It's my understanding that none of that will prevent him from running, it might even help him among his crowd.
There is extremely few things that can prevent any american citizen of applicable age from running for president. Nothing trump's been indited for is among them.

Trying to run a presidential campaign from a jail cell or while dealing with multiple criminal trials is something of a difficult thing to manage, though. He's almost certainly locked in for the primary if he doesn't drop out the race or literally die, but there is precious little chance he'd do anything but get drubbed in the general trying to campaign under those conditions.

For the disappearance of Sheikah tech, I always thought that the ancient tech was inactive except in the presence of Calamity Ganon, and the tech coming active and unburying itself before BOTW was how they knew the big G was about to strike?
It's probably worth noting that for a fair amount of sheikah stuff in the previous game, if you go to their location in totk there's apparently, well. Holes. Some of them going even deeper than the depths you have access to.

So there's not much active commentary in game on what happened to the stuff, but there's definitely less explicit indication something did. Game's just cagey about it, more or less. Why, I'unno. Maybe they're saving it for a DLC or somethin'.

... would that make the male a dullacock?

Would. Would it float? Do you sharpen the heads of dullacock to make them evolve?

e: no, i get it, if you sharpen the dullacock head calcutta grows chicken legs and becomes cockcutta, it's like some kind of baba yaga house thing except undead pokemon expies

this works less well considering calcutta apparently changed its name a couple decades ago and no one told me, but whatever

Already lost the words and most of the details, but dream brain just hit me with an animated disney movie style musical piece about two-phase menstruation in fairies.

They were having some kind of festival celebrating the first time (biological details, apparently the entire species was synched up) for their latest generation, and the queens (there were two, for a specific and related reason) burst into song.

Wild thing, production values were top notch, what little I can remember suggests the song was solid in lyrics and whatnot, too (sometimes dream brain does song writing/composing... if I could remember the damn things I think I'd make a mint 'cause it's remarkably good at it).

Anyway, one thing that stood out is it was basically friggin' yin-yang themed. When it starts, their lower halves go two-toned black and white in color, split down the middle, and each side had different characteristics in exactly what happens on flow. It was the reason there were two fairy queens, even, 'cause while the critters in general ran the gamut of pastels for normal coloration, like you'd expect from a disney movie involving fairies, the royalty was split into paired monochrome.

... any case, what the hell dream brain. I have great respect for the thing 'cause it's basically never done me dirty and it's consistently amazing in output, but sometimes the thing gets weirder than usual. Great worldbuilding and production, as usual, but... still. Still.

grind their bones to make your... breard?

For some reason that portmanteau is mildly discomforting to even look at :-\

Kessler syndrome on literally toxic steroids may somehow be an even worse idea than flooding the earth's orbit.

Hey, maybe they've figured out a way to get those to work really, really hard instead of having a bunch of them...

... or it's talking about a chip from several decades ago or something.

E: In other news, today I learned of pink kryptonite.

now i just wonder if there were kryptonian frogs that survived to be turned gay by pink kryptonite in the water

It's not like they're terrible or anything. I've basically always had cats either in or around the house, so the biggest "problem" I've had with mice or rats in my lifetime has been having to deal with a dead one dropped off to encourage me to hunt better (well, and the one time one of the cats scared the hell out of kid frumple by going through a room with a dead rat roughly as big as the cat was), but there ain't really nothin' wrong to tossing them out in a field to feed owls or snakes or whatev' instead.

... there's something to be appreciated in the humane option being to send them out to have a go with an area they're far less familiar with and that is probably chock full of more predators, though, so they get to have massive stress from the imprisonment and relocation on top of a probably painful death. Makes me feel better about just feeding them to the cats :V

So... Changeling vigilante who targets murderers while wearing the faces of the victims that were killed.

I think the concept could have some merit. Could even tie it in as a side plot thingy by luring the party in with talk of undead activity being spotted... But of course the only people who have seen these "undead" are themselves killers, and probably not too keen on revealing why/how they know the "deceased".
I've seen that in writing before, somewhere or another. Can't even a little remember where, but it's a concept someone thought was good enough to publish.

You're thinking of spring-kill types, or possibly glue traps. There's other "humane" ones intended for "just get the thing out of my house", where you're expected to let the thing go outside.
Huh. Yeah, on thinking about it, it makes sense that kind of thing would exist. I've just... never actually seen one before. Not in stores, or in use.

I've seen the glue ones sold, at least, but the only ones I've ever seen anyone actually use is the spring-kill ones (almost always followed by feeding it to the nearest cat).

Traditional solution to mouse disposal is nearest garbage can or cat.

I don't think I've ever seen a mousetrap used that had the mouse survive the experience, though. Catch and release would be kinda' weird, chucking a dead/crippled mouse out your door. At least nudge it towards something that's going to eat it, sheesh.

Eh... given enough time, the core cools to the point those vents close off/shut down, too. Iirc the time frame for that's a lot longer out than just a million years, though.

718
Yeah, I'm starting to feel all that. Been doing a run or two with a psiblade pugilist build again, and I'm killing everything easy peasy. No competition. And then some rando monster comes 'round a corner and manages to score a single lucky hit, suddenly one-shotting me for 1.5k HP. Never mind hundreds of armour from repulsion or anything else for that matter.
It is a bit silly at this point. But it's been a good twenty hours or so of surprisingly well-crafted fun.
Yeah, high cycle you have to be a lot more deliberate in how you move, basically, even if you're mulching everything you touch. Corners are the devil, heh (any of the stand-still-do-damage hats are really helpful for this, incidentally, as it gives you an easy way to see if there's something back there), and any personal HP count below like 2.5-3k is functionally irrelevant, might as well be 1 hp 'cause you're still in 1-shot range. It's one of the places in the game you can really notice the traditional roguelike influence in it, because it's definitely willing to blow you up if you move wrong.

The defensive stats are interesting things that are way, way better tuned for low-cycle runs (which, in fairness, is explicitly what the game's balanced around -- the dev is building this thing for 1st cycle, everything after that is just for fun, not reasonable design), because they've all got an unmitigable 10% chance to fail. Low cycle, not much is going to be both reasonably able to get close to you and able to blow you up with a 2k+ hit, so that 10% failure chance isn't much of a "your run ends" 10% chance.

High cycle, though. High cycle it is. High cycle, defensive stats are a roulette that might get you through the game but you're pulling the trigger every time something with a hit stat higher than your HP takes a swing at you, and there's going to be lots of things with a hit stat higher than your HP. You can usually play around it, barring a remarkably terrible spawn, but building around it is somewhere between difficult and impossible. Not relying on just one of them reduces the chance something rolls a 90 and invalidates it, but it never entirely removes it.

719
Yeah, that'd be me.

Late cycle starts do sometimes take some luck, though, if you're not doing something that gives a specific sort of edge... I wouldn't call it safer combinations, exactly, but you need something that actually lets you kill stuff, which can be difficult in the beginning with a lot of builds.

There's times where I just keep rolling starts until I get something actually survivable -- 1st floor hobgoblins in 12th cycle is likely to kill just about anything, to the point I usually just hold down 5 until they kill me when I start with them, but ratmen or wyrms (if you have some range) are more generally survivable. Might take five or six tries just to survive long enough to get a foothold, heh. Fortunately it's real easy to restart, you just hit enter a few times and it'll start you back with the exact same generation combo.

... and some builds are just not viable in high cycle early game. You're pretty unlikely to make it doing any sort of melee range defensive build from the start in 12th cycle. Transitioning into it is viable-ish, but starting... stuff just hits too hard, and you have too little HP no matter what defensive powers you've picked up.

So for the folks that have been playing, since I haven't seen any explanation in the playthrough I've been watching...

... does the game ever explain where Zelda picks up the hyrulean prison ink, and who she killed in the process of getting it? 'Cause teardrops like that are known as a sign you've murdered someone, and I've been wondering who she offed ever since they showed up. She didn't start the game with the things, so it had to have been picked up in the past at some point.
