I... want to say thorium actually adds something else at the end of the scope (/destroyer emblem) accessory combo line? Might not have the parts to see it via guide, yet. Can't recall what it does if there is, though, other than being a better scope.

... total aside, but if you have thorium, you might consider poking around that new aquatic biome... iirc. The giant crab mount is surprisingly nice, and I think something in that mess can drop it. Beyond the hella' good underwater movement and waterwalk, it has some oddities for normal getabout that can be nice.

Own thorium lookabout was still using the thing sporadically above water even after finding stuff like the unicorn, and not just 'cause it meant I rode around murdering things from atop my giant crab.

I'unno, when I was playing thorium the storage/inventory management didn't really feel much different than vanilla. There's more, so obviously there's going to be more storage, but it's not particularly out of line compared to the base game.

Normal tote around by the end was whatever weapons I felt like using, maybe one swap in armor set (on top of the two you can wear), stack of health pots, stack of buildy stuff, and the miscellany (mirror, maybe fishing, various detection junk, maybe another weapon or two (usually summons), maybe another accessory or two, etc.). Torch somewhere in there. Toolbar was generally full, along with the 2-4 columns on the left of my inventory, leaving a bit over half-ish free to fill with junk. Which is more or less exactly what my vanilla end-game looked like. Thorium introduced maybe a half column or column worth of extra stuff-I-carry-around and it could have totally been significantly fewer if I hadn't been perpetually tooling around with new junk.

Now, junk wise thorium does introduce a buncha' crap one only need one of two sets of, so there's more stuff-you-pick-up-exploring-that-you-trash-or-vendor, and you'll probably have another chest or three for mod stuff, but... I didn't much feel the need to go substantially out of my way to accommodate it. Like said, inventory wise you might have 3-6 ish new stickarounds (and some stuff gets replaced or compacted, so the net increase may be smaller) and storage wise you'll want a few more chests than you otherwise would, but that's about it. 'Bout the same amount of pressure, more or less.

... though yeah, if you felt constrained by vanilla terraria's inventory, thorium certainly isn't going to be better. If trashing stacks of building material or obsolete/unneeded cruft when you're meandering around bothers you you're in for a bad time.

... huh. Finally get around to kicking opera back on, right as the time logged in hit straight fives. Refresh had 4 on the minutes, second refresh two or three seconds later ticked it over to 5. Serendipitous timing, it was. Had completely forgot I had noticed that was coming soon.

Probably did have trouble with it, but there is an argument to run the domkill nations with good scales. Mostly just to squeeze out as much gold as possible before everything kicks it, hopefully so you can spam castle/temple in as many provinces as you can manage, to maximize freespawn production. The productivity is probably the closest thing to out of line for a variously enthusiastic attempt at that.

... other major part isn't really applicable to single player, but it can also be an attempt to make your nation not quite as much of a pain in the arse to have a neighbor. Attempt to mitigate the likelihood/quickness of other players ganging up on you before you dominion ruins everything it touches, heh.

Medal drops depend on the tier. Tier 1 drops 5, tier 2 drops 25, and tier 3 drops 100, with extras from the boss in expert mode.
Something like that, anyway. That said, so far as the thing goes I distinctly remember having the best odds just spamming the ballista everywhere.

... though by everywhere I mean filling up a row of platforms above the gem. Ten, fifteen blocks up, maybe? Around five to ten each direction from the center of the thing. You can place the turrets on platforms just fine (incidentally, if folks haven't noticed already you get a bit extra coverage with the zappy ones if you do, don't have as much frittering itself into the ground). Never could quite tell if alternating between ground level and the platform helped better than just blanketing the platform (well, save vs. the very last/dragon boss, which is definitely platform). Might warrant some other turret or two directly-ish on top of the gem to deal with those pita flying jackasses that like to dive into the ground under the crystal.

Also all that said, flattening (or whatever lets you maximize the effect of any piercing/AoE weapons you're using) the area between gate and gem helps, as does eventually paving the ground with asphalt. Lets you push one side back and manage to get to other side before you lose the gained breathing room.

Black hole cannon's pretty neat, so long as I'm not confusing it with a yet higher tier singularity something or other. Don't recall it really being a primary weapon, though. The shot lingers for a quite a while, iirc, so it's more like an AoE turret gun or somethin'. Can hurt pretty bad if you land the shot on something, but you probably won't be shooting it that often, as terraria weapons go.

... totally could be misremembering it, though. Seem to remember two guns with similar effect, one that flew forward and pierced (so it could drag things away from you) and one that hit something and then left a deathball in its place. Might be confusing the deathball with the different deathball that fired lightning bolts or whatev' at things (not the vanilla magic orb thing, mind. Much deadlier.).

I just made that up, the ipeen thing, he never said dick measuring in any word form, or ipeen either, but that's basically what he's trying to do with Tillerson. It's a play off of e-peen.
Yeah, knew what it was riffing off of, just didn't know if it had actually shown up on twitter or wherever the blazes. Suppose we've at least not tripped over that particular sort of dialogue in regards to a sitting president. Yet.

6623
goddamnitall sod this administration that asking is something you should probably to do

Did he actually use ipeen? Like, not paraphrase or hyperbole but there actually being something out there that you can quote with the bloody POTUS using that exact wording?

He accused the Iranian IRGC (the revolutionary guards) of promoting/supporting terrorism, but stopped short of outright declaring them a terrorist group, and an Iranian official/politician has said that doing that (or if he declares the IRGC a terrorist group) would effectively be an act of war. It was an unnamed official, not President Rouhani, so, it's just rhetoric from their politicians atm.
Heh. I can give a half decent guess why. Pretty sure that's the iranian military lot trump effectively (or outright, call back if the right evidence ever finishes showing up) laundered money for, some years back.

The walls are a lie.

Castlevania speedruns can be absurd in all the right ways, some days.

I wonder what the politics are of Trump deciding to sink Obamacare himself vs. the GOP doing it. Less bad for Republicans, or more (and for who in particular?)
Depends on when the repercussions hit, basically. The short form is regardless of which does it, if something actually better doesn't get put in its place they're almost certainly fucked an election cycle or two out. Probably not 2018, in this case, but if it's not an end term implementation it'd just be 2020 instead.

Thing you have to remember is this embuggery screws a lot of people, and when people get screwed they blame the party of the current president like clockwork. If this stuff doesn't actually lead to equal or better access and lower premiums (and just in case, that sound you hear in the background when you read that is the CBO laughing until they cry and then sobbing for a while, far in the distance), the blame will splatter across both president and party like a cannon fired kitten into the windshield of someone going 80+.

Don't they usually have a barely visible x in the top right, too? Might be confusing it with CoE. Could swear there's a keyboard shortcut, though. Probably escape, can't recall.

I mean... in a sense, sure. It's literally his sodding job to get those subsidies paid, and he's the one trying to stop them, too. Someone should indeed be calling him to fix his self-inflicted cockup. Dems, reps, random voters, y'know. People.

For what (very little) it's worth, at least at the moment it looks a decent bit like that could cost the gov't money via lawsuit more than anything. Still pretty much guaranteed to hurt due to lack of surety et al, but if folks are willing and financially able to challenge it (and they are) they might manage to get the judiciary to tell the executive to shut the fuck up and do what the legislative told them to do.
