I could, or I could drag her into the game's bonus dungeon death pit and let the good times roll until she stops dying. Drop farming's pretty pointless in this'un and characters get the xp-y junk whether they're breathing at the end of a fight or not, soooo...

... huh. Don't think I've ran into this before. Tooling around looking for next step in storyline, I find out I had apparently left what appears to be the gender uncaring romance subplot back in the starting town, by far a majority of the game ago. She's level 7. The rest of my critters are around level 60. Whoops. that said, there's only so much I care 'cause that's a third female minion and now the hero's yuri harem is real

Game's crystareino, since it's a bit of a jerk thing to not mention. Kemco mobile rpg, which is another way of saying it's a'ight, but about as generic jrpg as they come. Still, they have this habit of doing shit like that and occasionally pretty on point writing and/or neat-ish mechanics (and like to show up in humble bundle's mobile stuff), so I keep playing them.

It may. I'm pretty sure what did it for me was the crab mount, which gives some serious underwater scoot. Don't think I even brought it up, just hollowed out some extra space in the water.

Incidentally, finally double checked how you get the thing, heh. Turns out it's not a drop, but something a new NPC sells. If you're interested in giving it a try and haven't done it yet, build up a jellyfish reactor (aquatic bars + coral; you're way past the point it's a problem to get those) and go call up the queen jellyfish. Murder that and the diverman will show up, who sells the crab claw that provides the mount. It does make your hitbox a bit bigger, but again, it gives you some very much notable speed underwater, which makes dodging more feasible.

Eh? Nah, hearing's fine, generally. Probably mild damage, but by mild I mean less than normal for your average american that spends too much time around TVs or loud music (i.e. most americans). Most of my sensory problems at the mo' are visual hallucination related, if you discount needing glasses.

Can't say for sure about the original, but the I Don't Care, I Ship It line was pretty clear.

... I Ship It was playing over the walmart intercom/music things today.

Can't say I ever expected to hear that particular song playing in a southern rural walmart.

I wonder if Left Wing Watch would have just as much crazy... I mean, we hear about their crazies all the time, but where are OUR crazies?
It's pretty much the same situation on each side.
Nah. Equivocation bullshit is in fact bullshit. The primary reason you don't see as much on left wing crazies is just due to relative proportion and effect. Left wing has 'em, right wing's ran by 'em, as it goes. Largest general source of domestic terrorism is conservative extremists, a great deal of radical right wing proposition are pushed or supported whole cloth, there's not any particular countrywide left wing push for the disenfranchisement of millions of americans, you don't have left wing infiltration of law enforcement as a notable country wide domestic security issue, the list just goes on for a while.

Not particularly difficult to pick up why there doesn't seem to be just as much left wing crazy as right in the US, basically. It's because there just kinda' actually ain't, and what's there isn't causing as much trouble.

Hey, he's not wrong. It is worse. They're not inventing as many stories as they usually do about ruddy anything.

Or at least that reading isn't. There's at least three other things that worse could be aiming at. Belief numbers lower or higher, invented stories higher.

... probably some other ones, too, but the wake up haze has dissipated enough to remind me it's one in the goddamn morning, sleep lasted less than an hour, and I really don't have to deal with some shitfuck on twitter that's less capable of clear writing than a drunken philosophy freshman.

Also I say that with authority. I tend to avoid folks drinking but I've still been around drunken philosophy freshmen before. Seen some folks that couldn't walk straight and wouldn't know concise if it hit them with a brick put together a less ambiguous statement than that. Senile ratfink bastard.

It makes little sense for this to be currently in use because Activision only got the patent right now. But I can totally see them using it in the future.
Um, if you'd look two or three posts down from the first one, the patent was filed back in 2015, is currently in use in nothing, and apparently wasn't even filed by their game dev wing. If they were going to use it they wouldn't have had much trouble just going ahead in the interim, but go figure the company decided the misshapen brainspawn of one of their R&D teams was in fact a bad idea.

As isp notes, a lot of weird and/or massively stupid crap gets patented and never actually used for anything. Get concerned when anything of note actually tries to implement the feature.

6609
I mean. I guess? But did it actually make much of a difference? Last I recall most of the effort over there really just kinda' ain't the US doing it, and at least at the mo' I can't remember any mention of those loosened rules really doing jack all of note since trump's verbal diarrhea washed the shit to shore.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure thorium has some other accessible diggers of picksaw+ strength. I... don't remember what they are right now, but I seem to remember not getting a picksaw myself and just kinda' not giving a damn.

@red, cause to hell with quoting on this damn tablet: Less risky loans fuck over a lot of less than rich people if it goes too far, and I'm pretty sure actual hard caps are past that point. It ain't particularly the banks that get screwed from that. Maybe make a bit less money, but that only hurts them in a very relative sense. You'd certainly be getting lenders with more reliable borrowers, but mostly because there'd be noticeably less of them, and not in a good way.

Also pretty sure there's other ways to go about debt control and mitigation that gets the effect you're looking for without the same level of economic fuckery landing on the backs of folks that really don't need to be dealing with that shit right now. Probably want rate limits which (functionally if not explicitly) exist in most places, better venues for challenge or annulment when shit goes too far, etc. More focused strike at a problem instead of drunken hammer to the entire economy.

6612
Eh, for what it's worth trying to eliminate the subsidies to begin with was dead on arrival, just took a moment to void its bowels over everything rather than having the decency to be drying up or something. If he's backtracking now it's probably because he finally fucking listened to a legal team worth a damn when they told 'im it wasn't actually going to fly.

Though double checking the article seems to be mostly just that senate thing, which doesn't really have sod all to do with the jackass in chief far as I can recall? Eh, whatever.

... incidentally, apparently the latest travel ban has been hit with an injunction recently, if the thread hasn't already noticed. So hey, fun all around.

6613
Eh, bankruptcy, debt annulment and selling. The whole collecting thing. It's not eternal, usually, and there's a bucketload of disincentives for it to go the debt slavery route these days. More or less indefinite being there's mostly for bonds and long term investments and whatnot, iirc. Practically, there probably is a sort of societal/economic soft cap. Hell, want to say tracking that sort of thing is important for economic prediction making, canary in coal mine style.

You could cap it at something but I think folks decided it'd be less effort letting that bit be and sticking exceptions for cases of import. Also screw a bunch of people (mostly the person after the loan, rather than the one giving it) over to have that sort of hard debt cap, since the possibility of it extending that far is one of the ways lenders mitigate risk... weren't there, and you'd probably be seeing much smaller loan caps and more stringent barriers to access, if I'm recalling the interaction correctly. Some of that is good, but too much strangles a lot of potential inroads for starting business and crap.

Bad juju on the economic front, basically.

Alternative to using a flashlight is just waiting until the sun comes up, by the by. Probably a real good idea if you haven't fiddled with light fixtures + ladders much before. Don't really want to have to mess around with a flashlight and/or sketchy lighting in the process, particularly if you haven't been exposed to the act terribly often.

Oh. Uh, yeah, for some of the late game thorium stuff I'm pretty sure I already mentioned I ended up cheating like goddamn. Slapped that thing in the face with a twelve inch cheat engine. Not so much the game's fault (... except for the very last boss or two, because good god) or even mine, just my computer and its inability to handle the performance requirements when the screen's lit up like a fireworks display of murder. Reeeeaaaal hard to survive a fight when it's a slideshow and your command input takes a second or two to notice you told it to do things :P

... that said, as mentioned there are a few things that can do some easement. Mentioned the throwing thing already... even if you can't scrounge up the max-hp damage of transient enemy existence, getting desert dude and the "yes I'd like to triple my damage" accessory can do wonders for dealing with stuff without getting gibbed. Could swear there's a couple other things like that, that can seriously make stuff easier for at least a bit.

Forget how I handled the abyssal, though. Pretty sure I didn't freeze my health for that one, but can't recall how I managed it...
