. Idiot blue man what killed you was basically donuts. It happened in front of your face with dramatic pointing towards the sky and bright green sparkles and everything. Nothing mysterious happened except the leader of hell's first military squadron not being able to out damage the snack food two-tone beat out of ambulatory training dummies.

Game's far east of eden zero, don't be a jerk, etc., etc.

Though the vague absurdity of those manju just struck me. Common to many games with food based healing, in retrospect. Those things have been presumably sitting inside a shoddily constructed wooden robot for... how long? Days, months? The real magic is apparently these places preservation techniques.

Also I now totally want to see a game with that -- food items being a drop from enemies, particularly early game ones -- that plays it straight and actually makes you sick instead of restoring HP or whatever. You eat stuff that falls out of shambling undead in a centuries old crypt and you get what you deserve.

Read, do computer stuff, sleep. Marginally engaging stuff to pass the time until your go trickles back in or being passed out so the time passes without having to deal much with it.

Ehehe. Yeah, yharon is arguably worse than the worm (if for no other reason relative to this mod trio that the elemental disk + white dwarf set explodes the worm*), and while I haven't even attempted the bullshit of the final boss, I'll note again it will auto-kill you if you get hit 30 times and has damage that scales. On top of some other things. The wiki apparently calls it a "superboss", which seems to be code for "utter bastard".

The birb's not that bad, though, I think. Least of the three post-worm bosses. You pretty much need something like the rag chariot to handle it, but if you've got that you can mostly kite it without much trouble. 'Course, if you don't have it the little shit will instapop you through like 900 health if it touches you but hey, that's calamity's end game (when it's not just flat instakilling you, anyway).

* Though I would totally say try that at least once for catharsis before you uninstall, heh. It's nice to see the worm get squished after it screws you over a few times.

Huh. Y'know, I just noticed the senate tax bill is bad for enough it's caused ted cruz of all people to attempt to explicitly defend cali and new york. Thing shits on urban and suburban folks even harder than the house bill proposes to, apparently.

Unless the taste of the ham is covered by copious amounts of very strong tasting cheese, then you are a fool.
No, no, not cheese, syrup. Or honey, I guess, but I find cane or maple syrup to go better with pork be it bacon or ham than most sorts of honey (at least as a sauce, glaze substances are a different discussion.), most of the time. Not that honey's bad by any means, mind you, just not as good.

Country ham in particular benefits from it 'cause it offsets the would-you-like-ham-to-go-with-your-salt levels of salt that style of ham is usually deliciously encrusted with.

Can't quite recall specifically the DS, but I do believe there's a number of blank ROM type things floating around the market for various systems. Either carts you can write to one way or another (SNES definitely has this, some of the disc based one you can run something burn onto a blank CD/DVD/specialty-thing with some finagling), or junk kinda' like USB drives built to interface with specific machines. Fairly sure more than one of the newer handhelds have that sort of thing out there.

Also want to say there's basically DIY instructions for some of it, too, though I doubt for the newer/smaller systems. But I'd swear I've skimmed over instructions on how to basically build your own SNES cart before, heh.

... that said, I'm also preeeeetttyyy sure most of them are variably illegal to one extent or another*, maybe specifically to sell or somethin', I've never really paid that much attention to it. You certainly hear about one dealer or whatev' shut down by the console's company every once in a bit, in any case. Unsurprisingly, the originator companies aren't terribly fond of the folks making and distributing such devices, ehehe.

*E: Which is why I'm not even trying to look so I have names to avoid dropping, heh. Sometimes it's better to just not know :V

Oh, don't worry, I don't have nearly as much energy for this shit as M did. You'll only get the occasional token attempt to pay attention to more than trying to piss on the establishment for the Nth time.
