Civil what now? Is it edible?

You're (conceptually, anyway) protected from physical assault and maybe direct theft. Right to individual ownership is about all you get, with the extent of the law largely being what falls out of it and nothing else. Don't like how the area treats you, move. Can't move, well, you get to die miserable, possibly in a ditch. Have fun with that.

Can't remember the details, but that particular line of thought either dismisses civil rights as a concept (there's fundamental rights and sod all else) or interprets them very differently and/or much more narrow, iirc.

Maybe yes, maybe no? The critter's doing bog standard scattershot lolbertarian nonsense; not proving anything is half the point, as whenever something is questioned, corrected, or pointed out as bugnuttery, you immediately throw out a half dozen other things, most of them at-best loosely connected.

If it's not trolling, it's someone that's been bamboozled by folks that were, basically. Also obvious enough I can see why desc would react like that, though it's maybe on the excessive side. Mess actually made my headache worse just looking at it, heh.

Wasn't like that was the only thing said, regardless. Plus there's bits just in that quote so farcically wrong I could understand someone just not wanting to have to keep seeing it.

Ah... yeah, pretty sure that wasn't aimed at you, smj. Just didn't bother with quoting instead of letting the intended stand obvious.

You're probably thinking of health care, where he did the exact same thing.
No, no, the health care I'm much less unsure of. Meant specifically military stuff. Pretty sure there was the ISIS best!plan, and then a few other ones, not including this latest.

... isn't this like the third time he's told them that or something? I could swear I've heard the words, "Trump's new plan, get generals to make new plan." or variations of it more than once in the last twelve months.

Drive by lassoing would also be good. Hell, for the more western states it would totally be thematic, too. People need to get on top of this, this stuff hasn't been nearly weird enough for 2017 yet. Well, the statue ganking hasn't been.

Can you stop bogarting that and pass it over here already?
Eh? Nothing to pass, I'm mildly ill, not intoxicated on something. I mean, I'd love to teleafflict you with whatever the hell's been making my day cruddy if it made me feel better but I don't think you want that. Also I can't figure out how.

... yeah, no fire. EPA isn't in the process of being gutted, FCC hasn't unleashed the hounds, state department isn't in barely functioning shambles, gods don't know what ICE & co. are getting up to, POTUS hasn't been working to cut healthcare subsidies for low income americans, all the other ways the executive isn't burning itself down while the legislative doesn't do its usual with an extra dose of internecine conflict and the judicial just kinda' avoids looking at everyone and going, "What the blue hell are you people making me rule on."

Fwoosh.

Dunno how much of the memo you caught, but the better part of a decade of GOP obstructionism in the legislative branch has managed to point fairly enthusiastically to a lot of stuff the POTUS can do even without congress or party support. Trump's lot has been giving it a pretty decent go, considering how badly they've been sabotaging themselves at the same time.

... honestly, I could see it. Like, an upsized tactical mounted potato launcher type thing? Civilian build but with enough kick to knock over or break up a statue. Bolted into the back of a truck, just drive right by and blast the thing over, hollerin' the whole way.

Hopefully the recoil doesn't flip you. Alternately, you get hella' recoil and do a vehicular barrel roll of victory.

bloody hell, now I just want to see someone build a machine that can consistently do that for a car, barrel roll on tap baby. Could have the horn be that star fox voiceover done real loud.

... was the horse not dead enough? No? Keep beating, you say? Ell den, gimme dat beaty stick, wez gon' fix it up nice and gud fer yeh!

Ah well. Maybe relic'll look at the DoW3 thing and do right by AoE as recompense. I'm sure a lotta' folks would be willing to excuse a DoW entry shittier than 2 if it meant a solid AoE game.

Alternatively, we have an AoE game where a buncha' feral orkz rok in and we get to have a game of them vs AoE level tech. The Age of Myths guys could join it, too!

Uh. Actually, I think I'd be more interested in that than an AoE 4. Like, a jump all stars or smash brothers, except RTS and Relic? Could get behind that as a concept.

That'd do it. Was trying for that myself, but couldn't recall like... half the appropriate organization/etc. names at the time.

Also I'd be surprised if trump isn't already getting AM talk radio to some extent. Or some kind of rough equivalent. Suppose it could make things worse, but maybe his ego couldn't take being talked at like they tend to, for too long?

Yeah, seem to be at or past the peak. Can't really tell a difference, don't have anything except shoddy sunglasses to take a direct peek (which I did a quick one with anyway. Daystar is star, the eyedots have since cleared up). I think it was actually more impressive with lower coverage, here, somehow.

... now for a nap in hopes of it dealing with this headache.

... y'know, part of me almost thinks it's unfortunate he remembered the shades. There's some dark corner of my heart that wonders if trump being able to only hear the news would not be better for everyone.

E: On the other hand, trump losing his eyesight and/or eyes and becoming the first president with cybereyes would at least be something undeniably positive to come out of the administration. Hrm. Need some kind of catchy name for a group stumping for that. Presidential Eyeball Preservation Society? Peps. Eh... head hurts too much to do better.

E2: Or squad. Squad is probably better. Can tell trump he's meeting with a pep squad and instead of cheerleaders it's tongs.
