Ah... apparently? Checking, anyway. They went out a few times, came back, and then idled around until decommissioned, or whatever the equivalent of it was at the time. Far as folks seem to know they were either broke down or rotted out and subsequently sunk.

They don't have to be totally wrecked, heh. Just slow down things long enough knock on effects settle in enough to trigger the recession we're due for soon/are late for. Wouldn't be surprised if the refineries themselves could be outright pristine (and you don't need assessment to know that they ain't, considering some of them are exploding :-\) and the infrastructure damage in other places still manage to put a hurt to their output.

Dropfile may be useful, too. Don't need an account at all. Only stores stuff for 24 hours, though, which may or may not be a benefit. Upl.co is like that, too, just with a (much) longer hosting period. I forget exactly what sort of files it's okay with, or what its limits size wise are(n't), though. Is what I use for most image hosting I do, these days.

Can't really see it stopping until due redress for the election meddling is reaped, tbh. We'll be seeing more such sniping in the future, very much more likely than not.

Aye mart, the tex refineries are kinda' real damn important. Folks are going to feel it way outside texas, and more than just good odds outside the US, too. Ain't just petrol, either... they're one of the world's largest/heaviest/most productive concentrations of chemical refineries as well. Probably more than one industry that's going to see operating costs jack up for the next few months due to those refineries having to shut down/get repaired/rebuilt/etc.

E: Seriously, I'm pretty sure I wasn't exaggerating when I said (either in here or the ameripol thread) harvey has a chance of kicking off a global recession. Greater houston area isn't just a massive economy, it's one that's focused on fairly critical stuff.

Well. Hopefully it isn't round 2. Not entirely sure tex would have much of a gulf coast left if they had a round 2 this soon.

Oh. Yeah, that can definitely cause it. Very, very definitely. Spent several months in elementary school basically mainlining headache pills because every afternoon was brain hell. Then glasses, and existence became far less onerous.

I would talk to a doctor about this, seriously.
I have, actually. Didn't have much to say besides "can't tell anything's wrong, shouldn't be the medication, seek cat scan for more information." Or whatever it's called. Which... I'd like to, but if I'm going to kick it I kinda' want to kick it fed, too, so it'll be a bit longer on that front.

Well, apparently among them is the stuff that turns water into hydrochloric acid? Think that was it, anyway. Can't recall if other stuff was mentioned. It's actually probably possible to check, if the place had/has a website.

E: Sorta'. Easiest thing to find seems to just mention it produced liquid organic peroxides, without more details, far as I noticed.

Big boom came. Or boom, anyway. More possibly to come. Gods only know what it's going to do to the water around there :-\

I'm definitely late for an eye exam, yes. Pretty certainly part of it, but it's a thing even when my eye prescription isn't like... two years out of date or something. Mostly cause a eye doc visit + new glasses (or lenses, at least) is rather far from something with no costs, heh. More like at least a hundred USD, possibly two or three depending, far as I can recall from last trip. Definitely less than a brain check, but still kinda' painful. Also some memory junk going on that's been making me regularly forget to do stuff like make an appointment, bleh.

And I'unno SG. I'm fairly sure it's got more to do with some medication I'm on, just getting older, or something along the lines of ADD, if for no other reason than the headache bit's been happening (if to a smaller degree than this last incident) for... probably the better part of a decade. Would think a tumor would have just killed me by now, heh. That particular one was just significantly more intense than it usually is. Less coherent than normal, even for when my head's trying to kill me. Nap's cleared up most of the pain, though I'm also failing a will check and doing the stupid trying to figure out this bloody addon I want to exist, so it may be back soonish.

Do mention it fairly often, but that's mostly because it's been turning me into a fairly inconsistent narrator, such as it is, and I kinda' hate not being clear that some/most of what I'm saying is damnedly likely to be off in some way. It's also personally real goddamn noticeable when three, four years back it was either not happening or notably lesser in impact. Bastard and a half of a thing to regularly be noticing you're having trouble doing shit that was normal just a few years back.

It might not be terribly unusual, though... plenty of people seem to have similar stuff happen without nearly as much distress. Just something I'm pretty sensitive to considering my brain's about all I got worth even a particularly minute damn, these days.

Trying to code hurts. trying to think hurts. Doing much more than veg apparently tries to put a vice around my skull. Just shy of migraine tier headache right now. Wanted to do something real small with a little mod thing. Pretty sure done similar things in the past. Present spent two hours failing to figure out what probably takes like two lines of code and is trying to kick my brain into pain hazed nauseous semi/unconsciousness.

Really need to figure out some way to get health insurance so I can try to find out what the flying hell is causing this. Reaching the point of not being terribly livable.

Eh, give it time to saturate, maybe. As you say nenj, different supply chains et al, but given enough time for the ease of one to push the other aside...

That would be an interesting study, yes. I'd expect those to go up, the street dealers have to compensate their lost income somewhere.
Be sorta' interesting to find out if that's even possible, tbh, though. In a scenario where it actually is undercutting the ground level price. Weed tends to be one of the major-ish substances income wise, far as I'm aware. I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find out trying to avoid losses to legal production (assuming it was driving down prices) by upping the price on other stuff would start pricing people out of the market, such as it is, to the extent that's possible when dealing with addictive substances.

... 'course, if it does have that kind of knock-on effect, and it hits the illicit market harder than just the loss of the marijuana income itself, well. Mission accomplished? Kinda' one of the reasons you legalize, to kneecap street distribution on more levels than jut the weed.

E: Though in other news, the FCC's apparently voting on whether or not it fucks the internet, sometime today or tomorrow? Be impressive if they don't, considering the current head's less a person and more a sock puppet worn over the industry's dick.

Also, marriage is not legally defined as a covenant with God, only as a contract between a man and woman in which they live together (genders involved have been updated/stricken in recent times, of course).
Eh? No, marriage isn't legally defined as a husband and wife (or two partners, or whatever) living together, dun. Pretty sure it hasn't been for quite a long while, even, if ever so far as the US court systems are concerned.

It is a legal contract, but it's one that makes the pair a single entity for many/most legal concerns, including taxation (if not opted out of, which is more expensive). Relatively similar to a joint partnership business, iirc, where all involved are responsible for any/most debts, court concerns, etc. Doesn't really have much to do with where they're living, though. Just how they're filing.

And yeah, strictly speaking it has fuck all to do with the religious conventions. It's a legal contract with primarily financial concerns and a side of property/guardianship/etc. It's honestly kinda' sketchy as hell we do limit it by gender, because that's adhering to a religious tenant more than anything that has to do with the legal arrangements involved. Those arrangements don't really have much of a damn to give about what's banging (or not) what with what sort of dangly (or not) bits, they care whether or not they got your ass in a joint and several agreement so far as paying your taxes and criminal/civil liability are concerned.

Heh. That would appear to be the reason I actually got around to joining the forum. First post was confirming/helping to confirm a Z-level bug with indefinitely suspended mid-air stuff, day or so after that release.
