Presumably whatever is on the other side of the link neo posted has answers. Couldn't tell you, m'self. I'm not going to any web address that has milk nazis and shia labeouf in the same url.

Heh. That last bit has me imagine a future where you force a scribe or somethin' an opposing force sends you as an emissary into dungeons until they commit suicide from the stress.

... which is rather morbid, now that I think if it. We totally need a way to assign followers or enemy diplomats to work in the mines at some point in the future, though. "To show your sincerity, you must mine 20 units of adamantine from the blighted ore mines of the burning hills with your own hands. Return once this is done and you will receive an audience."

... it's possible in a conceptual sense. Maybe. I'd probably disagree fairly strongly, since that position implies market forces work properly on industries like healthcare, when they very much don't.

On the actual hand that exists, it clearly doesn't work in the US for millions upon millions of citizens, which makes a hypothetical working system more or less entirely irrelevant. Since it doesn't, here.

Sure. If that link doesn't take you straight to the external links, it's at the bottom of the wiki page. Also at the top. Look for .pdf links.

And you'd think it doesn't require much research, but one of the persistent things the GOP harp on is that tax breaks for the wealthy improve conditions for everyone. Obviousness isn't sufficient when it comes to some things.

E: Here's another, though it's probably mildly outdated. Was from the initial proposition, and I don't think the amendments and whatnot mentioned on the stuff linked above are included.

Yeah, most of what I've noticed seems to suggest you're probably not going to have a good time getting at the things until at least early april.

Probably say it's worth it if a decent sale pops up. 20 bucks is maybe sketchy, but five, ten... wouldn't be worried about not getting money's worth at that price.

Play wise... there's still a demo, and it gives a pretty good showing. Full thing's basically just that with more time and more stuff that's mostly of the same sorts of mechanics. Story is fairly linear, mostly because the progression largely is. End up more or less working your way through bands of the solar system, as various things constrain you ability to build somethin' that'll reach the next batch of distance. Kinda' samey, kinda' slim on content, but still fairly neat. Just probably not the most amazing thing in the world, heh.

... it's not a legitimate best anything, much less compromise. Just a half assed attempt at a goddamn terrible idea, stuffed full of its own bloody terrible ideas. Compromise usually tries to meet in the middle. This thing basically just gives the exact opposite of what anyone (outside the insurance companies and a portion of the wealthy, anyway) wanted.

Checkabouts have been suggesting it could actually manage to be worse than a straight up repeal, since at least under those conditions specific laws could be passed for the more desired stuff without being yoked to all the other shit trumpcare is trying to drag in. How the hell you manage that when the ACA has been being actively sabotaged by GOP efforts, I'm not entirely sure. It's almost impressive the GOP has spent the better part of the last decade trying to make this possible, and this pile of dung is what got crapped out.

No, no, the correct path is to pick one and then calmly murder everyone that uses a different one. Eventually there's only one standard left. standard disclaimer: don't actually murder anyone over standard conflicts, please

Probably mostly ego, or something like it. Thing isn't very capable of anything resembling a "yo', we fucked up." Among other things trump doesn't have a very good relationship with the GOP, and doesn't react well to opposition. His party popping up resistance is generally just going to cause the shit to double down.

Would be entirely unsurprised if there's some kickback involved somewhere in there, too. Lot of good shit supposed to happen for insurers according to the proposed bit.

Uh, because the people bringing and selling drugs in school zones are mostly teenagers who go to those schools? Yeah, lock the fuckers up, keep those private prisons full.
C'mon man, got to keep the drug pipeline running for the rich bastards that never have to suffer for it one way or another. Though now I'm half wondering how much that line of reasoning might actually have been involved. Oklahoma happen to have one of its major drug trades be one of the sorts preferred by better off folks?

'Course, as a broader thing goes, I'd probably argue pretty cheerfully against mandatory sentencing for anything, at the absolute least so far as felony classification and incarceration time goes. Shit seems to cause more problems than it solves pretty consistently, and often enough by a pretty sizeable margin. Be willing to lay good odds we'd be better off just without the damned stuff.

Eh... there's deleting vids and whatnot. Maybe just using somethin' sides YT. Fair enough reason not to, though. Only asked cause whatever mess of coding twitch uses destroys performance for me, heh. Technically capable of it, but it's a miserable stuttery experience that does its darndest to ignite my machines in the process. Kinda' unfortunate considering how much stuff is on the thing.

Oh, one of the fun bits is the premiums were only forecast to reduce for certain demographics. Pointedly, a demographic that doesn't include is the over 65 bracket :V

Can't recall how open the report is about exactly how those premiums are reducing, heh. Premium's reducing because your policy went to shit, you say? Well, you're paying less, right? You blighters didn't say anything about maintaining your level of coverage. Should have said something about that while you were kvetching people into office.

Sounds neat. Any idea if it'll be uploaded to youtube or something? Twitch runs like complete ass on every computer I have access to, heh.
